Chapter 49: Mrs. Mei

   Chapter 49 No Mei Shitai

The footsteps of Zhike Monk were very soft, and even Li Jiao's breathing became lighter.

For a moment, she regretted it.

Will    be discovered?

Li Jiao felt a little heavy.

The acquaintance monk of Dafu Temple has been receiving the female relatives of wealthy families for many years. He winked a little and said with relief: "You don't have to be nervous, the little benefactor, the teacher is very kind."

   "Master has seen Shitai Wumei?"

Zhike Seng smiled and shook his head: "The poor monk didn't have the chance to see him. I heard Shishu mention it. For so many years, Shitai has never seen outsiders. It is rare for a small donor to see Shitai."

Hearing this, Li Jiao's regret disappeared.

What are you afraid of? Grandmother pushed her out. The only people who saw handwritten Buddhist scriptures were people from Loei and Dafu Temple. As long as she was killed and didn't say anything, how would the teacher know that she was an impostor? She has never heard of someone who asked people to pick up a pen on the spot because of her outstanding calligraphy and painting. As long as she survives this moment, no one among the noble girls in the capital will be able to surpass her limelight.

Li Jiao thought about this and secretly encouraged herself.

Zhike monk stopped at the entrance of Shuying Nunnery. A middle-aged nun took over the copy of Buddhist scriptures and led Li Jiao through the door.

Li Jiao couldn't hide her curiosity. Out of the corner of her eyes, she scrutinized the surrounding scenery. She thought that she would have a lot to talk about in the future.

Li Jiao had a lot of thoughts along the way. When she came back to her senses, she was brought to the front of Wumei Shitai by the nun.

"Is this the girl?" Wumei Shitai said, his voice was cold, without a trace of fireworks.

"Master, this is Miss Li Er who copied this Buddhist scripture." The nun respectfully presented the copy of the Buddhist scripture to Shitai Wumei.

Wumei Shitai stretched out his hand to take it, rubbed the Buddhist scriptures lovingly, and then smiled at Li Jiao: "Little donor, come forward."

Li Jiao became nervous all of a sudden, and was busy paying respects to Master Wumei.

Wumei Shitai smiled: "No need to be too polite, poor nun did not expect that you are so small."

She suddenly pointed to the Buddhist scriptures in her hands and asked Li Jiao, "This is copied by the little benefactor?"

Li Jiao's heart beat fast, she mustered up the courage to spit out a word: "Yes."

Wumei Shitai looked at her with emotions that she couldn't understand flowing in his eyes.

There was no sound in the room, and Li Jiao even had the illusion that the teacher in front of her, the former eldest princess, would watch it like this for a long time.

She clenched her fists quietly, her palms wet with sweat.

"Although it is a genuine book, it is difficult to conceal its sparseness and beauty." Wumei Shitai murmured.

The world can do this, she only knows one person.

Li Jiao couldn't help raising her head under such compliments, and daringly looked at Shitai Wumei's appearance.

Wumei Shitai has condensed brows and eyes, outstanding plumpness, and the thin lines at the corners of her eyes add to her a serene beauty of the years, making people unable to see her age.

When Wumei was too young, she must have been a one-of-a-kind beauty. Li Jiao couldn't help feeling emotional.

The honor of the princess, the elegance is peerless, how can such a person be born out of the family?

In this emotion, Li Jiao listened to Master Wumei asking: "Little donor, can you recite Layman Qinglian's "Wine Will Enter"?"

"Yes." Li Jiao couldn't help but smile.

Such a masterpiece that has been passed down through the ages, but who would not memorize it?

   "Come." Wumei Shitai got up.

Li Jiao followed into the back room.

Indoor snow caves are generally only one bed, one case and several chairs.

Wumei Shitai pointed to the table case: "Little donor, the poor nun would like you to write an article "Wine into the Wine" for the poor nun, I wonder if you can?"

  Li Jiao was stunned.

Wumei Shitai looked at her lightly, but there was a dark flow under the plain eyes.

Li Jiao's face was completely pale, and her beautiful face was whiter than a snow hole.

"I—" She opened her mouth, but it seemed like cotton was stuffed in her throat, and she couldn't say a word after that.

Wumei Shitai did not urge, but her eyes were too long, which made Li Jiao deeply realize that she could not find a reason to shirk.

The reason why Mrs. Wumei saw her was because she wanted to see her write, not because she suddenly became interested in letting her write after seeing her!

Under those eyes, Li Jiao stubbornly picked up the pen, the tip of the pen didn't fall, and finally a drop of ink smudged the white paper on the table into a black ball.

As the ink fell, there was also her cold sweat.

Master Wumei frowned slightly and suddenly understood.

Since Li Jiao came in until now, her peaceful expression finally changed.

  Ice and snow force people.

Li Jiao's writing hand began to tremble, and in the end, her whole body trembled as if she was sifted, and she no longer had the slightest bearing of a scholarly lady.

Master Wumei sighed in disappointment, and instructed the nuns standing outside: "Jingxi, take this little donor out, and tell the nephews of Dafu Temple that they took the wrong person."

"Yes." The middle-aged nun glanced at Li Jiao, who was dumbfounded, and shook his head secretly, "Girl, let's go."

Li Jiao seemed to have lost her soul, and followed the nun out of the way, when she heard the voice of Shitai Wumei from behind: "Jingxi, bring the right person to see me."

Jingxi was shocked and said respectfully, "Yes."

Shuying'an's road soon came to an end, and the monk who was waiting outside greeted him.

Jingxi frowned: "Junior brother, this is not the female donor who wrote that Buddhist scripture, you got the wrong person."

Zhike Seng gave Li Jiao a shocked look, which made her feel ashamed and couldn't help but take a step back.

"This...this is really unexpected..." After a while, the monk monk squeezed out a sentence.

"Junior brother, hurry up and go back, my uncle is still waiting."

"Wait?" Under extreme shock, the monk monk reacted much slower.

Jingxi explained helplessly: "Naturally, he is waiting for the younger brother to bring over the female benefactor who really copied the Buddhist scriptures."

Uncle Master only sees outsiders once in so many years, and it is really unpleasant that this kind of omission comes out.

Knowing guest Seng Rong assured: "Senior brother, rest assured, this time I will never get it wrong again."

Jingxi nodded, turned and entered the nunnery.

Li Jiao felt like a big hole had been broken in her heart, and she felt like she was walking in ice and snow.

On the way back, no one said any words of relief, and even the quiet mountain wind seemed to have stopped.

"Miss Reiji is back—" There was a commotion in the temple.

When they touched Li Jiao's strange demeanor, everyone was even more curious, so they went directly to the living room where Mrs. Jiang was staying, and if it was inconvenient, they also sent servants to inquire about the news.

The guest monk led Li Jiao into the hall, and the hall was silent for a while, and then the laughter sounded again.

"Oh, our second girl is back, come here, come here." Mrs. Li shouted with a smile.

The wife next to her interrupted with a smile: "As long as you speak quickly, the second girl should come to Xiangjun's side even if she comes. We are lucky to hear the second girl talk about the experience in the nunnery today, so we should snicker."

Mrs. Jiang couldn't hide her smile when she heard it, and didn't realize something was wrong until Monk Zhike approached.

Zhike monk greeted Mrs. Jiang and chanted the Buddha's name: "Old lady, I am afraid there is something wrong in this. It is not this girl that the master of Shuying'an wants to see."

As soon as these words came out, the needles could be heard inside and outside the hall.

The female niece Jinghui who appeared on the stage was guest-starred by the book group cloveryo children's shoes.
