"You're right. There are many women who are far more beautiful and rich than Lisa. But Lisa is the only woman I want in this world," Oscar replied coldly. "I don't know how else to tell you to stop disturbing my life. I know I'm old enough to know what's good and bad for me."

While saying that, Oscar deliberately grabbed Lisa's hand. He saw Greta's pupils dilate and the veins in her neck bulge, but he ignored her and tightened his grip on Lisa's hand.

Without letting Greta reply, Oscar continued, "Hurry up and bring William here. I won't say anything to Papa. Otherwise… I'll have to tell him everything you've done up to this day!"

Greta's heart instantly shattered into pieces when she heard Oscar's words. She seemed to have just heard the bad news that befell her family. The woman's face immediately paled and she felt her lips and tongue unable to move at all.

"Unfortunately, you don't know me very well even though you are my own mother," Oscar continued, "How could I have the heart to do that to you? Telling Papa about your evil deeds is like destroying our family. And for the rest of my life… I don't want my parents to separate."

"There are some things I can help cover up, like the one you had with my uncle. And I had planned not to tell Papa about it, I thought everything would be revealed in time. But it turns out that you still misunderstood my good intentions and planned to threaten me by kidnapping William."

"Give me William now or I'll tell Papa everything." Oscar continued in a threatening tone.

If Greta's intention of bringing William here was to threaten Oscar as well as Lisa, now the demonic woman felt like she had been slapped hard. The table was turned and she finally had to taste what she had done. Now she was the one being threatened, not the one threatening the lovers.

Greta's legs felt weak and like jelly, making the woman almost fall backwards. In front of Lisa, the bitch she hated so much, Oscar exposed all her evil plans! Now, where did she want to put her face? 

As if not wearing a single cloth, Greta felt embarrassed. The demonic woman felt like she was exposed to a world without wearing any clothes. Now, all the ugliness and malice of her heart was exposed in front of Lisa.

Greta walked back a few steps while touching her chest. She really didn't expect Oscar to know about her evil plans! With a trembling voice and a heart that felt nothing, Greta opened her lips.

"O-Oscar, what, what do you mean? I…I didn't mean to kidnap—"

Before Greta could continue, Oscar said, "What did you say? You mean to kidnap William from us because you want to threaten me? You want to threaten me because you're afraid I'll spill everything to Papa?"

Hearing the words that came out of Oscar's lips made Greta's heart feel like it was being shot by an arrow. The woman no longer had the strength to speak and replied to Oscar's words. She could only watch and let Oscar expose her.

It was a pity that she was his own mother. For whatever reason, Oscar never thought that his mother would do that to him and her own grandson. Even though they were rarely on good terms, it didn't mean that Oscar didn't think of that demonic woman as his mother.

"Mom," Oscar finally called after calling Greta by name for so long. "I'm really disappointed in you. You have taken all the happiness that I have, and now… who knows if you're still planning to take it all from me. I'm really disappointed, Mom."

Hearing Oscar calling her Mom after so long made Greta's heart melt. It had been a long time since she had heard that nickname come out of her favorite boy's lips. But unfortunately, Oscar only called her by that title when he was disappointed with her actions. It wasn't that the man had finally forgiven all of her actions.

"Oscar, listen to me. I had absolutely no intention of hurting William. You know that William is my own grandson! How could I have the heart to hurt him?!"

Oscar, who still clearly remembers the incident where Greta helped Clara kidnap William, clenched his fists. He just wished he could suppress the emotions inside him. Don't let his emotional feelings come out of his body and make him do things he'll probably regret later.

"Ma, William is my son with Lisa. I still remember clearly what you did at that time that almost let Clara kill William. Now you still want to kidnap William and hurt him again?"

The four eyes that were looking at her with emotion and hatred made Greta feel helpless. She could only support herself on her dressing table which now felt cold in the palm of her hand. Only this time she felt her lips tightly pressed together and her tongue felt limp, and that she had no strength to answer Oscar's question.

At the same time, when the bedroom was shrouded in silence, suddenly the door to Greta's room was forcibly opened. Not long after, a female voice that was quite foreign to Lisa's and Oscar's ears sounded shaky.

"Miss Greta, William just fell off the windowsill!" The woman exclaimed hastily. And when she caught the presence of Lisa and Oscar in Greta's bedroom, the woman quickly covered her lips with both hands.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry—"

Greta's plan for today was to tie William's legs together for a bit in the storeroom in the attic. She knew that the boy was smart and could do anything with his tiny body. That was why Greta had the maid she had just hired tie William's feet to the windowsill.

Greta was planning to send William to Sweden with the maid earlier. She wanted to send him to a place where the boy could not be found except for her confidants. 

Even though William was sent to Sweden and hidden somewhere in that country, that didn't mean she would harm the boy. She had prepared a place for the boy to grow up as well as the people who would later take care of him.

Greta absolutely had no desire to hurt William. She just wanted to take William away from Oscar, keep him away from the couple, and give him a new life abroad.

But unfortunately, her plan….. failed again.
