Villain Cultivator

679 Authority

Chapter 679 – Authority

Miaomiao was proud of Tlaloc. Now, this guy might go around and capture more prisoners from Heavenly Dao and Player Faction.

Orochi gazed at Tlaloc in envy. He turned to Miaomiao, asking for the latter's permission with his eyes.

Miaomiao nodded at Orochi. Although he wanted to promote Mir first, satisfying his customer might be a better choice as Orochi might join his faction after this.

Noticing Miaomiao's approval, he walked toward the altar and touched the platform, which was still soaked with dragon's blood.

Suddenly, the Altar shone in red light, and the blood vanished. A system panel also appeared in front of Orochi. Miaomiao and others also received the same message.

<Sacrificial Altar can only be used once a day. Please come back tomorrow.>

Orochi frowned. Then, he turned to Miaomiao again.

"What's the meaning of this, Mao Miaomiao?!"

Miaomiao rested his hands on his hips and slightly shook his head, "Don't blame this on me. Blame it on Pangu. We're playing the game by his rules."

Despite being glared at, Miaomiao took his time to fly toward Orochi. He touched the altar and pressed the stopwatch, trying to accelerate time.

Orochi also sensed the power of Chrono Providence. He stopped complaining and waited for Miaomiao to finish what he was doing.

For a brief moment, Orochi saw a shadow of a cat's paw on Miaomiao's stopwatch, but he ignored it.

It took Miaomiao an hour to finish.

Ding

<Sacrificial Altar is ready to use.>

Miaomiao's robe was drenched in sweat. The system altar drained a lot of Qi and stamina to the point that he was exhausted.

"Yours, senior."

Orochi gave Miaomiao a meaningful look. He appreciated what Miaomiao had done, and he understood everything now.

"Thanks for the trouble. I'll return this favor one day."

"No biggie. Just don't harm my friends, family, and kingdom in the future."

Orochi revealed a faint smile. He pressed the altar again and tried to activate it.

Ding

<A neutral faction sage cannot use this altar. Please surrender or join the Chaos Realm Faction first before you can use Chaos Realm's facility.>

Currently, Orochi hadn't officially surrendered or joined forces with Miaomiao's faction yet. The system immediately warned him that he couldn't use it.

Miaomiao sighed. He waved his hand and invited Mir over.

The Cathulhu, who was supposed to be next, obediently answered Miaomiao's call. She transformed into an orange kitten and sat on Miaomiao's right shoulder.

"Need a hand, munya?"

"Yes, senior. Can you accept Orochi as one of your subordinates, chess pieces, or your vessels? We need him to officially join our side."

Mir tilted her head, "Why don't you accept him yourself, munya?"

"I used up all my chess pieces. And if Orochi joins my dantian universe, he won't be able to get out of this plane."

"Oh, I get it now, munya!"

Orochi widened his eyes and glared at Miaomiao for a second. Then, he recalled that he wasn't a part of Miaomiao's subordinate.

As Orochi was smart, he didn't make a fuss. He descended the altar and stood in front of Miaomiao.

"Had I been in my prime, I would have killed you for this insult. Well, since you are sincerely trying to help me, I'll let go of my pride and submit to this unrestrained sage… cat."

Mir nodded at him, "You're making the right decision, munya! I haven't appointed anyone as a chess piece yet, so I'll give this to you, munya!"

The orange cat suddenly vomited a rook chess piece, which was entangled by her orange fur.

Despite being disgusted by the digestive fluid and the wet fur, Orochi grabbed it and peeled off the fur. Then, he pushed the chess piece into his palm.

A tattoo of a rook appeared on his palm. The ritual was completed.

Ding

<This is a global announcement. Orochi has submitted to Chaos Realm Faction!>

The announcement annoyed both Orochi and Miaomiao. By now, everybody should have learned about Orochi's movement.

Orochi scoffed at the message. He returned to the altar.

Fuxi knew his role. He allocated 10 clones to the altar first to promote Orochi into an unrestrained sage.

Miaomiao backed away from the altar. He stood next to Nuwa, who had been observing the deed at the foot of the pyramid.

Adam, Fu Daotian, and others slowly came out of Nuwa's dantian universe to witness the usage of the altar. When they saw that Orochi was using it, they gazed at Miaomiao and Nuwa, questioning them with their eyes.

Without looking at them, Miaomiao assured them, "He's our ally now."

"… I see," Adam bitterly smiled. "Do me a favor, Miaomiao. Don't treat me and my men too harshly. We're on the same side."

"Then, do me a favor as well. Manage your men and your sentinels a bit. I don't want them to run amok and kill my cute cats. You see, I'm afraid that they will start using my cats as sacrifices one day."

"I'll try my best not to disappoint you."

"Thank you. Sorry about the earlier."

"No problem. I understand why you did that."

Just like that, Adam forgave Miaomiao. He was also relieved that Miaomiao openly told him what his problem was.

RUMBLE

Meanwhile, the Sacrificial Altar instantly killed 10 dragon clones. Their blood merged with Orochi, and his cultivation base increased by a major stage. Now, he was an official Unrestrained Sage.

"Again!" Commanded Orochi. He didn't bother stabilizing his foundation.

DING

<Sacrificial Altar can only be used once a day. Please come back tomorrow.>

"…"

Orochi paused for a moment. Then, he looked at Miaomiao.

But Miaomiao shook his head. He hadn't recovered from the mental exhaustion and the depletion of his Chrono Providence Qi.

"I need some time to recover and convert my Life Providence Qi into Chrono Providence Qi. Give me a few hours to rest."

"No need. I'll do this myself," Orochi sat cross-legged and mimicked Miaomiao's skill.

Everybody, including Fuxi and Nuwa, fixated their eyes on Orochi. They were curious how this former dragon god was so proficient at time-domain law.

"I thought only Devil, Kishin Douji, Miaomiao, and Xie Tian are the only masters of Chrono Providence under the sage realm," Adam narrowed his eyes.

Fuxi wryly smiled, "It's the sage's law and nature. All sages can use time and space abilities."

"Really?"

"Sages transcended time and space, Adam. We become one with the universe, and we can see everything in the past and present. However, not all sages live in the 4th dimension. At best, they can calculate future and read the karma memory better than deities."

"Then, can sage travel back in time or travel to the future?"

Fuxi smirked and looked at the corner of the plane.

At the northeast edge of the plane, Xie Tian, Xie Qingtian, Xie Lian, and Xie Fan had been gathering there, cultivating inside the gas cave that Miaomiao had discovered.

Looking at the people of the Xie Clan calmed Fuxi down. He continued his explanation, "Traveling across time and space bends the law of the universe. When someone tries to violate the law, Pangu naturally knows. He always denied the permission and kill every time cultivator."

"Wait, kill all time traveler?! What about Xie Tian, remnant sentient will of other timeline's people, Samael, and those war droid's clones?"

Fuxi sighed, "All system bearers and time-travelers are probably Chaos Demon Gods and Heavenly Fiends' doing. Devil inherited the power of time from a remnant of Chaos Demon God or so. Kishin Douji got the power from Minghe. Well, fiends, Chaos Demon Gods, Minghe, Devil, and Kishin Douji probably wanted to overthrow Pangu, but Pangu played them in their own games to find their true backers. Most Chaos Demon Gods were hunted down this way throughout the years. During the 25 million loops, I estimate that he should have killed at least a thousand Chaos Demon Gods in Chaos Realm while every sage was distracted by the chess game of Heavenly Dao."

"So, in short, without Pangu's permission, all time-traveling is impossible and everything so far is Pangu's work?"

"Yes. That's why not many sages have mastered the time domain since they are afraid of Pangu's authority. Only a few marinated pawns like Devil, Miaomiao, Kishin Douji, and Xie Tian can mess around with Chrono Element Providence without being killed by Pangu."

The more Adam listened, the more anger he felt toward Pangu. This dictator had everything in his palm.

"What if Pangu wants to travel through time and space?"

Fuxi shrugged, "I don't know. I haven't seen him doing it."

"Huh? I thought you knew more about him."

"We need to ask Hongjun instead. He's the closest guy to Pangu, so he should know about Pangu's true motive."

"…"

RUMBLE

While Adam and Fuxi were gossiping about Pangu, the altar shone again.

Orochi stood up and smirked. He looked up and flipped a middle finger to the sky. He shouted.

"Without a sage's interference, I have mastered the Law of Chrono Providence! Just you wait, Pangu! I'll drag you down and chop you to a thousand pieces!"

Orochi laughed as he activated the power of Chrono Providence, accelerating the building's cooldown timer.

However, as soon as he used the power to accelerate time, he vomited a fountain of purple blood. He collapsed on the altar and widened his eyes in shock.

Miaomiao and Nuwa rushed to Orochi's side to heal him. However, Orochi's face was pale as if he had suffered from the backlash of a dangerous technique.

Fuxi and Adam narrowed their eyes. They glanced at each other.

Adam was still in disbelief, "So, did Pangu reject his skill just now?"

"Probably."

"You don't know anything at all, do you?"

"What can I say? I'm only a sage. I'm not as omnipotent as a Great Dao Sage. Maybe, you should ask Tlaloc about it."

Fuxi and Adam gazed at Tlaloc, who had been observing the event from the sky while stabilizing his cultivation base.

Tlaloc turned to Fuxi and Adam. He had heard their conversation, and he responded with a voice transmission.

'You both were right. Pangu can shut down any providence law on a whim. All Providence Qi is under his control, and he can do whatever he wants with the cultivators with any type of Providence Qi.'

Fuxi and Adam widened their eyes in shock.

'Then, he could simply kill us all with a thought?'

'Yes and no.'

'What do you mean?'

'Well, in the past, Pangu reigned supreme. But now, we're in luck. Because Lord Mu-Nyang has recovered his strength, Pangu's authority is kept in check. If Pangu kills everyone in the Chaos Realm, Mu-Nyang can also easily kill Pangu's subordinates in the Primordial Chaos Realm.'

Adam nodded as he got the big picture, 'So, are we like in the cold war? We have two superpower countries pointing nuclear warheads at each other.'

'If we use a mortal world's earth as a comparison, well, yes. Something like that.'

'But why haven't they started killing yet? What stopping them? They could have nuked each other by now, judging from their supreme power, temperament, and authorities.'

Tlaloc shoved his hand into his chest and pulled out a shiny red gem, which was pulsing like a human heart.

'Remember this?'

Fuxi dropped his jaw while Adam bit his lower lips. They knew what it was.

Karmic Soul!

However, it gave a different vibe. It looked similar to something else.

It had the color of Entity Ore!

At the same time, it generated strange noises, which sounded like system bells whenever it pulsed.

'No matter how powerful Pangu is, he lacks something that all Chaos Demon Gods and Chaos Seraphims have – THE SYSTEM!'

Tlaloc gazed at Miaomiao.

'First, Pangu doesn't own the systems. Mu-Nyang does. Second, Pangu cannot produce Entity Ore or Karmic Soul, but Mu-Nyang can. And lastly, skills, abilities, cultivation techniques, Providence, Law, and the nature of Heavenly Dao were generated by Mu-Nyang's systems. It was the thief, Pangu, who stole everything from Mu-Nyang and claimed it as his own!'

'What?!'

Tlaloc laughed, 'When you learn about war history, you must learn from both sides. After all, winners get to rewrite the history however they want, and they might hide something from you. The losers are the ones with sensitive information that nobody knows. What authority? What power? Everything Pangu has been using is imitations of the system skills. And now, Mu-Nyang is taking them back.'

Fuxi took a deep breath. Then, he gazed at Miaomiao, who had completely healed Orochi while he gazed at a system panel in confusion. The guy didn't seem to be proficient at his ability, but Orochi was nurtured back to health.

For a brief moment, Fuxi noticed an aura on Miaomiao's stopwatch. It was a faint silhouette of another cat that was not Mir, who had been lazily resting on his shoulder!

Although it only appeared within a split second, Fuxi was sure that Mu-Nyang had done something to Miaomiao's system or stopwatch again to instantly heal Orochi.

This was the true authority! Everything was moving in favor of Mu-Nyang's side!

Fuxi was proud of his decision now. He was sure that he had joined the right faction!
