Walking The Jiang Hu

Chapter 16 - Where am I?

"Ren Yi! Why did you have to go? I would rather kill myself for you to not die!", Said the blue soul in remorse.

"Where am I?", questioned the blue soul.

This blue soul was actually sitting in the rib cage of a skeleton that was sitting in the arms of multiple herbs.

Making this place seem like the place of fairies.

The soul floated around and investigated around itself.

The grass around it was very tall and seemed to be a colossal wall blocking anybody from coming.

The soul then flew up but couldn't as it had very little energy.

Powerless is all the soul felt.

Why couldn't it just get over that insurmountable wall. He wanted to see, what it was like.

He couldn't find a way out either way.

The blue soul just sat there in a lost expression. The soul didn't have a face but you could still understand it. It had this familiar feeling of similarity . It was human-like you could say.

The blue soul had nothing to do.

The blue soul looked at around and could see the skeleton it was in.

It felt as if it had seen it somewhere before.

"This is my skeleton!", gasped the soul while bouncing on the ground.

The skeleton had the exact same dimension and had the same runes he had enchanted onto it.

His soul lost color as he inspected it even further.

"That damn wolf!", said the soul in fury while gesturing.

This blue soul was actually the big man who was next to the beauty at the banquet.

Or should we say the brutal massacre.

Just the thought of him s.u.c.k.i.n.g out the blood of their bodies using his aura wasn't nice.

He didn't want to think of it.

Ren Yi had died from the hands of that aura attainment demon beast.

But his soul was still here.

If he didn't get a body soon then he would die out.

However he had the skeleton here.

If he could go into the skeleton and suck the power from these herbs and take back his skeleton then he could possibly survive!

But what questioned him the most was how he had survived so long.

He could see that it had been a few hundred years without a body for him.

Furthermore , how did he survive from that wolf?

Had a part of his soul been in the skeleton when he had supposedly "died!"

What was this!

No one could survive this long without having an actual functioning body!

However when he was thinking he realized something.

Why had he awakened just now?

Was it the effects of the herbs?

Was it because his soul was to weak to have consciousness until now?

That must be so!

But he had finally come to a decision.

He was going to take revenge on that wolf for murdering his wife!

Although it sounded cliche to him but it was really just what he wanted to do.

He just wanted pure revenge.

However she might be still alive but that's very unlikely.

It was because of her in countless situations that he had survived.

Sometimes he would be outsmarted by the enemy but she always had his back.

He felt like he could always depend on her.

But now she's gone.

It's because of himself.

Once he thought about it he laughed.

A grown man couldn't protect the woman he loved.

He was weak and cowardly.

No one would love him if he couldn't protect a woman.

This realization came to him fast but it washed away soon after.

~chirp! chirp! chirp!

Nothing had happened for quite a bit.

It had just been him s.u.c.k.i.n.g the power from his herbs.

But he was so weak he couldn't do that.

Plus he couldn't even move that much.

He truly felt homeless at this time.

"Huh what's this?", asked an unknown voice deep within the bushes.

The blue soul turned around and then saw a boy standing there looking at him.

The boy had a white and blue robe with disheveled hair and a beautiful face.

If only this boy had the time to comb his hair then he might be a big shot with the ladies like he was.

This boy was very uncivilized but the blue soul could feel a powerful force deep down within him.

The soul inspected further at the boy's robe and could see traces of qi leaking out his body reaching all around him.

The blue soul was surprised at his entrance and turned to look at the boy.

"Who are you?", asked the boy with a slight expression of curiosity.

The boy immediately could be seen wielding a ball of fire in his hand.

This ball of fire was being thrown in between his hands like a ball.

The blue soul had no face to express how it felt so the boy couldn't see anything wrong with it.

"I know that you're a soul so you definitely consciousness, am i right?", guessed the boy as squatting down next to him.

The blue soul just looked at the boy in surprise even though it didn't have a face.

"What is my name?", asked the soul.

"You don't need to know just yet. How about Fan Kang?"

"How rebellious. Now! What am i supposed to do with you.", thought the boy while putting his hand on his chin.

"Before we do anything else can i ask what is your name?", asked the soul.

"Yip An!", he said while holding a big grin.
