A Case of Big Sister and Little Sister

What should I do about my date with Iris-san?

If I tell Alice, she’ll say she’ll come with me. But the date was promised to be just the two of us. If that’s the case, I’ll have to go without telling Alice, but I don’t want to do that.

I can’t lie to her, I can’t do that.

Then I have to tell Alice, but then I will break my promise to Iris-san.

I couldn’t find an answer to what I should do, and the time just passed by.

Then the day of my date with Iris-san arrived.

There was no time left. I had no choice but to turn down the date with Iris-san.

Because I can never just lie to Alice.

“Onee-chan.”

I should call Iris-san to say no. That’s what I thought, and as I picked up my phone, Alice came into the room.

“I’m going out for a bit.”

Said Alice with her arms crossed, looking unhappy.

You’re going out? By yourself?

And there, I noticed that Alice is strangely dressed up.

“I got a call from some idiot.”

Then she showed me a piece of paper.

She showed me a piece of paper with the words “Letter of Fulfillment” written on it.

“It said, ‘Before fighting, you have to eat first, then take a break while watching a popular romantic movie because fighting after eating is bad for your health, then take a walk in the park as a preparation exercise, and then fight.’”

Looking grumpy but with just a hint of color in her cheeks, Alice explained the contents of the fulfillment letter.

We’re going to have dinner together, watch a romantic movie together, and take a walk in the park together, that’s an invitation for a date.

“That fool is so naive. If she wants to play with me, why won’t she just say so?”

Alice is mumbling with her lips pursed, but she seems to realize that the letter is an invitation to go on a date. And she doesn’t seem to be complacent.

However, I can’t believe that Yurizono-san asked Alice out on a date on the day of my date with Iris-san.

This is definitely not a coincidence.

Is this a plan to separate me and Alice?

But I don’t think Iris-san would ask Yurizono-san to do that, so I guess it’s her idea of a plan.

Or is it a strategy in the first place?

Since Iris-san was going on a date with me, I didn’t want to go on a date myself, so I might have just asked Alice out.

Yurizono-san likes me a lot, but she’s always messing with Alice. And no matter how much Alice beats her up, she doesn’t fight back.

What can I say, I think Yurizono-san likes Alice a lot.

“I’ll be back in a bit.”

Then Alice went out of the room.

It’s good to be friends with Yurizono-san, but I wonder if it’s safe to leave those two alone.

To be honest, I’m worried.

Alice didn’t have much experience with guys wooing her when I was a guy, but this Alice seems to be the same, and I’m not sure if I can handle it if a guy wooed me.

It’s not like I’m the only one with you, Yurizono-san.

I can’t help but feel like I’m stirring up the guy who came on to me and making the situation worse.

I’m not sure if I should turn down the date with Iris-san after all and go after Alice.

As I was thinking that, my phone rang.

I checked it and saw that it was an incoming call from Iris-san.

My date with Iris-san was rescheduled.

『It seems that our Arisu-chan has asked your Alice-san out on a date.』

Iris-san said that in a troubled voice.

I heard that Iris-san told Yurizono-san about her date with me. When Yurizono-san heard this, she seemed to say that she would challenge Minazuki’s sister to a fight.

I think it’s more like a date.

In short, it’s exactly what I expected.

Anyway, Iris-san said that there was something wrong with Yurizono-san.

She seems strangely confident, or maybe she’s losing her ability to make calm decisions.

Iris-san said she was worried anyway.

I was worried about Alice, too, and Iris and I agreed that we should watch over them from the shadows.

In other words, tailing them.

Even though she is my twin sister, I don’t think I should get involved in her personal life.

But what if something were to happen?

There are plenty of outrageous men in this world who prey on women.

That’s why I decided to follow Alice and Yurizono-san with Iris-san.

I hurriedly left the house and headed to the station where I was to meet Iris-san.

The two of them met at the station and took the train, so it was difficult to follow them by car.

I was glad that Iris-san seemed to have a good grasp of Yurizono-san date course.

When I arrived at the station, Iris-san was already waiting for me.

She was wearing the same pure white dress as when we first met.

It was simple, but it made Iris-san’s exceptional beauty stand out.

All the people passing by seemed to be aware of her, but there was a space around her.

I think she is too beautiful to be approached.

“Iris-san!”

I ran up to Iris-san, raising my voice.

“Oh, Amane-san!”

Iris-san, who had noticed me and had a big smile on her face, came running towards me.

“Ahh!”

Perhaps because she was in a hurry, Iris-san fell.

Fortunately, I was able to run right up to her and hold her in my arms.

“T-Thank you so much!”

Iris-san clung to me and thanked me apologetically.

“You’ve changed, Iris-san.”

I muttered to myself as I made her stand up.

“What?”

She tilted her head curiously.

I don’t think she realizes it herself.

“It’s nothing.”

When I said that and smiled, Iris-san scowled.

When I first met Iris-san, she was quick to apologize.

Even when Yurizono-san asked her not to apologize, she still did.

But after coming back from the camp, Iris-san stopped apologizing.

I think that’s a very good change.

And if she is not aware of it, it would be better not to tell her.

Because if you do, she might become aware of it.

“Amane-san, what do you mean I’ve changed?”

I said it was nothing, but Iris-san butted in.

I’m sure I’ll get into even more trouble if I cover it up.

Then――.

“I’ve thought you were beautiful since the first time I met you, but you seem to have gotten more beautiful.”

When I said that, Iris-san face instantly turned bright red.

I didn’t say anything false. The beautiful Iris has indeed become even more beautiful.

“Oh my God, Amane-san!”

She raised her voice with a fiery red face and slapped me on the arm.

Unlike Yurizono-san, Iris-san has a calm atmosphere, but the way she was hitting my arm, she looked just like Yurizono-san, and I knew we were sisters.

“Iris-san, do you know what time the train leaves for the two of them?”

When I asked her that question with a furtive glance, she huffed and pulled out a notebook-like object from her pochette, which she was wearing diagonally across her shoulder. Then she flipped through the pages.

“The train will be leaving in about five minutes!”

“Well, we’d better hurry then!”

“Yes, you’re right!”

After exchanging conversation with Iris-san, we nodded to each other and ran toward the ticket gate.

“Ah!”

As soon as I heard the voice, I quickly reached out my hand. Held Iris-san, who was about to fall.

“T-Thank you so much.”

She clung to me and thanked me.

“Don’t worry about it.”

As I replied to Iris-san, I smiled inwardly at myself as I realized that she had mocked me before I could even think about it.

“Yes, let’s hurry up!”

I grabbed Iris-san’s hand as she tried to run off again.

“What?”

I’m not sure if she was surprised by me grabbing her hand, but she turned around.

“I’m worried about the two of them, but I can’t have you getting hurt, Iris-san.”

I grabbed her hand and held it tightly.

“Yes, yes. I’ll be careful.”

She grabbed my hand back and leaned her head on my shoulder.

No, it’s good to be careful, but we also need to hurry.

“Come on, let’s go!”

I shouted and ran off, pulling Iris-san hand.

“I-I-I understand, onee-chan! Iris will hurry!”

Raising her voice, Iris-san ran off with my hand in hers.

I definitely can’t say it out loud, but I’m starting to feel like it’s easier for me to be alone.
