The Importance of Looking Out for Your Sister's Good Mood

Just when I thought we were going to get into a tussle over the panel, it’s easily resolved.

“The panel will be returned to Yurizono Arisu.”

At the president’s words, Alice made a disapproving face but didn’t say anything.

The panel was brought by Yurizono-san in the first place.

If they said they would return it to the owner, there was nothing she could say.

“Aha!”

Yurizono-san smiled happily.

I’m glad, I’m really glad. I was really worried about what I would do if they took the panel home.

“I have a favor to ask you, Yurizono-san.”

“A favor?”

Yurizono-san tilted her head at the president’s words.

“I’d like to ask you to make life-size panels of Minazuki Amane and the two most beautiful girls for the cultural festival.”

The president’s words made me want to hold my head in my hands.

I thought she had let go of the panel, and now she was going to ask Yurizono-san to make new panels.

And it was for the cultural festival…

――Is the chairman planning to use our panel as a panda to attract customers?

“Oh!”

I couldn’t help but raise my voice.

If there was one of the customers who came to see us as pandas.

“Hmm, looks like Amane-chan has noticed.”

The president, smiling happily, stood up after saying that.

“I’ve already informed all the chairman that the commotion caused by Yurizono-san is a self-initiated act by Minazuki Amane and the student council. And its purpose.”

At the president’s words, the female students who were sitting on the pipe chairs stood up at once.

The chairman of the public health committee, the chairman of the library committee, and the chairman of the health committee.

“We’ll team up with Minazuki Amane and bring Takanashi Rinka into the student council as a candidate for the next student council president. Most of the committee chairman immediately agreed with that idea.”

Having said that, the president glanced at the chairman of the public morals committee.

The chairman of the public morals committee glanced at me and let out a sigh of relief.

Is the chairman of the public morals committee opposed to the plan to bring Takanashi-san into the student council?

“I was hoping that Takanashi Rinka would join the public morals committee, but I guess we have no choice. I agree with the president’s idea.”

The chairman of the public morals committee said this with a sigh, then looked at the president and smiled.

The president nodded at the smile of the chairman of the public morals committee.

The public morals committee chairman was not opposing Takanashi-san because she had doubts about her abilities, but because she wanted her to join the public morals committee?

Takanashi-san is very popular.

I’m so happy about that.

I mean, Takanashi-san looks like she’d make a good public morals officer.

I think I’d like to be corrected for my disorderly conduct by Takanashi-san.

Anyway――.

“Thank you, Public Morals Committee Chairman.”

I stood up and bowed my head as I thanked the chairman of the Public Morals Committee.

“Ah, no, everyone immediately agreed with the president except me. I was just annoying everyone by being wasteful, so I didn’t need to be thanked for――”

“That’s not what I meant.”

“What?”

The chairman of the Public Morals Committee tilted her head at my words.

“Thank you for thinking so highly of Takanashi-san.”

I bowed my head again.

“Oh, no, not like that…”

The chairman of the Public Morals Committee scratches her cheek with her finger, her ears turn bright red.

“The chairman of the library committee and the chairman of the health committee, thank you for agreeing so quickly.”

I continued to thank the chairman of the library committee and health committee.

The library committee chairman bowed repeatedly with embarrassed cheeks, while the health committee chair smiled and waved at me.

I’ll have to thank the boys’ chairmen later, too.

“Well, what do you think? This is Minazuki Amane.”

The president raises her voice triumphantly.

“That’s right. As the president said, Amane-san is not suited to be the student council president.”

The chairman of the health committee smiles and raises her voice. The chairman of the library committee nodded her head repeatedly as she listened.

Just like the President said?

I thought so and looked at the president.

“When she found out that Takanashi-san was held in high esteem, she was as happy as if it were her own and thanked everyone. Carrying such a person as Amane-san up as a mikoshi (portable shrine) would surely not go well.”

The president nodded at the health committee chairman’s words.

“Until we talked about Takanashi-san, many people believed that Amane-san should be the candidate for the next student council president. But I was opposed to that idea. I repeatedly explained to them that Minazuki Amane is not the type of person who shines by standing above others, but the type of person who shows her true worth by supporting others.”

Oh, I didn’t know that. I guess a lot of people thought I should be the next student council president. But the president was against it.

Thank God. I don’t have the personality to be able to stand above others, nor do I have the ability to do so.

“I’ve known that from the beginning. Onee-chan is best when she’s thinking about someone else. Such onee-chan is most beautiful and cute when she’s loving on me. Because onee-chan loves me more than anything in the world.”

Alice snorted proudly, as she spoke.

The president and the chairman of the health committee were giggling as they listened to Alice’s story. The library chairman’s ears turned red and she nodded her head over and over again.

You can’t say such embarrassing things like that without sounding like a fool.

“Ouch!”

Alice frowned in pain, while Yurizono-san turned her face away and puffed out her cheeks.

“Why are you pinching my thighs!”

Alice shouted angrily at Yurizono-san.

Apparently, Yurizono-san pinched Alice’s thighs.

“I don’t know. I’m sure the demon thigh pinchers have appeared.”

Yurizono-san, looking away, insists that the culprit is the demon thigh pinchers.

“What? Are you stupid?”

Alice makes a dumbfounded face at Yurizono-san, who is making childish excuses.

You don’t get it, Alice? Yurizono-san wants to be taken care of by you.

I stroked Alice and Yurizono-san’s heads, feeling relieved.

Alice, who had been dumbfounded by Yurizono-san, instantly changed her mood when I stroked her head, and she smiled happily.

Yurizono-san, on the other hand, glanced at me with her cheeks dyed in embarrassment.

It’s okay, Yurizono-san. I’m not going to say anything unnecessary to Alice.

“Wonderfull. I knew these three would be wonderful…”

The president muttered with a straight face while turning bright red.

“I see white lilies blooming behind the three of them.”

The chairman of the health committee said, and the chairman of the book committee nods her head repeatedly.

“I love it.”

And the chairman of the public health committee muttered in a cool way.

『What are they talking about inside?』

『It seems that white lilies are blooming behind Amane-san and Double Alice.』

『White Lilies… does that mean three of them are making out?』

『I’m sure it’s all lovey-dovey and sweet.』

『I want to see it!』

『Then why don’t you go inside and take a look? However, there is a panel of the three of them in swimsuits inside, so Oyama-san will be furious if you go inside.』

『Oyama looks scary when he’s angry. I’ve never seen him angry though.』

『Hey Oyama, don’t turn red, come here. At least hear their voice.』

『Oyama-san is a hard man, you know. But people like him can be mushy.』

『Hey, vice president, I think highly of you, but sometimes I feel like punching you.』

There are several men’s voices coming from outside the door.

It seems to be the vice president and his team, they might be putting their ears to the door to find out what’s going on inside.

“We’re getting off track here, let me get back to the point. I’d like to ask Yurizono-san to make a panel…”

The president’s smile disappeared and she raised her voice.

“I would like to use the life-size panels of Amane-san and Double Alice as navigators for this year’s cultural festival. We’ll have them set up at key locations to act as signposts for guidance.”

Hearing the chairman’s words, Yurizono-san, who had crossed her arms in a pompous manner, sniffed with pride.

“That’s a piece of cake. I’ll make you the best panel I can.”

“I don’t want it to be easy.”

“Eh?”

Yurizono-san tilted her head at the president’s words.

“Yurizono-san, you will be the chairman of the festival committee. The vice-chairman will be Amane-san, and Alice-san will be your assistant.”

“What? Chairman of the Executive Committee? Me?”

Yurizono-san heard the president’s words, asked back with a surprised look on her face.

“Being the chairman of the executive committee of the festival is your punishment for this commotion. Of course, I’m not saying it’s a punishment, but it’s a front. As for making the panels, I don’t want it to be a piece of cake. It’s a lot of work, so we have to get help from other students. I’ll leave it up to Yurizono-san, the chairman of the organizing committee, to decide who to ask for help.”

“I see, I see. That’s how it is.”

Yurizono-san, who seemed to understand the president’s intentions, nodded.

As expected of the president, she was planning to catch Takanashi-san by pretending to use the panel as a panda to attract customers.

As a punishment, Yurizono-san will be appointed as the chairman of the executive committee for the cultural festival, and she will create the panels for the festival.

But it’s going to be a lot of work, so she’s going to have to get help from someone.

Moreover, the panels to be made are Alice’s, Yurizono-san, and mine. Then there is a very good chance that they will help us. In fact, I’m sure they will help.

“It’s a strategy to get them interested in the student council by getting them involved in helping out on the committee for the festival.”

When I say that, she nodded.

“As well as getting people interested, this festival will be something special. After all, Minazuki Amane and Double Alice are going to be our navigators. I’m sure that the festival will be more exciting than ever before. And if we can close the festival with great success, Takanashi-san and the others will feel a great sense of accomplishment.”

I clench my hands at the words of the president.

A feeling of excitement welled up from the bottom of my heart.

To be honest, I was embarrassed to be a navigator, but it was a small price to pay if I could get Takanashi-san and the others involved.

More than that, I was looking forward to working with Takanashi-san and the others towards a great goal.

If, as the president said, the event ends up being a great success, it will surely be a memory that will last a lifetime.

“Let’s do it, President!”

When I said to the president, she nodded and looked at Alice. The chairman of the public morals committee, the chairman of the health committee, and the chairman of the library committee also looked at Alice.

The president and committee chairman stared at her. Alice let out a sigh with a glazed look in her eyes.

“I don’t like the idea of making a spectacle of onee-chan, even if it’s a panel, but since onee-chan so determined, I’ll give you special permission. It’s a special case, you know.”

When the president heard Alice’s words, she smiled as if relieved.

The committee chairman also smiled and nodded at each other.

They seemed to be more nervous about getting Alice’s consent than mine.

Well, if Alice insisted that she didn’t want to do it, I’d probably give priority to her will.

Maybe the president knew that.

So, from the president’s point of view, if you want to shoot the general, shoot the horse first, and I think she succeeded in shooting the horse.

Alice is not a horse, though, she’s a little selfish but a very pretty princess.

And so the discussion ended successfully, although I wondered at one point what would happen with the panel issue.

When I walked out of the student council room, the vice president and the other male committee chairman were lined up against the wall in the hallway.

Their faces were red.

It seems they were eavesdropping on the conversation inside the student council room, but they didn’t do anything strange.

“I heard from the president that you all agreed to this matter right away. Thank you very much.”

I bowed my head, thanking the male chairman for their support.

“I’d like to thank you. The President had been in admiration of Takanashi-san for a long time. She said that she’s the type of person who shines when she stands above others. That’s why it’s a blessing in disguise for us to have the cooperation of Amane-san and the others.”

The vice president speaks while raising his glasses with his finger.

The men’s committee chairman nods in agreement with the vice president’s words.

And there, Alice stood in front of the vice president.

She crosses her arms and looks up at the vice president with an air of authority.

The Vice President raises her glasses with his fingers in a hurry.

“Don’t get too carried away just because of onee-chan smiles at you.”

“I-I’ll keep that in mind.”

The vice president responded to Alice’s words with a bow.

“But you’re just fine. And that big guy over there.”

Alice snorted, approached me, and hugged me tightly in my arm.

Fufu, you tsundere.

“Hey there, glasses and big guy, it looks like you guys have been liked by Mirisu. Cry for joy.”

Yurizono-san, who had blood vessels rising to her temples, raised her voice as she glared at the vice president and Oyama-senpai.

“I-I’m sorry.”

“S-Same on the right.”

The vice president and Oyama-senpai bowed to Yurizono-san, who said this with a pale face.

Yurizono-san is unusually angry.

Yurizono-san really loves Alice, doesn’t she?

“Arisu-chan, come here.”

When I said that to Yurizono-san, her eyes watered and she ran up to me and hugged me tightly in her arms. And then she glanced at Alice.

She seemed unconcerned that Alice approached a male student.

Hmm, cute.

I want to explain to the vice president and Oyama-senpai, who are scared because of Yurizono-san, that the two of them are very close friends, but if I do that, I’m sure Alice will get angry.

I’ll have to explain to the two pale and downcast people later.

With that in mind, I bowed to them and left the student council room with Alice and Yurizono-san.
