Where You Are

Chapter 10 - Don't get used to this

"What is that smell?" Min-Joon asks. After a few seconds he asked louder and with more worry in his tone "What is that smell?!"

Min-Joon came into the kitchen but I could hardly see him. The smoke was too thick. Moving the kitchen towel around didn't seem to get rid of the smoke. I think I actually saw more. Suddenly the frying pan caught on fire. Min-Joon and I jumped back, scared. He ran to grab it and throw it in the sink. Then he open the windows. I tried to help him, by opening the ones in the dining room.

The smoke started to clear up. Thank goodness the fire alarm didn't go off.

"Hannah!" Min-Joon's scream startled me "What the hell were you doing?!"

"Cooking" I said, forcing a chuckle.

"You could have burned my house down!" he said.

"You should have asked me if I knew how to cook" I said.

"Are you saying this is my fault?" Min-Joon looked angry and shocked that I was saying it was his fault. No, I can't have him angry with me!

"Why don't we just eat out?" I suggested. He stared at me with wide eyes, a bit pissed off. The thought of Yu-Na during the last episode, drinking and pouring her heart out to Tae-Woo came crossed my mind. Maybe if we go there we could bump into her "How about chicken and beer?" I say pointing at him, a smile on my face.

"How do you know about chicken and beer?" he asks. I place my hands on his back and push him towards the door.

"Really? Your wondering how I know chicken goes well with beer but didn't think twice about making a girl with amnesia cook for you?" I say with raised eyebrows. He looks away, gets his jacket from behind the door and exits the house. I guess that's the closest I'll get to a 'you're right.'

Outside Min-Joon tells me "Don't get used to this. I haven't forgotten that you almost burned my house down" he just has to have the last word, doesn't he? I nod. He makes his way to the car, but I grab onto his arm. In situations like these it's better if he walks or takes the bus. A chance encounter could occur.

"Let's take the bus!" I say.

"The bus?"

"Don't tell me you've never taken the bus before" I say shocked. This is something they never addressed during the drama. It would have been very cute and funny if Yu-Na was the one that found this out rather than me.

"Why are you so shocked? You don't even remember riding a bus" Min-Joon says. A smile forming on his face.

"But it's a bus. Every normal person has ridden a bus" I say. His smile is contagious "Come on, where's your sense of adventure?"

"Riding the bus is not an adventure, it's stupid" his face is back to making that overly arrogant expression. Does he think he's beating me at this argument?

"Fine, then we'll just go back inside, and I'll make dinner" I say. I turn around, but he takes my arm and pulls me back.

"Alright. The bus it is" he says.

I smile.
