Where You Are

About 8 hours earlier

My day started out like any other. It was getting cold outside, so it was that time of year where it gets hard for me to get out of bed and choose clothes because its freaking cold, but by the afternoon it's warm.

I decide to wear a white shirt today and a stretchy long sleeved, pink sweater that says LOVE, over it. I also put on black leggings under a flower patter, cream-colored skirt and light brown boots.

As always, I left my hair messy. It's a bizarre type of combination between curly and straight so it doesn't even matter if I comb it, it will still look like a mess. Sometimes I think my hair is going through an identity crisis. As for my facial features, I don't think I'm hideous. I have big brown eyes, a small nose, plump lips. I have relatively normal features, I don't look like a model from Victoria's Secret, but I don't think I'm ugly. I'm average.

Downstairs my parents and older brother are already eating breakfast, at the dining table, without me. Oh, and by older brother I mean to say he was born 10 minutes before me.

"Good morning honey" dad said to me.

"Good morning" I replied.

I look at the table and my plate, was already made. It had eggs, bacon and pancakes. There was also a small bowl of fruits and a glass of milk.

"All ready for school?" mom asked. I nodded.

"What about the test? Did you study?" my brother asked.

"Unlike you, yes" he threw a gr.a.p.e at my face, but I caught it with my mouth. We both go to the same University but study different things. He studies Engineering, while I study Biology. Yet we are taking the same math class. Although we get along relatively well at home, we hardly talk outside. He's the popular type while I'm more of a recluse. While half of the people there are his friends, I only have one.

During breakfast all of us talked and laughed. My brother checked his watch and said it was time for us to go. We picked up our stuff but before we left, our mother handed us our lunch bags.

"See you later" she says and kissed us both on the forehead.

During the drive to the university we quizzed each other to know how prepared we were for the exam. He gave me a formula, I would tell him in what equations they are used and vice versa.

When we arrive, we say goodbye to each other and head our separate ways.

Suddenly I hear someone yell my brother's name "Henry!" I stop in my tracks. I turn around and it's none other than Noah. He's the typical blonde hair, blue eyed American boy. They've been best friends since elementary school. I only ever saw him as my brother's best friend but during middle school I started to see him in a different light. He's kind, attractive, smart, funny. But a lot of girls saw that too.

He was never single for long and when he was, I never took the chance. He's my brother's friend, it feels like there's a kind of line between us that I can't cross.

Noah turns his head and looks at me "Is that Hannah?" he yells to me. I end up walking back and we hug "I haven't seen you in a while. The times I've come over I never see you. Where have you been?"

"In her bedroom. She spends all her free time watching Korean dramas" Henry says, messing my hair "That's why you don't have many friends"

"Shut up!" I w.h.i.n.e as I push Henry. Noah laughs at us.

"You two are as close as ever" Noah says.

"It's because I love her, right?" Henry says to me as he puts me in a choke hold "You know your big brother loves you, right?"

"You jerk, let me go!" I yell. He laughs at me.

"Hannah!"

My brother lets me go and we all turn our heads to see none other than D.e.s.i.r.ee. Just like Henry and Noah, she and I have been friends since elementary school. She has black hair, in a bob cut, dark eyes and pale skin. She always wears cute skirts and hats, she also wears make-up. When we were kids she wanted nothing to do with make-up saying it was a waste of time and energy, she also dressed like a tomboy. Once we got to University she became a totally different person and even made friends and she also lives on her own. She's pretty good at a.d.u.l.ting. I mean, compared to her I'm a mess. It sometimes surprises me that we are still friends.

"Hey Desi" I say. We hug, and she says hello to the boys. She used to have a crush on my brother when we were in middle school but once he became popular and started to have a bunch of girls flocking over him she lost interest. She told me she'd rather have a loser boyfriend than a flirt.

"You heading to class?" Noah asked her. She nodded.

"Let's go Hannah or we'll be late for class" D.e.s.i.r.ee took my arm and we walked away without a single word of goodbye. I waved at the boys and they waved back.

"Did you see the new episode?" D.e.s.i.r.ee asked me. With a smile, I nodded.

"I don't know whether to ship Yu-Na with Min-Joon or Tae-Woo" I say

"Let me help you" D.e.s.i.r.ee says "Min-Joon is the heir to one of the biggest conglomerates in Korea. That means he's rich, but he also comes with a lot of baggage such as his pain in the a.s.s grandma, his asshole of an uncle that's trying to sabotage his rise to the CEO's seat, so his bratty son Se-Jin, can take it for himself. Oh, and let's not forget Ae-Ra, the childhood friend and closet bitch who wants to marry Min-Joon at all costs. Then we have Tae-Woo, who is sweet, a cop that stands for justice, knows just what to say and he's there when Yu-Na needs him" D.e.s.i.r.ee pauses "Now I ask you Hannah. Who is better?"

"You just want me to choose Tae-Woo" I say with a smile.

"Of course! Tae-Woo has shown he's the alpha male when it comes to who knows Yu-Na best" D.e.s.i.r.ee says. I can't help but nod.

"But it's obvious she'll end up with Min-Joon" I say "the female lead always ends with the one who needs her the most. Yu-Na and Tae-Woo are very similar and would make a great couple but just imagine Min-Joon alone" I say. D.e.s.i.r.ee places her hand under her chin and looks up. She later nods.

"Well, whoever she ends up with. I just hope Ae-Ra moves away and never comes back. Always trying to sabotage Yu-Na and Min-Joon's relationship from developing" D.e.s.i.r.ee says.

"Yeah, isn't it a bit weird. The main couple usually have a moment where they're about to kiss, which usually happens by episode 6 if they haven't kissed already, but this is ridiculous" I say remembering everything that's happened so far.

"What episode are we at right now?" D.e.s.i.r.ee asks me.

"Episode 11 will be out this afternoon" I say with a solemn look on my face.

"How are the writers going to close all those plot holes in 5 episodes? They still haven't found out that Min-Joon's parents were actually murdered."

"Actually, I think it'll last 20 episodes, but yeah that worries me too" I say. We arrive in front of my classroom and we say our goodbyes.

The day goes by as usual. I take my classes, don't make eye contact with anyone and when it's time for lunch I find a spot to sit down and eat. I check my computer and see that episode 11 of the k-drama "Where you are" is finally out.

As I watch the episode a lot of things happen.

Yu-Na and Min-Joon get into an argument because she wants to know more about him, but he tells her that an outsider could never understand. She runs off and when she's outside she lets out a few tears.

Min-Joon bumps into Ae-Ra outside and they start talking. Yu-Na hides behind some bushes.

Ae-Ra tells Min-Joon that she's liked him for a long time. He doesn't answer.

"Is it because of Park Yu-Na?" Ae-Ra asks him. Min-Joon looks at her confused "I see the way you look at her. Are you in love with her?"

Oh, my goodness. Is this the episode where he gives in to his feelings? And Yu-Na is right there, if he confesses and she hears his feelings, it's going to be wonderful.

"You might love her but are you sure she loves you? Are you sure she's not using you?"

"We're not like that. Besides, I can't love anyone" he says placing his hand on her cheek, then walks away.

Tae-Woo while walking home, sees Yu-Na drinking soju in one of those orange tents and he joins her. Yu-Na tells him to never fall in love with someone who refuses to love him back.

"I think I already have" he tells her. There's a longing look in his eyes as they both stare at each other for what feels like an eternity. She widens her eyes and I can't help doing the same. OMG, he's confessed to her! But she's drunk so maybe she won't remember.

She hiccups and takes another shot of soju. Tae-Woo laughs and tells her to stop and he'll take her home. She says she wants a piggyback ride. He chuckles and complies. When they arrive at her home, they stare at each other and he kisses her on the cheek. Although I think this is immensely cute I don't really like where this is going. I especially don't like it when the camera pans out and shows Min-Joon looking at them.

Yu-Na notices Min-Joon. She moves away from Tae-Woo "Min-Joon" she says, she tries to walk towards him, but Tae-Woo holds her back.

Min-Joon scoff's "I had no idea you were such an easy woman"

Tae-Woo lets her go and gets in front of her "Hey!" Tae-Woo yells at him. Min-Joon just turns around and walks away.

Tae-Woo turns to see Yu-Na fall to her knees in tears. He wants to comfort her but feels like his words won't do any good.

Yeah, no shit Tae-Woo! You're the one that caused this whole misunderstanding! I let out a deep sigh. What is going on? This was the episode where Min-Joon gives in to his feelings and either he or Yu-Na confesses their feelings for the other. Yu-Na should run after him, why isn't she running after him?

The next day Min-Joon is in his office. His grandmother walks in and hands him a manila folder. He opens it. He finds its full of papers and stapled on each are pictures of women. He must go on marriage dates. The pain in the a.s.s grandmother won't take no for an answer.

Dammit one of those papers holds Ae-Ra's picture.

Min-Joon's cousin, Se-Jin, is talking to his father about the car accident Min-Joon's parents were in. He asks if it really was an accident. His father stares at him with a serious look in his eyes. He says that the past should stay in the past. I knew that old man was an asshole, but I never thought he'd actually kill his own brother and sister-in-law.

Ae-Ra goes to visit Min-Joon in his office and tells him she's been thinking about what he told her last night.

She walks closer to him.

"Let's start over" she says.

What the hell is happening. She's too close to him.

Ae-Ra places her hand on Min-Joon's c.h.e.s.t "I can make you love again" she tells him.

"What the hell is this?!" I say louder than intended. She's getting closer and closer to him. She's going in for a kiss but why isn't he moving away? Where's the secretary when you need him or anyone for that matter? She's getting closer. Their lips are about to touch.

"Someone, do something!" I yell.
