Where You Are

As the day went on, during lunch I decided to visit Dae-Hyun. When I reached the lobby and the elevator doors opened I was surprised to see none other than Dae-Hyun staring right at me. He was holding two plastic bags on one hand and a tray with two cups on the other.

We smile at each other "I was about to go see you" he tells me.

"I was about to go see you" I say. Dae-Hyun's face reddens "So, would that be for me?" I ask. He looks at the bags and the drinks and he nods. I take the drinks while he keeps the bags, both of us, walking towards the studio.

While we eat, Dae-Hyun talks about the song and how he was able to get a director for the music video. The boy group had already started recording the song and found a choreographer. It hasn't even been one week yet and everything was going smoothly. Hopefully it continues this way.

"So…um…Hannah" Dae-Hyun looked at me with a childlike expression, he even scratched the back of his head, a move that all guys make in dramas when they are nervous. I wonder what he wants to ask me.

"I…um…yesterday I won this raffle in the mall where the prize was 2 tickets to the new theme park opening this Saturday. Would you…I don't know…want to come with me?" he asked. I looked at him with a blank expression, so he started to panic "You don't have to if you don't wan to! I mean, I just have no one to go with"

I didn't mean to make him panic. I just thought this was perfect. I could spy on Min-Joon and Yu-Na on their date. Maybe help them behind the scenes.

"I'd love to" I told him. A huge smile appeared on his face "Min-Joon is going with Yu-Na so it will be a great opportunity to help them get together"

Dae-Hyun looked at me confused. It was my turn to panic. How can I tell anyone that I'm trying to play cupid with my boss and another girl? It will be just weird. I'm sure Dae-Hyun is already regretting asking me to go with him.

"You want to set up the Vice-President with a girl?" Dae-Hyun asked me. I look down and nod "Do either of them know of this?" I shake my head "That's kind of bold. Messing with your boss' love life without his permission" Dae-Hyun chuckles.

"Would you like to help me?" I ask him. Dae-Hyun widens his eyes. I can tell I just made him feel uncomfortable "I mean, it'll be easier having a partner" I say but to try and put pressure on him to help me "Besides, you owe me for helping you write a song and get a boy group"

"Alright, alright. I'll help you" he said with a smile "But you have to know. I don't know anything about love and romance. I've never dated anyone before" I look at him surprised. He is attractive and his coworkers told me he has an aura that attracts people to him and although I don't really get his personality, he seems fun to be around.

"What? You don't believe me?" he asked me, his cheeks red.

"No, it's not that. I just find it a bit hard to believe" I say.

"That's the same thing as not believing me!" he said. I chuckle "What about you, have you dated anyone or like anyone?" he asked, looking away. I smile.

"I've never dated anyone, but I do like someone" I say "But he's only ever seen me as a little sister, you see, he's my brother's best friend. I've seen him go through girlfriends and I know I should give up but, when he smiles at me I just can't" Dae-Hyun looks at me with a saddened expression "Anyways, he lives pretty far away now"

I stop myself from saying anymore, realizing I've spoken too much about me real life, if he ever gets to talk with the other characters about me and brings up this conversation, I'm sure to be in trouble but I'm surprised that the truth just comes out naturally when I'm talking to him.

"What about your family?" he asks me. I look at him confused "What's your family like?" he seems pretty interested in my life all of a sudden.

"My parents are pretty nice to me, overprotective at times but they trust me. My brother and I are twins, he's just a few minutes older than me. The two of us also get along but we never hung out at school. He's the popular type and I always kept to myself" I stop. Once again I spoke without thinking.

"What about you?" I ask Dae-Hyun. I need to stop talking about myself "What's your family like?"

"I'm an only child. My dad was never in the picture. I get along pretty well with my mom's side of the family. I'm pretty much doted on, since I'm the only boy apart from my grandpa and uncle"

By what he said about his family made me want to meet them. Since we're friends, maybe I will one day. As I look at the clock, I realize lunch had already ended. I excuse myself and he tells me not to forget Saturday, handing me the ticket. I smile.

"How could I forget?" I tell him and leave.
