After Vasilia left, Thomas loosened his tie and leaned against the door, “I thought she was your girlfriend.”

Harvey put the fruit basket on the table. He unbuttoned his shirt cuffs and lowered his eyes, “You were too excited just now. It’s easy to scare her.”

Thomas smiled, “Are your neighbors getting along so well?”

Harvey sat in his chair and flipped through the paper in front of him.

Thomas sighed and took a grape from the fruit basket.

“Hey you, it’s time for you to get a girlfriend.” He tasted the grape.

“Are you done with your work?” Harvey gave him a cold stare.

“Not yet.” Thomas turned to the side and said, “I told you to find a girlfriend for a reason.”

“What reason?”

“What does it feel like to have a dedicated and effective boss? I’ve wanted to answer that for a long time. That is, you have to work harder than your boss. Even if you work hard, you will still be less efficient than him. Dear Boss, if you can get a girlfriend one day, maybe I can relax a little.” Thomas twitched his lips and said.

“The salary case of Lin Group you were in charge of was already a relief,” Harvey replied.

“If you would be so kind as to relieve my pressure, I wouldn’t have to work overtime here tonight,” Thomas said resentfully.

After those words, as if out of kindness, Harvey closed the file and said, “You can go back now.

Thomas was stunned for a second, “Hmm?”

“That’s all for tonight.” Harvey said.

The happiness came too suddenly.

Thomas could not accept it right away.

“Boss, why do you… ?”

“I have other things to do. Go home now. We’ll talk about it tomorrow.”

A minute later, Thomas was standing nervously outside the gate with a briefcase in his hand.

Now he could think of only two possibilities.

The first was that his boss would fire him.

The second was whether his boss was really in love.

Either way, it was scary enough for him.

The room was quiet again.

Harvey took off his shirt and went to the bathroom.

He had the habit of bodybuilding, so his figure management was quite good. His muscles were well proportioned and firm.

Warm water fell from the shower. The man’s dark hair was all wet. His gold-rimmed glasses were set aside, shrouded in the damp mist.

When he removed his glasses, his eyelashes were long and thick.

Water splashed onto his face.

The steam from the bathroom made him feel at ease for a moment.

His nearsightedness was not great, but he preferred to wear glasses with frames.

After all, he was a lawyer. Wearing glasses could give people a sense of justice and aloofness, which was his usual way of doing things.

Harvey looked different when he wasn’t wearing glasses.

His skin was fair, his eyes were long and slightly raised. And his thick eyelashes made him squint slightly when he couldn’t see things clearly, which was alluring.

In his first year at the law firm after graduation, Harvey did not wear glasses all the time.

But it did have some effect on his life.

Some unnecessary intercourse with women made him tired and bored.

Later, he wore gold-rimmed glasses to hide his emotions. When facing the outsiders, he showed an aloof attitude to reduce trouble.

Half an hour later, he emerged from the bathroom.

Harvey picked up his glasses and put them on.

Two messages appeared on his phone.

One was from his psychologist, Dr. Wen.

The other was from Honey Peach* ( Vasilia’s WeChat name ).

Dr. Wen: [How’s it going, Harvey?]

Harvey: [As usual.]

Dr. Wen: [I know you are not used to taking medicine, so you will have to change your lifestyle.]

Harvey: [OKay.]

The last time he went to counseling, Dr. Wen had given him some advice.

Part of his chronic insomnia was related to psychological factors, or maintaining work status for a long time and not being able to relax easily.

Dr. Wen had known him for years and was clear with  his character. She suggested with a smile, “Maybe you can try to find a comfortable status, like a relationship,” Dr. Wen said.

“Really?”

“Of course there are other options.”

“Tell me about them.”

“Do something relaxing, like taste food, listen to soothing music, go out with friends, or…” Dr. Wen paused slightly. Her eyes glittered with a mischievous light.

“What?”

“Harvey, sex can relax you too. You can try it.” Dr. Wen replied.

Harvey remained silent about her remark.

So when Dr. Wen’s message asked about his progress, he had nothing to say.

For he had no improvement in his insomnia.

He clicked on the dialog box with Honey Peach.

She sent him a message five minutes ago.

Honey Peach: [What are you doing?]

Ragin: [Just finishing my shower.]

Vasilia was lying on bed. As she read the message, she suddenly blushed.

The scene inexplicably came to her mind. Unfortunately, she didn’t know what Ragin looked like.

It was the first time she learned that a person could let others feel his charisma just by sending a text message.

Honey Peach: [Will my messages bother you?]

Honey Peach: [sighs.jpg ]

A few seconds later.

Ragin: [No.]

Honey Peach: [Really?]

She seemed happy.

Ragin: [Yeah.]

Ragin: [Talking with you is more relaxing than with ordinary friends.]

He added in case she didn’t believe him.

Honey Peach: [+1.]

Ragin: [It’s late. Sleep early.]

Honey Peach: [Will you sleep now?]

Ragin: [No, I’m reminding you. It’s time for bed.]
