Chapter 52: Sorry, My Wife Will Be Jealous

There were strict protective inspections everywhere in the Alliance. After coming to Banu Star* for more than a week, Ji Xingjue finally got a detailed map of the Chairman’s mansion after working overtime every day.

An Hong’s reputation in the Alliance was polarized. People who like him would proudly boast extravagant embellishments, full of hype, while people who didn’t like him directly form an organization to resist the Chairman of the Council.

It was said that there was a dark room under his mansion, which was specially used to hide some shady things. The Alliance was a very democratic place, which was reflected in the fact that political opponents use false information to attack, and citizens would watch it with gusto.

But his goal was just a piece of data, which should be in An Hong’s optical brain,
in the study room.

When night fell, there was a sudden knock on the door of his room.

Ji Xingjue planned several escape routes. He connected to the Star Network, trying to figure out how to do something to attract An Hong’s attention. When he heard the knock on the door, he moved his fingertips, connected to the hotel’s surveillance system, and glanced at the person by the door.

Qi Qing.

Ji Xingjue suddenly felt a headache.

When they were face to face before, he didn’t even look at Qi Qing carefully, but now through the screen, he carefully stared at Qi Qing in the picture.

The latter was keenly aware of the gaze, and looked up at the hidden monitor on the door with sharp eyes.

He knew it.

Ji Xingjue heaved a sigh resignedly, got up and went to open the door. ” Your Excellency Marshal, what’s the matter?”

Qi Qing stood there leisurely, and glanced into his room. “It’s dinner time. Seeing that Mr. Armon hasn’t gone out yet, I came to remind you.”

Ji Xingjue showed a false smile. “Oh? So the Marshal hasn’t left the hotel. I thought the Marshal would be very busy.”

Why are you so idle?

Qi Qing didn’t seem to understand what he meant, and pointed to his room sideways. “The dinner has been served, if Mr. Armon doesn’t dislike it, why don’t we have dinner together?”

Ji Xingjue rolled his eyes and smiled. “I’m afraid it’s not convenient.”

Qi Qing raised his eyelids.

Ji Xingjue said, exasperatingly slow, “Sorry, my wife will be jealous.”

Qi Qing: “…”

Qi Qing half-closed his eyes, unable to tell what his expressions were. “Then isn’t Mr. Armon curious as to how I know you didn’t go out?”

Not curious.

Ji Xingjue really wanted to answer this way, but he couldn’t, so he was politely getting curious. “Oh?”

Qi Qing returned to his door and motioned for him to follow.

Ji Xingjue hesitated for a while, but followed slowly.

Qi Qing: “Open the door.”

There shouldn’t be a group ambushing behind the door, right?

Ji Xingjue thought about it, and pushed open the door according to his words. There was nothing in front of his eyes, but he was stunned for a moment then his feet sank suddenly as he felt a familiar weight.

Ji Xingjue: “…”

Ji Xingjue slowly lowered his head, facing the bewildered little robot.

It was clearly a familiar leg, but the face was different. The little robot tilted his head, very puzzled. “…mama?”

Ji Xingjue turned his head calmly. “Your Excellency Marshal, what is this?”

What’s wrong with Qi Qing bringing this little guy with him!

Qi Qing twitched the corners of his lips: “My and my wife’s only son.”

Ji Xingjue choked for a moment, picked up the innocent little robot, and put it in his arms affectionately. “Then you should take good care of your son.”

The little robot was still very confused, looking at Ji Xingjue, then at Qiqing, then at Qi Qing, then at Ji Xingjue, having a very difficult time. “Papa… “

“I’m ashamed to say it,” Qi Qing lightly touched the little robot’s head, his face remained still, “This time I came to the Alliance, besides official business, I also wanted to find my wife. We had a little conflict, and he left in a fit of anger. He probably came to the Alliance. Has Mr. Armon seen him?”

Why am I standing here?

Ji Xingjue was very desperate: “…I don’t even know what your wife looks like.”

Qi Qing stared at his face, and said calmly, “The stature is similar to yours, there is a small red mole under his left eye, it looks good, and you can recognize it at a glance.”

He spoke slowly, his tone was calm and breezy that one couldn’t see the slightest sense of urgency to find a wife.

The little robot also nodded, “Mama looks great!”

Ji Xingjue took a step back in silence. “It’s a pity, I haven’t seen him before.”

“If Mr. Armon sees my wife, please convey my words to him for me,” Qi Qing pretended not to see him backing away, “I and the child miss him very much.”

Ji Xingjue nodded calmly, and ran away without stopping.

Seeing Ji Xingjue get into the room and slam the door, the little robot looked up. “Papa, is that Mama?”

Qi Qing withdrew his gaze, pinched its ears, and said nothing.

Ji Xingjue leaned against the door, his heart was still beating a little fast, so he took a deep breath to calm down.

Qi Qing’s all kinds of probing directly hit the center of his heart. He wasn’t unwilling to be so well-understood by a person who took advantage of his weaknesses, but he was just a little helpless.

Just as when his mood became better, there was another knock on the door outside.

No matter how good Ji Xingjue was, he couldn’t hold back his temper.

He turned around with a cold face, intending to drag Qi Qing in and beat him up as soon as he opened the door. However, when the door opened, there was a hotel waiter standing outside.

The waiter was taken aback by his cold face. “Gu, guest?”

Ji Xingjue glanced at the opposite door, the frozen icy snow melted immediately, revealing a face full of kindness. “What’s wrong?”

“The distinguished guest who lives opposite you asked me to bring you dinner,” the waiter was taken aback by his change of face, and pushed the dining cart, “and asked me to tell you that no matter what you do, you must first pay attention to your body.”

Ji Xingjue: “…What about him?”

The waiter said, “The distinguished guest has something to do and has left the hotel.”

Ji Xingjue lowered his eyes, said “um” softly, and accepted the dinner.

After eating, it was already dark. Ji Xingjue also completed preparing a small gift to attract the attention of the chairman of Council. He changed into inconspicuous clothes, left the hotel, and went to the place where the gift was prepared first.

Ordinary clothes and appearance could easily disappear in the crowd.

By the time we got back to the neighborhood of the Chairman’s house, the night had darkened quite a bit.

In the Imperial Capital, if you wanted to get close to the Palace, you had to go through a lot of searches, but the Alliance was much easier. Ji Xingjue wandered all the way to the house of the Chairman of the Council, and only encountered guards on daily patrols without any interrogation.

There were surveillance cameras near the Chairman’s house. Ji Xingjue didn’t take any action on these surveillance cameras. Taking advantage of the night, he leaned against the wall, approached the wall from a dead corner, turned over, and successfully jumped into the wall.

The place he chose was the backyard where he came in during the day. At this time, there was no one in the yard, and the light leaked from the room, reflecting on the finely trimmed flower branches.

Ji Xingjue approached the house silently, and suddenly heard footsteps.

He immediately stuck to the base of the wall and listened attentively.

The sound of two messy footsteps stopped on the balcony, and the sound of slightly messy breathing was carried to his ears along with the sound of the wind. After a long time, he heard An Tang sigh. “Brother.”

An Hong gave a short “hmm”.

“Are you hiding something from me?”

An Hong was very honest: “I am.”

An Tang seemed to be confused by his bluntness and didn’t know what to say. After a while, he said again, “If it is something that will be harmful to you, I hope you will stop there. There will be a new election in two months and those old men in the Council don’t want you to be re-elected, so they will keep a close eye on you.”

An Hong said: “I am with appropriate behavior.”

An Tang sneered: “You have appropriate behavior, then you should take your hands off your brother’s waist.”

An Hong: “No.”

Ji Xingjue raised his head in surprise.

He simply wanted to steal a piece of information, but he didn’t expect that this would break through the secrets of the Chairman of the Council and the Admiral that could be recorded in the history of the Alliance.

But they weren’t real brothers, and Ji Xingjue wouldn’t give a damn about them. He just wanted the two brothers who were blowing air on the balcony to leave quickly.

An Tang didn’t seem to want to talk more about this with An Hong, so he quickly changed the subject. “I invited Ji Xingjue when I went to the Empire, but I didn’t expect him not to come.”

An Hong said, “According to intelligence, Ji Xingjue was injured when he went to the front line and is currently receiving treatment in the hospital. Qi Qing keeps him very closely, and our people can’t get in touch.”

An Tang smiled vaguely. “Injured? I’m afraid there’s something wrong with his body. After all, with his body, he’ll be gone, sooner or later.”

Ji Xingjue’s face suddenly turned ugly.

He knew that An Tang invited him to the Alliance not only because of the praise of the Third Prince.

An Tang knew his secret.

The notification sound of the terminal suddenly sounded, and then stopped, An Hong said, “Qi Qing is here.”

An Tang lazily said, “Let’s go, go entertain our distinguished guest.”

When the voices of the two gradually faded away, Ji Xingjue took a little breath. After confirming that no one was there, he climbed onto the railing and flipped lightly onto the balcony. It was convenient for him that An Hong and An Tang didn’t close the balcony door.

Before he came in, he had figured out the layout of the villa. There was a study room on the first floor and the second floor respectively and it wasn’t sure where the materials would be. If he was lucky, it would be on the second floor and he didn’t need to give away the small gift for An Hong. If he wasn’t unlucky, he might have to take a risk and go to the first floor.

The second floor was an elegant and classic tea room. The hot tea on the table was still steaming. He got out of the room and when he passed the stairs, he heard Qi Qing’s voice from downstairs.

Unexpectedly, the Lord Marshal would come to visit the Chairman of the Council in the middle of the night.

Fortunately, Qi Qing attracted his attention, which made his actions much easier.

Ji Xingjue quickly found An Hong’s study room. The Chairman’s study room at home had to be code-cracked. He took out his mobile optical computer, connected to the code door, and quickly unlocked it with his fingers, secretly praying that Qi Qing would stay a little longer.

The progress bar slowly advanced, and when it reached 100%, the conversation downstairs had not stopped.

Long live the Lord Marshal.

Ji Xingjue praised in his heart, then turned and flashed into the study. He picked up the decipher prepared earlier in the morning, plugged it into the fixed optical-computer interface in the study, and opened it to search for information.

There were a lot of confidential documents on this optical computer, and Ji Xingjue would trigger an alarm if he clicked on it. He didn’t care about those files. After looking at it again, it was regrettable to find that the little gift he prepared had to be given away.

The information about the Randa Empire wasn’t on this optical computer.

He put away the breaker, turned on the remote controller, and pressed it.

A few seconds later, a loud “bang” sounded in the peaceful capital.

The conversation downstairs stopped.

Ji Xingjue specially found an empty abandoned factory, and after detecting that there was no one nearby, he pretended to be a commander, and sent a message to the terminals of the nearby residents, prohibiting them from approaching, and gave the Chairman of the Council a gift with a lot of thunder and little rain (all hear is words but no action, false alarm.)

He moved closer to the stairs, and sure enough, there was no one on the first floor. The An family brothers had already rushed out of the room and were talking with the guards. Out of courtesy, Qi Qing also went out to watch the excitement.

An Hong would soon find out that this was just an empty cannon to attract his attention, so he had to hurry up.

Ji Xingjue turned over and jumped, like a cat, folded in the air, and landed lightly on the ground on the first floor.

He hadn’t stood up yet, as his head raised, he met the eyes of Qi Qing who was standing at the door and turned back as if sensing something.

Qi Qing: “…”

Ji Xingjue: “…”

The scene froze for a moment.

Qi Qing stared at him and coldly curled up the corners of his lips.
