World Through Blank Eyes

Chapter 20 - Melted

[Edward's point of view]

I couldn't see anything it was blank. Bree is very strong. She can take control over my body completely even when I am completely conscious of myself.

She made me see what she wanted me to see and blocked my sight to the things she did not like for me to see. But there was that one thing she did not control for me, and that's my sense to hear. I heard everything, and she couldn't stop me.

And within the darkness, I heard her conversation with Asami. I was surprised. Asami got accepted by Bree without even trying. It was her instinct.

I was there listening all the time. Bree voice was different than mine and only I (of course) and Enzo knew.

Asami sat there silently after Bree told her that Enzo knew too, and that she does not like him.

All of a sudden and through Asami's silence, Bree slept. I was left out alone. Bree did not control me, but she was there. Listening. Seeing.

Asami stood and her body language said "I'm leaving now, but let's meet again Bree." But it was me. I did not speak. I did not stop her. She was about to leave. She reached the door. I called her out.

"You know, Asami... Thank you."

A smile slowly broke through her serious face. My mind stopped functioning. It was different.

"You are most welcome Edward. You too Bree," she replied.

"Can you wait for me?" I asked hopefully

"I'll always be waiting here."

And she never broke her promise...

.

He was Edward. He was happy. Or that's what I saw. I waited for him.

.

I left my room. She waited for me.
