Worlds: The Beginning

"Since you are now my little brother, these butler clothes are not appropriate for you. I will get you more appropriate ones," Xiao Yuuma said.

She walked up to the door.

"Let's go."

Xiao Feng looked at her questioningly.

"Where are we going, big sister?

"I am going to show you to your room and you will go to sleep for today."

Xiao Feng nodded his head in agreement.

"Okay, big sister."

He followed her out of the room and continued following her as she led him down the corridor.

"These paintings. Who are these two people?" Xiao Feng said after passing more than ten paintings that depicted a man and a woman.

"They are… they are my parents," she finished her words with deep sadness in her voice.

Feng lowered his head.

'I don't know what it is to have parents, so I can't relate to my new big sister.'

She stopped in front of the door and he stopped right behind her.

"From today on, this here will be your room. Go and rest. Tomorrow will be a long day," she finished her words by opening the door.

"Okay, big sister."

Xiao Feng walked into the room and the door closed behind him with Xiao Yuuma's voice, "See you tomorrow, my little brother."

He turned around and saw a closed door.

"Goodnight, big sister," he shouted out and turned away from the door.

Looking a round, he saw a shelf, a bed, a big window, curtains, a lamp, a desk and a rug.

Stepping on the rug, he thought, 'So soft.'

He walked up to bed and touched the pillow and blanket.

'Just a few days ago, I used some rags for my blanket and didn't have any kind of a pillow. Just a few days ago, I had clothes made off some rags I found in the streets but now I have fancy clothes worth thousands of gold coins.'

A wide smiled appeared on his face.

'I even have a big sister now.'

He jumped on his bed and thought as he fell asleep, 'So Soft! I don't know if having my soul taken was a curse or just a blessing in disguise.'

The night passed and the morning came.

The door slowly opened and through it, entered Sebastian.

He walked up to the bed on which Xiao Feng was sleeping with a happy expression on his face.

"Wake up!" he shouted out but Xiao Feng showed no reaction.

He extended his hand towards Xiao Feng and shook him.

"Wake up!"

Xiao Feng once again showed no reaction.

Sebastian shook him harder.

"Wake up!"

Xiao Feng's eyelids wavered.

Xiao Feng's eyes slowly opened. But he could not feel the warm and comfy bed below him, he only felt the cold hard ground.

He frowned.

'Didn't I fall asleep on the bed?'

He sat up on the ground, sitting up so quickly that he didn't even look at the sky. He looked around his surroundings and became shocked.

"How is this possible?!" he exclaimed as he saw the grass which was half as tall as him. But that wasn't what shocked him.

What shocked him was that this grass was of light-blue colour.

He was so shocked that he lost his strength in the upper body and fell back to the ground. His head hit the ground and his eyes shut tightly.

"Ow!" he couldn't help but shout out.

A breath of time flashed and he realised that he actually felt no pain.

Raising his arm, he touched the part of his head that he hid but he felt no bumps.

Opening his eyes, he once again became shocked as he saw the sky.

He rubbed his eyes with his hands but the sight remained the same.

The sky that he looked at was grey in colour and in it, three objects were visible. To the left side there was a crimson red crescent moon and to the right side there was another crimson red crescent moon, and these two moons mirrored each other.

Above these two moons – a black sun, darker than the void itself radiated its dark rays.

Holding in his breath, he mumbled, "Where am I?"

Rising up from the ground, he looked around.

Everyone he looked, he only saw the overgrown grass, grey sky, two crimson red crescent moons amd the sun that was darker than the void itself.

As he was looking around, he suddenly felt an urge to go to the north.

It was as if someone was calling for him.

He listened to his instinct and walked in this direction.

Ten breaths of time passed and in the distance, he saw that the grass was not half his size, it was not even above his ankles. And on this grass, a figure stood with its back facing him.

He absentmindedly approached this figure and when he was only a very short distance away, he felt like he lost all control of his body, a feeling of suppression rose over him.

"Did you forget?"

She turned around and looked at him.

His pupils constricted as he recognised her.

She was the goddess he met in Eden.

She smiled and slowly approached him.

She approached him slowly and with each taken step, her smile grew less and less until it was completely vacant from her face.

She stopped in front of him extended her hand and touched his cheek. He felt electricity go through his body.

"What did I tell you?"

He wanted to reply but he couldn't.

"I told you that you belong to me. Why did you tell your name to another non-human?"

She shook her head.

"No matter, your soul belongs to me and always will. No matter what kind of being, tries to invade it. They will never succeed!"

She moved her hand away and smiled.

"Until our next meeting, Feng'er,"

She snapped her fingers and Xiao Feng could feel his consciousness fade away.

Xiao Feng's eyelids finally wavered and he now felt a soft warm bed under him. His eyes opened and the first thing he saw was Sebastian's face. All the events that he saw were still present in his brain.

"You are finally awake."

"Sebastian?"

"Yes, it's me."

"Why are you here?" Xiao Feng asked as he still was not recovered from what happened just a minute ago. He immediately frowned and thought, 'She said that I said my name to another non-human? Was she mistaken?'

"Feng?"

"What?"

"I have brought you your clothes, get changed."

Xiao Feng looked at the clothes Sebastian pointed at and nodded his head. He put on the new trousers, black pants and a red robe.

"One more thing before we go, Feng."

Xiao Feng tilted his head in confusion.

"What is it?"

Sebastian shook his head.

"It's nothing. Forget I said anything. Let's go."

"Alright."

The two left the room and Sebastian escorted Xiao Feng to a large room with a large table.

He saw Xiao Yuuma sitting at this table and she saw him and Sebastian.

She smiled.

"Come, my little brother."

He walked up and sat opposite of Xiao Yuuma.

She nodded then glanced at Sebastian.

"Sebastian, go and bring us our breakfast."

"As you wish, young lady!"

The man attempted to step outside, but Xiao Yuuma's voice sounded.

"Stop right there!"

"Is there anything else, young lady?"

"You didn't forget anything, Sebastian?" she said in a displeased voice.

Sebastian shook his head.

"I don't think I did, young lady."

"Is that so? Then what about my little brother?"

"Young lady?"

"You are to treat him as you treat me, do you understand?"

Sebastian bit his teeth and nodded.

"Yes, young lady."

He turned to Xiao Feng and bowed his head.

"My apologies, young master Xiao Feng. May I leave?"

Xiao Feng was taken aback and so he only nodded his head slightly.

"Do I have my permission to leave, young lady? Young master?"

Sebastian turned his head to Xiao Feng.

"May I leave, young master?"

"Yes…"

Sebastian bowed his head.

"I will return with the breakfast of the young lady and young master shortly."

Sebastian left and Xiao Yuuma looked at Xiao Feng who sat opposite of her.

"How did you sleep?"

Xiao Feng blinked his eyes.

"It was really comfortable. Not only it was comfortable, but it was also the best sleep I ever had."

Xiao Yuuma smiled.

"That's good."

"What about you, big sister?"

"It was pretty good but I wouldn't call it the best sleep I had."

Xiao Feng nodded.

"Big sister you said that this will be a busy day for me, what did you mean by that?"

She nodded.

"From today on you will start learning."

"Learning?"

"That's right, from today on you will start learning and maybe if you become good enough you might even be admitted to the peerless academy."
