Chapter 26.1 – Milk

In Yuantang City, Haoyuan Group had a large number of investment projects. After meeting with the person in charge of these projects in the afternoon and hearing a lengthy report, Bai Xingfan went to take part in the business dinner, which lasted until ten o’clock that night. He sent a message to Su Yan after he left the hotel, but she didn’t respond, leading him to believe that she was already asleep and that he shouldn’t worry about her anymore.

The film and television city was located in a county town around Yuantang City. It was past eleven o’clock when the driver brought Bai Xingfan back to the Dongan Hotel. This hotel was owned by Haoyuan Group. The general manager of the hotel had been waiting for Bai Xingfan and personally sent him to the room.

The lights in the room were already on when the door was opened, but the general manager was not surprised and said to him respectfully, “Sir, have a nice night.”

Bai Xingfan thought before he came that they had switched on the lights for him, didn’t pay much attention, and went inside. The waiter followed behind him, brought his luggage in, and then left quickly. The general manager, who was standing outside, closed the door.

When the door was closed, Bai Xingfan, who was exhausted, heard a light noise in the bedroom. He frowned slightly, walked towards the bedroom, and was ready to open the door when Su Yan came out from the bathroom, only wearing a towel. Her long black hair was dripping wet. There were a few drops of moist water on the white and tender, slender arms, and the drops were dazzling.

Bai Xingfan’s throat tightened for an instant, and his jet-black pupils deepened a bit, like a beast-smelling blood, but he had strong self-restraint and reacted quickly. He left the room and closed the door. He couldn’t take a risk by staying in the room for a second.

The moment he closed the door, he ordered in a deep voice, “Get dressed and come out to see me.”

Su Yan felt that his order was mixed with anger, which was exactly the case in fact. He was indeed very angry, but not at her but at himself, because he hated this kind of behaviour that was on the verge of getting out of control. He could control his own feelings and emotions, his own matters before he met Su Yan. But now, as soon as he met her, his self-control would collapse, and his desires and emotions would be destroyed at once. Once again on the verge of losing control. Before today, he encountered this situation many times: as soon as he opened the door of the hotel bedroom, there was a woman lying on his bed naked or wearing a set of sexy lingerie. No matter how they teased him, he would not have any desire or body reaction for them. Whenever this happened before, he would tell those women to leave, and then punish the hotel manager severely. After being fined a few times, no one dared use such indecent means against him. However, Su Yan became an exception, and she was the only exception. She didn’t say a word, just stood by the bed wrapped in a white towel, staring at him with big black eyes, which was enough to arouse his desire. At that moment, there was even a crazy impulse in his heart, he wanted to hold her on the bed, strangle her throat, put a shackle on her, and never let her fly away. But he loved her and liked her very much, so he was reluctant to hurt her, so he could only restrain his desire desperately, take care of her carefully, pamper her, and hope that one day she would be moved by him and stay by his side willingly.

Su Yan was in a state of bewilderment, not knowing why Bai Xingfan had suddenly appeared in her room. After a long time of bewilderment, her brain started to work again, and immediately went to lock the door. Although she knew in her heart that Bai Xingfan would not do anything to her, she just felt uneasy. After locking the door, she quickly got dressed before going to dry her hair.

The door of the bedroom was facing the couch in the living room. As soon as Su Yan opened the door, she saw that Bai Xingfan was actually smoking.

‘He still smokes?’

After getting closer, Su Yan found that there was a black marble ashtray on the coffee table, and there were already several cigarette butts in it. Su Yan suddenly became unconvinced: ‘You have the nerve to say that drinking milk tea is not healthy for me? Are tar and nicotine healthier than creamer and flavour?’ Thinking this way, Su Yan couldn’t help but ask, “Is smoking healthier than drinking milk tea?”

“…” Bai Xingfan gritted his teeth and extinguished the unfinished half of the cigarette in his hand. In fact, he didn’t want to smoke at first, but the feeling of nicotine entering his lungs could stimulate his nerves and help him maintain self-control. Hearing Su Yan’s words, Bai Xingfan very skillfully pinched the cigarette, just as skillfully as he was exhaling the smoke.

Su Yan had heard people say that only experienced smokers could snuff out cigarette butts so skillfully. “You’re so young, why do you get into bad habits?” She sighed, saying, “Hey, it’s easy to get cancer.”

“It can refresh you.” Bai Xingfan’s voice was dark and slightly hoarse.

Su Yan said confidently, “Milk tea can also refresh you.”

Bai Xingfan: “…” ‘So it’s because I asked her to drink less milk tea at noon today that she was so unconvinced?’

Bai Xingfan sighed helplessly, lifted the cigarette butt up with his thumb, and twirled half of the cigarette on his slender fingertips. Then he squeezed the cigarette butt and pressed the cigarette into the ashtray: “Speak, why are you here?”

He didn’t think she was the same as those women who threw themselves into his arms before, but he really couldn’t figure out why she would appear in his room in the middle of the night.

Su Yan was stunned for a moment. “I still want to ask you, why are you in my room?”

“Your room?”

Su Yan: “Yes, the crew has arranged it for me.”

Bai Xingfan instantly understood everything. “Your room?” Didn’t you live in this hotel a few days ago?”
