After Shin trained that night, Shin took the sleepy little Asia to the toilet and waited for her outside. Afterwards, the both of them headed towards his room, with the sleepy Asia trailing behind Shin.

Both of them immediately slept after reaching his room, with Asia sleeping right beside him. To be honest, Shin is already used to this so he's not panicking like an inexperienced v.i.r.g.i.n. Haniel and Gabrielle would sometimes sleep with him so he is used to these kinds of situations.

Besides, Asia is still a little girl so there's really no other meaning behind her sleeping on his bed with him. If anything, she's opened up to him quite fast. Probably because she is as innocent as Gabrielle, Tapris, and Raphiel.

Her shy demeanor is nowhere to be found as she slowly developed a friendly and reserved demeanor. Unlike Jeanne and Irina who can only be described as 'Social Butterflies', Asia would only talk to those who she knows while not acting too shyly. She's slowly building up courage and confidence, which Shin is absolutely happy to see.

After a few weeks of her sleeping with him, Shin noticed that Asia have a cute habit when sleeping. She would often cling onto one of his arms, wrapping her arms around it, and rub her face on his arm like a little kitty cat.

Tonight was no exception. Seeing her wrap her arms around his right arms, rub her head on his shoulder, and smile so peacefully, Shin also couldn't help but smile.

『I guess I'll sleep now. Good night, Yuki,』 Shin said.

『Mm, good night,』 Yuki replied.

The next day, Shin woke up early and slipped out of the bed silently. He don't want to wake up the cute little Angel beside him, after all.

After washing his face, brushing his teeth, and using a mouthwash, Shin made a beeline towards the dojo to train. He was able to train there for more than an hour before someone called him out for breakfast.

After eating breakfast with all the inhabitants of this training facility, all of them headed towards the dojo once again to start their training. They waited for a few minutes to rest then they started to start their training for today.

The instructors made some rounds as they corrected the kids about their mistakes, sometimes giving them pointers and performing some motions before the kids. They are teaching some hand to hand combat knowledge so Asia is also participating.

During this training, Shin would try to imitate a famous boxer that he know. He took some tricks and moves that he saw from him and copy his footwork a bit to incorporate it to his swordsmanship and hand to hand combat style. The fast side steps and the style of constantly going around in circles of the enemy using practiced and fast footsteps is something that will be useful to him in the future.

While he's at it, he also tried to copy his training, creating a big chart with different numbers and trying to reach out to them one by one in an order that he thought of prior to training. It was quite effective for him as it trains his eyes. It makes his target selection and focus to increase. This way, he could immediately find an opening on the enemy the very moment it reveals itself.

"Alright! For our sword training, we will be having some mock battles!" Griselda announced.

"We will have a raffle and everyone will have a random opponent!-" Griselda added.

She then looked at Shin and said,

"-Shin, you will have to pick two opponents. Priest Vasco Strada said that this will be a challenge for you."

Hearing this, Shin was stupefied.

'Isn't this a little too over the top?' Shin thought.

"This will determine whether you can move under his tutelage or wait for another one or two months," Griselda said seriously.

Hearing this, Shin immediately turned serious.

"Understood," Shin said as he went forward and draw the lots.

After drawing the lots, Shin went back and waited for his turn. A few minutes went as some battles unfolded.

Tosca was pitted against a boy her age. She was quite good at using the sword as she has been training for a little over a year. But, that's also the same for the boy who is currently her opponent. He and Tosca arrived at this place at the same time so both of them have the same experience.

They both went into their own stances as everyone waited for Griselda to begin the match. They didn't have to wait for long as Griselda raised her hand and said,

"The battle will end after one of you landed a clean hit, incapacitated the opponent, or if the opponent surrenders! Begin!"

When she said that, the boy immediately ran towards Tosca and tried to do an overhead slash. But, this was immediately dodged by Tosca. She tried to counter with her own attack, trying to slash the boy on his torso after sidestepping.

The boy bent his body backwards as he dodged the sword by a hair's breadth. He immediately lunged forward, trying to stab Tosca on her shoulder. But, that was easily parried by Tosca.

She brushed the boy's sword tip aside. Not letting the opening she created to go to waste, Tosca immediately started to make her move. She immediately brought down a diagonal slash towards the boy, which she stopped right before it landed.

"I surrender!" the boy said.

Hearing him surrender, Tosca removed the sword that is on the boy's neck. She then helped the boy out as they exchanged handshakes and compliments.

"The winner is Tosca Strand!-" Griselda announced.

She then looked at the both of them and said,

"-Good job, both of you!"

"Thank you, Sister Griselda!" both of them said in unison.

Meanwhile, Shin was quite confused.

'Strand? Does she have a legal guardian? If I remember correctly, we have an instructor here named Nicole Strand,' he thought.

His question was answered almost instantly when he saw a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes approach Tosca. She gave her a tight squeeze as she smiled at her in happiness, praising her for doing a great job.

"Next match is a special match against Shin Flammia Tenma, Xenovia Quarta, and Jeanne Quarta!" Griselda announced.

Upon hearing her announcement, Shin was once again confused.

'Quarta? So, they're technically siblings? Since they have the same guardian and all,' Shin thought.

While thinking about this, Shin walked towards the middle of dojo while bringing his wooden sword. Seeing this, Griselda checked if they're all in position before announcing,

"The battle will end after one of you landed a clean hit, incapacitated the opponent, or if the opponent surrenders!"

She then looked around and checked if both parties are listening. She waited for them to finish their small talk.

"I hope you don't mind us ganging up on you, Shi-kun," Jeanne said.

"Mm, no hard feelings," Xenovia added.

"Hmm? Well, I guess? Good luck, both of you. Let's do our best!" Shin replied.

"Yes!" both of them said as they nodded in unison.

After their talk, Griselda immediately raised her hand and said,

"Begin!"

When Griselda said the magic words, both Jeanne and Xenovia immediately rushed forward to try and overwhelm Shin. Unfortunately for them, Shin is ready to receive them.

When he saw Xenovia jump up, probably attempting to perform an overhead swing, Shin just stood in his place. He even closed his eyes, making the two girls puzzled like everyone else inside the room. But, when he finally opened it, they felt a chill run down their spines.

Even the hair in their arms stood on end as they got goosebumps. Those eyes, they're extremely cold that it felt like it could probably freeze someone to death.

Then, when Xenovia's attack arrived, Shin just stopped it with his wooden sword parallel to the ground, before slanting his sword slightly to the right where Jeanne is going to attack. He then pushed her wooden sword to the right, making Xenovia follow as well. As a result, Xenovia and Jeanne almost collided.

Shin waited for both of them to recover, not showing any signs that he wanted to attack at all. After Jeanne and Xenovia composed themselves, they looked at each other before nodding in tacit understanding.

Right after that signal, Jeanne dashed towards his right while Xenovia dashed towards his left. When they arrived beside him, just enough distance for Shin to be in their attacking range, they started throwing some slashes and thrusts towards him.

Shin was unperturbed, dodging the slashes and thrusts with minimal movements. When a slash is coming towards him, he would block it with the blade of his wooden sword, before redirecting it towards another direction. When a thrust is coming towards him, he would wait for it to arrive before twisting his body, disorienting the stances of Xenovia and Jeanne.

After he dodged Jeanne's sword thrust, Xenovia came at him with a wide arc diagonal slash from the right. Shin received it by parrying the tip of her sword with the tip of his sword. Then, he abruptly waved his sword towards left, making Xenovia follow his movements. He then waved his sword to the right, making Xenovia follow once again. At the very end of his second swing, he applied more force into it.

This made Xenovia wide open on her right flank and Shin finally decided to end this fight. After waving his sword to the right, he followed up with a quick slash towards Xenovia's wide open right flank. Well, he just tapped her flank a bit at the end of this slash though.

This all happened just within 1-2 seconds, making the still inexperienced Xenovia unable to respond at all. In fact, she just felt like her body swayed from right to left then she was defeated after that. Not only her but everyone inside the room was stunned and dazed for a few moments.

Well, the kids, for the most part, was stunned and dazed because they thought his movements were so cool just now, while the a.d.u.l.ts were stunned seeing Shin's almost masterful movements. Even Vasco Strada was not an exception to this. He just looked at Griselda, seemingly trying to ask if she teached those moves to him.

Griselda, who felt the Cardinal Priest's gaze, just shook her head in denial. There's no way she could have the time to teach him a move like that. He's only been here for a month. That's honestly too short a time for someone to even learn the basics.

Seeing her shake her head, Vasco redirected his gaze towards Jeanne who is ready to strike once again. She dashed towards him and this time, she's attacking with an upwards slash from the bottom left of Shin.

Shin just parried mid swing, when it was still at the bottom, and twisted body counterclockwise. Just after twisting his body, he took a small step forwards, passed his sword to his left hand, and started the basic motion of punching. Take a step forward, twist your waist, then your shoulder, and deliver the punch!

That's what Shin did but, he just tapped her wide open left flank a bit before sidestepping towards her right side and ducking to avoid her sword arm which is still up in the air. He then passed the sword which was on his left hand to his right, delivered a punch at her also wide open right flank, took another small sidestep, and then another punch. To finish it off, he twisted his body counterclockwise and delivered a slash at Jeanne. Well, those punches and slash were all just soft touches and not something that could injure them.

Meanwhile, Jeanne was shocked by what happened. Hey, which kid would be able to react at such happenings that only spanned for only a second or two? Maybe that certain little monkey can but not the cute little Jeanne. Feeling like she lost, she couldn't hold her tears back anymore.

Upon seeing her tear up, Shin knew that this girl is like Irina and the others. They just can't help but hate losing! When they lose at something, they'll cry! That's how kids are, anyway. There's rarely any kid who would love losing. That's just plain weird.

Shin approached Jeanne who is trying her best to look like a brave little girl, which is absolutely cute, given that even though her face is scrunched up, she still looks cute, and hugged her. His previous state is already nowhere to be found as he gently c.a.r.e.s.sed Jeanne's head

"There, there. Don't cry~. You will have more opportunities to defeat me in the future," Shin said.

Jeanne stopped crying upon hearing his words. She looked up at him and asked,

"Really, Shi-kun?"

"Really. I'm certain that Jeanne-chan will only get better in the future! So don't cry," Shin coaxed.

"Un!" Jeanne nodded, a sad expression still on her face.

"Come on, smile~," Shin said, wiping Jeanne's tears with his hands.

Feeling his gentle actions, a smile slowly adorned Jeanne's cute face.

"Right! That's it! You look cuter when you smile," Shin complimented.

Moments later, Shin heard some complaints behind him.

"How sly, Jeanne-chan! You can't just pretend to cry after losing and make Shin-kun console you!" a voice that he knows so well said.

Yes, it was the brown haired and violet eyed girl who goes by the name of Irina.

"Uuuu, Shin-saaan~," another voice said.

This is the girl who always barge inside his room to sleep, Asia.

"Asia, I don't see why you should be having that expression. I see you go inside Shin's room almost everyday," a calm and slightly tomboy-ish voice said.

"E-Eh!? Xenovia-san! W-What do you m-mean by that!?" Asia replied in a panic.

"Whaat!? You always sleep with him, Asia-chan!?" Irina bellowed.

"It's not a surprise that you don't know about this, Irina. You always sleep like a log," Xenovia quipped.

"What do you mean by that!? You! If we're talking about sleeping like a log, then isn't it you? I bet you just woke up that night because you fell from your bed! Hmph!" Irina retorted.

"U-Umm, please don't fight," Asia, who was in the middle of being interrogated earlier, turned into Irina's and Xenovia's mediator.

Well, a shy and soft spoken girl isn't someone fit for this job. The evidence is the scene in front of her where Irina and Xenovia is still throwing childish remarks at each other. To put a stop on this, Shin let go of Jeanne and approached the three of them.

He then hugged the cute little Asia, who is now panicking because she can't stop them, and gave her a tight squeeze.

"Mm, Asia-chan is so cute. If both of you don't stop fighting, I won't help you brush your hair again," Shin said.

This seems to be quite effective as both of the girls immediately went quiet. A few weeks back, these three girls; Irina, Xenovia, and Jeanne, saw Shin brushing Asia's hair with care. Upon seeing this, Irina immediately jumped on the opportunity and got Shin to take care of her hair, too. Jeanne and Xenovia joined in, since they have nothing to do.

But, after that experience, they would come to Shin everyday to take care of their hair. Even Xenovia, who hates her hair being long since it gets in the way, now thanked God for not letting her cut it short. From then on, this became their bonding time.

Seeing that the commotion already stopped, Griselda announced the winner immediately.

"The winner of this match is Shin Flammia Tenma!" she said.

She then moved towards the girls and said,

"Both of you, Jeanne and Xenovia Quarta. I will have to talk to you later about making such a commotion in the middle of this dojo."

Hearing this, both of them shivered.

"It looks like you're more than ready to receive my training, huh, little Shin!" Vasco said after approaching Shin.

"Yes!" Shin replied.

"Hnn, but, be ready though. I will have you go through some grueling training! I hope you don't quit after experiencing that," Vasco added.

"No way! You're on!" Shin declared.

"Hahaha! It seems like you're certainly ready for this! Now, let's head towards my house for you to officially start training under me!" Vasco announced.
