Living Together With The Goddess-Sama. (Part 1)

“Hmm. It’s surprisingly clean and tidy.”

That was the first thing that girl said to me.

That night, shivering in the cold, I returned to my flat in my 30-year-old apartment and opened the door to find a girl in a school uniform standing in the kitchen, just outside the front door, peering into the sink.

I live alone, and I don’t have a girlfriend.

My childhood friend Kaho used to come to this flat frequently, but after I failed with my confession to her, she stopped coming here.

So it’s impossible for me to have a girl standing in my flat…

I had seen this girl earlier today.

The girl was my classmate, the “Ice Goddess”.

She was perfect and the most beautiful girl in school.

The name of the girl with long, straight silver hair and blue eyes is Mikoto Rei .

Why is Mikoto-san in my flat?

How did she get the flat to this room in the first place?

I have absolutely no idea.

“Akihara-kun, right? Why are you frozen like that? Why don’t you take off your shoes?”

She called my name and I came back to my senses.

Mikoto-san was looking at me with her clear blue eyes.

I cleared my throat.

“Mikoto-san, right? My classmate. I don’t really know what’s going on, but I think that you are probably are in the wrong flat.”

“This is flat number #301, your place, right? I didn’t make a mistake.”

“Why are you even in my room?”

“Because, from today on, this will also be my home.”

As if it were a matter of course, Mikoto-san said those words.

I froze once more.

Mikoto Rei, a popular classmate of mine who is also known as the “Goddess” at school, was going to start living in my apartment.

Don’t tell me… I don’t think she means that she will live in this apartment with me.

That being said.

I thought about it for a while, and then said timidly.

“I haven’t failed to pay my rent, and I’m being evicted, which is a violation of the Land and Building Lease Law.”

“No one said anything about eviction.”

“But you are going to stay in this room, right, Mikoto-san?”

“That’s right. I have no choice but to live here. I have to live in this flat where you live, Akihara-kun.”

Mikoto-san said that without any change in expression on her beautiful face, as if it were a given.

From now on, as she said, I will be living with the “Goddess” of the school in this small place.

In many ways, it was a little unbelievable.

Could this be some kind of prank plan?

Maybe some of my friends are actually hiding in the closet of the apartment and will appear just to chill out?

I opened the closet with a bang.

There was no one there.

Maybe it was not a prank plan.

Mikoto-san looked at me strangely.

“What are you doing?”

“No, nothing…”

As I replied, several books fell out of the closet.

I tried to hide them, but Mikoto-san quickly took a quick peek at them.

What kind of book would a high school boy hide in a closet?

It seems that Mikoto-san had no idea about it.

A glamorous girl in a swimsuit was on the cover of a photo book by Himejima Iri, a recently popular bikini idol.

These are, well, embarrassing, but… they are still good.

The problem was one of the books flipped open revealing its contents.

To put it quite simply, it was an erotic book.

In my defense, it was not mine.

It was forced upon me by a friend of mine named Ooki.

But Mikoto-san didn’t know that, and stared at the book, then mumbled contemptuously,

“Disgusting…”

Mikoto gave me a cold, icy look.

I don’t think she needs to look at me with such a reproachful look because of a mere eighteen forbidden photo magazines.

I sighed.

“Are you a germaphobe, Mikoto-san?”

“I hate that kind of thing! All men want to have s*x and they all think about it all the time, it’s so stupid!”

“I understand that you don’t like men, Mikoto-san. But, please don’t say such things to me, I’ll be at a loss.”

“Disgusting, DISGUSTING!! Why do I have to live in such a small room with a guy?! It really sucks.”

The goddess seemed to be in a bad mood.

This is the first time I’ve seen Mikoto-san show her emotions so openly.

I wonder if there was something that made her dislike this kind of thing.

Either way, I don’t know anything.

At the very least, it seems that Mikoto-san didn’t want to live in this house with me.

Rumor has it that Mikoto-san is the daughter of the president of a large company, so there seems to be no reason for her to live in such a cheap apartment.

I gave it a try to ask her.

“I don’t know what it is, but if you don’t like it that much, you can leave. It’s not like I expect you to stay here. Mikoto-san?”

Suddenly, Suikoto-san stopped moving.

What happened?

Mikoto-san looked at me with a troubled expression on her neat face and her beautiful blue eyes looking up at me.

Unlike when I saw her in the classroom and earlier, Mikoto-san looked very timid and helpless right now.

Mikoto-san whispered.

“I’m sorry. Are you mad at me?”

“No, I’m not angry. But I hope you leave this place soon.”

“I can’t do that. Because I have nowhere else to go.”

Mikoto-san said this in a faint voice and looked at me.
