Aura wanted a location with great benefits, as well as great beauty and great accessability, and he could only think of a few locations.

Factoring in what he would need to repair Dawn's Fury, he had onke 3 locations.

Finally, factoring in how much money he needed to make, he only had one location.

There were many strange and mystical locations in Ascendance, and the Cliff of Howling Songs is one of them.

This was an ordinary seaside cliff in every way, except at the top of the cliff, overlooking the sea, there was a single grand piano carved out of stone, this piano was fully functional, and had been for thousands of years without maintenance.

Playing the piano begins to control the raw forces in the area, leading the nature and scenery to play along with you, but there will be a severe backlash if you don't play well.

For many years, players just thought it was a place to play beautiful music, but a player later found that this piano was an incredible artifact, although they couldn't figure out its purpose.

Until players broke through to the fourth realm that is. In the fourth realm, music was the weapon of choice for its residents. Classes related to music and dancing were released and any player creating a character could choose them. These classes had no chosen force, instead they indirectly utilized all four forces by entertaining the spirits.

Players who spent a lot of time in the greater libraries of the fourth realm would find mention of 'the founder king's piano' which could guide people to any location they wished. One player, who happened to be a great music lover, made the connection and worked out a code that allowed players to play beautiful songs, while at the same time, inputting coordinates into tbe piano.

Aura, as fascinated by this as he was all other mystical secrets in this fantasy world, immediately changed instruments to the piano (in the fourth realm, all players need to pick an instrument or art form with which they can communicate with the spirits, which is why most players capable of reaching the fourth realm didn't bother until the method to reach the fifth realm spread).

Aura didn't have any great talent for music, but he was still good enough to use the piano, and what's more, he knows why the piano was at the top of the Cliff of Howling Songs.

The cliff wasn't named like it was because of the piano, the piano was placed at the cliff because of what lied beneath it, an ancient siren's grotto (now empty) with a massive deposit of singing stones at the bottom.

Singing stones were used to communicate long distances as well as record messages. They were highly prized due to this, and if one could get a hold of a sizable number, one would be rich.

Aura knew the coordinates for many treasures, and while getting back would be a pain and a half, the Cliff of Howling Songs was the absolute best choice for Aura's first player base.

Aura's plan was to build a base into the face of the cliff, so that nobody could see him from the piano, meaning that to sh.i.p.s passing by, he would live in a cave.

In order to build a base pillar he would need a pillar tree, as well as a few alchemy ingredients.

Fortunately, all of these were already being sold (by players who gathered them and sold them without knowing their true value) on the market, so Aura bought up a great many materials, spending almost every coin he had on him.

These materials would skyrocket in price later, but only an idiot would sell them.

Aura didn't plan to make money off of his most recent purchase, he planned to build a base large enough to suit his needs forever, and while the first realm wasn't the greatest place to build such a base, due to its high population and invasive governments, Aura wanted to move quickly, getting to the second realm and beyond as soon as humanly possible.
