Bound To Evil

Giulia was trying to stay calm and focused to keep her role believable, and the fact that her comrades seemed to be as diligent as she was on the task was reassuring her, but the fact that Walker and the big-b.r.e.a.s.ted s.l.u.t still hadn't shown up after half an hour of anticipation was testing her patience and making her increasingly nervous because ultimately her survival was depending on them...

Indeed, if they had chosen not to come to the TD Garden contrary to what the Alphas had anticipated, then she would obviously not have the opportunity to kill them and that would amount to condemning her to death because Giulia would have nothing to appease the anger of her pack leader when the latter would learn what she had dared to do behind her back.

All of a sudden, Giulia felt a hand on her shoulder, "Here they are." Whispered in her ear the Ganipote who had initiated this contact and whose voice she associated with that of one of the two soldiers who had accompanied her last night when she had gone to meet Walker and those accompanying him on Buren's orders, making him one of the few people who could identify their two targets.

When Giulia spun around and saw Walker at the other end of the roof staring at her nonchalantly as the blondie to his right was finishing her climb, she couldn't help but show her enthusiasm with a smirk, because it meant that her biggest source of stress had just gone away, 'Those idiots really came.' She told herself with a smile since in addition to the fact that they had come on their own to her encounter, which greatly facilitated her task, they seemed totally unaware that they were walking into her trap given their attitudes at first sight seemed relaxed...

Now all she had to do was get close enough to them to be within arm's reach and take them by surprise and it would all be over, as she had previously figured out, 'Two throats sliced and all will be settled.'

Contrary to what Giulia thought, the reason Lazar and Amandla were so relaxed wasn't that they weren't suspecting her of trying to trap them, but that they knew her group was the only threat they would have to fight in the immediate future, as Amandla hadn't sensed any presence heading their way as they moved toward Giulia and her group.

Knowing this, Amandla had expressed her confusion to Lazar a moment before they started to climb the roof because she had no idea why they were trying to lure them to them as it seemed to be the intention of these fake soldiers if not for a trap, unless this group was confident enough to believe that they could get rid of them single-handedly...

Lazar then replied with another alternative that might explain what was happening, 'We know that the woman who tried to kill you is now a Garache which means that she is the one or at least one of the people who informed the Alphas about us, so it wouldn't surprise me if she was placed here on purpose with the expectation that your beef with her would lead you to want to settle the score with her. Let's say they are observing us out of your reach and that we do what they want from us by fighting this group, because I think the only purpose of this trap is to make this group believe that they have a chance to kill us, then the Alphas will have a rough idea of our strength by sacrificing very little and that will help them plan their next move more smoothly.' Lazar concluded, having no idea that Giulia, the Garache he was referring to, was the 'mastermind' behind this and that her plan was much simpler and way less subtle than he thought.

After all, for someone like Lazar who tended to overestimate his opponents, if someone had explained to him in detail what Giulia's plan was to get rid of him and Amandla, then he would be so shocked by her stupidity that he would refuse to believe it...

Because let's face it, with the insight Giulia had on their skills and intelligence, she should know that she couldn't make them believe that she and her comrades were still human, she should understand that given what she had tried to do to Amandla, even if they were stupid enough to swallow the fact that her group was still human, they still wouldn't trust her and might even be hostile toward her, and above all, she should have been humble enough to realize from the beginning that she couldn't defeat a threat that the Alphas were taking so seriously with so little preparation and help.

Anyway, Lazar had assumed that his guess was the most plausible and was therefore confident in their victory, wanting to get it over with quickly and without revealing too much about his and Amandla's abilities for obvious reasons and because he and Amandla didn't need to work their asses off to get rid of the monsters in front of them since there was no chance of there being an Alpha in the bunch, he decided not to play Giulia's game knowing in advance what she was going to say to try to gain his trust...

So he waited for Amandla to finish climbing on the roof just in case and after that he showed a glimpse of his state of mind, "Erase that dumb smile of your face, as far as I know we're not friends." Lazar said bluntly to Giulia while waving his weapon a bit to remind her that he had it in his hand.

Giulia's smile faded from her face and it was replaced by a complicated expression, which made Lazar understand that he had just made her understand that whatever she had planned, it wouldn't be as easy as she believed it would be in the first place, "Walker, I know that you don't want to associate with me given what happened yesterday but we have no choice but to cooperate given what's at stake." She answered him while speaking through her teeth, barely able to contain her anger.

Looking to his left, Lazar saw Amandla withdraw her bow from her back where she had put it before climbing, "Stop wasting our time and turn yourselves into wolves already." She declared in a deep voice, startling everyone here concerned by this statement.
