Chapter 10: Strongest Youth Competition (Part 1)

Three days had passed by.

Despite the short amount of time it was announced, the Chu family hosting a competition attracted a lot of attention, especially the rogue cultivators who were just starting to embark on the journey as a cultivator.

Early that day, the sun had just risen but almost half of the Central State's population are gathered around the designated arena prepared by the Chu family.

It was a large arena with a large space surrounding it, there was on the large square arena at the center while four circular areas surrounding it. The arena itself can house about a hundred thousand people so there was still a large space left.

The front seats of the arena are all occupied this early while the back seats are slowly decreasing. The number of people attracted to this competition was really overwhelming, if there was more time before the competition starts, it could have been spread to the surrounding cities which would have surely attracted more people.

The people that came to watch, though they are not cultivators, they came here for the excitement a fight gives them. Because even if they can't cultivate, they still enjoy watching cultivators fight while showing off their unique techniques.

A group of mercenaries wearing shiny new gray armor was the most eye-grabbing, with the long swords hanging by their sides. They were each seated on top of their own cyan wolf, each wolf as big and uniform as they were intimidating. The wolf flag flapped in the air, filling the atmosphere with a chill.

As the person leading the troop was a forty or fifty-year-old broadly muscled man, clad in a black brocade gown, and hanging on his shoulders, a dark gold cloak. His two eyebrows were bushy and thick, giving people a sense that he seemed angry and intimidating all the time. This person was Ye Wudao, the family Head of Central State's Ye family.

"The Luo family has also come!"

A few hundred warriors wearing blue armors the shine under the sun's light, the famous product of the Luo family – the Lion's Pride!

Leading this group of warriors was a middle-aged man wearing an intimidating blue heavy armor that gives off the feeling of standing before a large lion. It was the Luo family's Head, Luo Liancheng.

Famous rogue cultivators came one after another, there were even some that made the people in the arena to shake with excitement. The competition had really attracted this much attention.

It was then, several purple-robed people appeared, they marched towards the arena with great strides, they wear one of the well-known uniforms in the Central State – the Yun Sect Uniform.

These few hundred robed people are not as simple as they seemed, each one of them possesses knowledge that normal people don't. They have studied under the Yun Sect for several years now, which means, they have learned a lot of things during that time.

The Yun Sect may not be able to compare to the size of Central State Academy, but most of the people that came from the Yun Sect are either teachers in the Central State Academy or influential elders from different families.

The power of knowledge cannot be underestimated!

They have attracted quite a bit of attention, especially what the recent rumors are about. The well-known Yun Weizhi who thought to be someone who is unable to cultivate actually possesses high cultivation and even defeated a cultivator on a higher level than him.

(AN: okay guys! I know you guys didn't notice it but I kinda used level instead of layer and now I am confused about what to really use. But I'll change it after I reach chapter 20 and from then on, I'll use layer.)

"Where is Yun Weizhi? I can't find him!"

"I saw Yun Yao but I can't see Yun Weizhi either!"

"Was it all just a rumor?"

Several people searched for Yun Weizhi as if it was an easy thing to do, the first thing that he had learned was how to conceal his presence, so unless it was someone with extreme perception or someone at the Heaven Domain Realm, it would be impossible to find him.

Yun Weizhi is just somewhere around the purple-robed people, walking calmly like he was just walking in a garden. The competition itself didn't attract him but rather the fame it would give him.

This competition was just right on time for his plan, so Yun Weizhi will not decline such a good opportunity to show off. He does not like hiding his powers but he had to so that he will not cause too much change in the timeline.

He did not even have the time to meet with the girls he knew in the novel, Feng Caide was the nearest girl but she is sadly home sheltered at the moment because of her special constitution.

Though he is not that desperate to have her fall for him and will just let things flow as they are, he still had a trillion race to lead and it is not an easy thing to do.

The sounds of drums echoed through the whole arena as everyone quieted down as they listened to it.

The clashing sounds of swords followed next as it gradually becomes louder which means it was getting closer. The sounds of loud footsteps followed after it as a large group of people consisting of about a few hundred cultivators.

Wearing blood-red armor, holding red swords, it was the Chu family's Elite guards!

Leading this elite guard was a man in his thirties, with sword-like eyebrows and sharp eagle eyes, his being carried a sharp aura with it, the sheathed sword on his waist screamed with a terrifying aura. This man was the family Head of Central State's Chu family, Chu Shanhe.

"It's the Chu family!"

"Holy moly! They sure have gone all out with their entrance."

What followed after that was some ceremonies before the competition start and then the registration of the participants. They are given numbers which will be used as a way to determine who will be their enemies.

The first round will be the elimination round, each participant will have to battle three times. They will pass once they won two or three times which means they can only be defeated once or else they will be eliminated from the competition.

The second round will be a battle royal. Those who had passed the elimination round will be then divided into four groups and will be placed on each one of the four rings. The remaining four people will be known as the four strongest youths.

The third round will be the final round as well, it will be free for all fights where they will be allowed to fight each other at the same time. The only rule will be no killing and only one winner will be left.

The other six ranks will be decided by those who lasted the most during the second round, they can be challenged if some find them unworthy of the rank.

The competition was really simple but anyone with the brain can tell that this is also another way of deciding who will the Central State's Four Young Masters and who will be the strongest among the four of them.

With the generous prize of the Chu family, Ye family, Luo family, and the Yun family. The champion will bring home a level 5 Elixer, level 5 Sacred Weapon, Level 5 Grade 2 Defensive Talisman, and a level 5 Movement Cultivation Technique.

A servant of the Chu family and carefully explained the rules to the participants. The number of participants that have registered is 273 young boys and girls. From well-known families to rogue cultivators.

After explaining the rules, the people are at the peak of their excitement, seeing this, the servant who will be serving as the host for the competition didn't let them wait for too long.
