Chapter 13: Strongest Youth Competition (Part 4)

Bai Yu stood frozen as she can feel that there is something crawling on her face as her previous mask was taken off and then replaced by it. This time, the mask felt like it is a part of her body and she feels more comfortable wearing it than the other one.

She touched the mask on her face, an indescribable feeling swelled in her heart, she stared at Yun Weizhi and still can't have enough looking at his handsome face.

"That mask can nullify divine sense to avoid getting caught. The strongest experts here don't have that strong divine sense so you were not discovered. But once you go to the Imperial City in the future, just one of the Rulers will know your secret."

"This mask…can nullify the divine senses of a ruler?"

"Yes. Not only can it nullify, but it can also help you improve your detection ability and many other things. It can also be used to communicate with me but that will be for you to find out in the future." Yun Weizhi started walking away from her.

"I won't be telling you the reason why I gave you that mask, maybe I will if you manage to defeat me but that would be in the far future or even never. It had been long since we are surrounded by this cloud of dust, everyone will be suspicious so I have to end this conversation here." Yun Weizhi then turns to look at Bai Yu. "And sorry about this."

A golden streak of lightning flew out of his hand as it flashed towards Bai Yu in a blink of an eye, Bai Yu can only say one word before she was hit by that attack.

"Wait—" *BOOM

When it hit her, it generated a strong gust of wind as it cleared the cloud of dust covering them, when it finally disappeared. Yun Weizhi can be seen standing while Bai Yu is unconscious on the ground.

"Young master Yun Weizhi won?" a man from the crowd watching the fight subconsciously let out his thought.

The judge was also surprised as he can't believe that Yun Weizhi actually won against Bai Yu who is said to be at the same level as Chu Xinghe. This means that if Yun Weizhi can defeat Bai Yu, then he can also defeat Chu Xinghe.

The judge had to announce the result, "Bai Yu is unable to battle, Yun Weizhi wins!"

The crowd erupted into cheers as they had never witnessed something like this in the past. A weapon flying towards its owner, a flash of golden lightning, the cloud of dust that seemed like it was covering the fight, and the final attack.

"Xinghe…" Chu Shanhe called out to his son who was staring seriously at Yun Weizhi. Even he was unsure how strong Yun Weizhi, but one thing is for sure, they must not lose in this competition.

"Don't worry father. I can still defeat him." Chu Xinghe confidently said.

"You can defeat him?" Chu Shanhe asked his son.

"Of course I can!" Chu Xinghe said as he stared back at his father. "Have you noticed that he didn't use the move where he gets behind Bai Yu instantly? I think he can only use it once, and even if he can use it twice, he can only use it one more time now that he had used it once."

Chu Shanhe nodded as he also realized that Yun Weizhi didn't use it again after using it one time. Although there is a possibility that he can use it one more time, he can't possibly use is more than that.

"One more thing I've noticed is that he is exhausted after fighting Bai Yu. Though I am not sure how strong Bai Yu really is, I think I can defeat her easily. If Yun Weizhi is already struggling in his fight with Bai Yu. He won't stand a chance against me." Chu Xinghe arrogantly declared.

Chu Shanhe became confident with his son's declaration.

The elimination round continued as more and more participants get eliminated.

Yun Yao, Yun Weizhi, Chu Xinghe, Luo Xianglong, Ye Tianlang, Bai Yu, and Nu Futian advanced to the second round.

Even though Bai Yu lost one match, she won her other two matches which allowed her to advance to the next round.

Yun Yao dominated her opponents with her orange lightning, throwing it towards her opponent mercilessly. Winning the other two fights within seconds.

Yun Weizhi won his other fights using his Stormbreaker to throw away his opponents out of the ring. That also made the others think that he is doing his best to not used his move to instantly dodge.

Chu Xinghe only used one move to cut off the limbs of his opponents, winning the battle in an instant.

Luo Xianglong used his overwhelming strength to his advantage and defeated his opponents with his strength. No one was able to block one of his attacks which made the crowd think he had infinite strength.

Ye Tianlang used wild attacks to defeat his opponents. Like a wolf, he charges his opponents without any hesitation, unafraid of getting hurt.

Bai Yu used her exaggerated spear to defeat her opponents gracefully, just like a beautiful work of art. She strikes like a raged dragon who got its territory invaded with treasure hunters.

Nu Futian used his mysterious technique which made him move at fast speed. He is known as the fastest participant in the competition aside from Yun Weizhi's instant movement technique.

It was now time for the second round to start, the Battle Royale, the remaining participants which are about 100 participants exactly, will be divided into four groups where they will fight until the last one remains.

It will be randomly chosen who will be in each ring. After a few hours of given rest and choosing who will be in each ring, the host has finally announced it.

First Ring – North Ring: Yun Weizhi, Nu Futian….

Second Ring – East Ring: Luo Xianglong, Bai Yu….

Third Ring – South Ring: Ye Tianlang…

Fourth Ring – West Ring: Chu Xinghe, Yun Yao…

Yun Weizhi will be at the North Ring where the only opponent he had to watch out for is Nu Futian, though he will not really pose a threat to him since Yun Weizhi is just feigning his weakness.

Bai Yu will be against Luo Xinglong, Yun Weizhi knows that she won't have any problems winning her fight. But Yun Weizhi is not sure if Bai Yu even wants to win this competition, he felt like that she is only participating to find something.

Ye Tianlang will have a smooth sailing towards the third round as there are no notable people in his ring. His fight will be the least anticipated there is.

The fight which will be the focus will be the fight between Yun Yao and Chu Xinghe, the two who were considered to be on equal grounds. People are curious to see how will Yun Yao fight Chu Xinghe.

Yun Weizhi is also curious as to who is stronger, Yun Yao or Chu Xinghe. He can feel that Chu Xinghe is at the 4th layer Body Refinement Realm while Yun Yao is just at the 2nd layer Body Refinement Realm.

She may have been able to defeat Bai Chi who was also at the 4th layer, but Bai Chi is only an average cultivator, Chu Xinghe is different as he is known as a genius cultivator who can fight cultivators a level above him.

Yun Weizhi had trained her, but that is still not enough for her to defeat Chu Xinghe as he had only taught her for three days. He is not some kind of miracle maker that could make her defeat Chu Xinghe with just three days of training.

"Everyone, please get on your respective rings, the second round is about to start." The host announced as he leads the participants to their respective rings.

"Good luck on your fight Big brother Zhi." Yun Yao said as she runs towards her designated ring. She may look like she didn't care about it, but deep inside, she is really nervous about her fight.

Yun Weizhi caught her hand as he embraced her and kissed her forehead, he smiled at her dazed expression, "Just do your best, okay?"

"Un!" Yun Yao nodded.
