How to Cultivate a Game

Bi Yuan was introduced to the art of setting up 'better' traps which used baits and terrain camouflage. It was not a difficult lesson. 

The white ape was generous. He rewarded sacred knowledge to the little bunny. For this, Bi Yuan was thankful. She was also imparted with martial arts that suited her small body. She did not understand what it meant to have a special class though. It didn't matter to her as it was still under process.

"Your Special Class had to wait. I don't know how to exactly explain, but the internet was kind of slow..." The White Ape alluded.

Bi Yuan didn't bother anymore. She was plenty happy with what she got. The Basic Bunny Combat seemed pretty useful! They were too simple a movement for a martial art, but Bi Yuan believed this Basic Bunny Combat Art was enough to elevate her strength further!

From Level 0, she was now at Level 7!

Bi Yuan happily watched her level grow as she set up traps made of vines around the forests with berries as bait. She also applied her new knowledge of how to fake the trap as natural terrain with little effort. She ran around the Butterberry Forest, leaving traps at favorable locations where wild chickens are likely to pass through.

When it was past afternoon, she patrolled around the area where she left her traps. She watched the dumb chicken caught in her trap flailing, its chicken feet were seized by the vines. "Kyu!" Bi Yuan killed the wild chicken with more efficiency this time by stabbing it with a sharp twig. With her nimble paws, she was able to use the twig with finesse.

Bi Yuan repeated this every day!

She was even able to prevail against a feisty fox that almost killed her. The fox was so dumb though-- it was caught in the trap twice! She had fought with a fox before, but the fox she fought this time was bigger! But there was no use in being big if it was dumb!

"Kyu!" Bi Yuan was excited at the prospect of a higher Experience Points reward from a tougher enemy. She had realized the advantages of slaying enemy creatures in comparison to simply doing quests! There are advantages to quests too, but Bi Yuan is more inclined to a high-risk high-reward kind of job. 

The fox's foot got entangled with a vine. Though it was able to extricate itself with its strength, it fell again from the same trap just adjacent to the trap it fell from which was stupid! And unlucky!

Unlucky for the fox, but lucky for Bi Yuan.

Bi Yuan didn't even need to engage the fox. She defeated the beast by masterfully wielding her twig like a spear. She used her Basic Bunny Combat knowledge, utilizing her legs and movement to a full degree.

Ping! Bi Yuan needed a breakthrough!

The system told her in its same boring electronic voice.

A mixture of happiness and disappointment filled Bi Yuan's heart.

She sullenly returned to the white ape's cave. She wanted to ask for the white ape's guidance, and it was only then that Bi Yuan realized that she could not 'talk'...

Among the many animals she encountered, they were able to communicate their emotions quite easily... She was able to communicate with the white ape with the same method, however, this method had limited use because of the lack thereof vocabulary. In Bi Yuan's case, if she wanted to ask something as specific as the 'system', she would need more than growling and chirping.

Simply put, Bi Yuan lacked the method to freely communicate. Though she shared a special connection with the white ape, she found it too difficult to convey her problems with her limited vocabulary.

When she returned to the white ape's cave abode, her beady eyes implored the white ape for guidance.

"Kyaah... You are so cute, stop staring at me like that."

"Kyah... Cuteness destructive ×100."

"Just wait, Yuan'er... You need to wait a little more. The power-up was on its way."

"It was still updating on your System, so please be patient!"

The white ape spoke to Bi Yuan with a gentle voice. She seemed to grasp the meaning of the white ape's words.

For the past few days, the white ape mostly cradled her with his thin and frail arms. Bi Yuan greatly enjoyed the white ape's praises and touch. The belly rubs in particular were heavenly. In the coming days, Bi Yuan stayed with the White Ape. Together, they waited for the Special Class to finally assimilate with Bi Yuan's system.

And finally, the long-awaited day came.

"It was time! This was your reward, Yuan'er."

The little bunny perked her ears at the white ape's words.

'Yes.' Bi Yuan sent her intentions to the system. White light infused her being. It felt painful at first, but it suddenly became rejuvenating. Another growth in her soul had taken effect! She was reborn a second time! The Paladin Bunny!

"This was not where the rewards end." The White Ape carried the little bunny to a certain corner. Within the White Ape's cave abode were hidden treasures accumulated through time. At first glance, they looked humble, but everything within the Cave Abode was special in its own right.

The White Ape bit his thumb and then pinched a drop of blood for the mystical wooden chest to absorb.

There, an enchanted chest filled with weapons was revealed. Golden lights suffused the surroundings, and shapes of different weapons drifted in the air.

"Choose," The white ape spoke, and the little bunny nodded.

Bi Yuan carefully scanned the spiritual artifacts. Their sizes may be incompatible with hers, but they were still spiritual artifacts. They were treasures possessed with great potential for housing the wielders' martial spirits that could aid her cultivation and leveling up in the future! 

With her raw stats, Bi Yuan would not be able to wield most of them. However, there was still a lot of powerful treasure she could use even with her level. Weapons that weren't previously owned. This was what Bi Yuan was looking for.

The Untouched, a weapon lacking any mental imprint. This meant that weapons that had not seen blood yet! 

Bi Yuan did not lack too much cultivation knowledge thanks to the sacred knowledge the White Ape had bestowed upon her. That is how she had the known of the Untouched! In terms of analogy if compared to humans, the Untouched ran in parallel with the meaning of Chastity. But instead of women, it was weapons.

And there, it caught her eye.

Its silver surface was sleek. Its shaft was tough. And it had three pointy blades on the top like a harpoon.

Bi Yuan fell in love at first sight with the majestic weapon.
