We will be deciding your matches by drawing these folded cards which will give you a number, come don't be shy and just stay cool" Samui called over the shinobis to pull their lots, by the time it was Yuuma's turn to draw he got the number '28' which meant he would have to wait for a while before he will have his chance, his opponent was a Kumogakure Ninja by the name Kagetane Inoue and his speciality was lightning release.

Tomotoki drew the number 2, and his luck was shining on him since he managed to match up against the sole Iwagakure ninja Taneaki Kiyooka. Mina had quite a horrible luck as she managed to draw number 15 which put her up against Kabuto as her opponent. When everyone was done pulling their numbers Samui nodded while muttering in an inaudible voice "Cool", when she handed over the small box where the cards were placed in before to another ninja she turned to face the students "Now then let's start!" Samui announced

Upon the announcement, the centre of the hall began to rise while white borders appeared at the edges, "Now then, can the first two shinobis appear on the arena" Samui called out which prompted both Tomotoki of Kirigakure and Taneaki from Iwagakure to arrive in their respective position prepared for them on the Arena. 'Water vs Earth huh?' Samui was quite interested in the matchup as she raises her hand before swinging it downwards "BEGIN!"

Taneaki weaved his hands swiftly while Tomotoki pulled his sword from his sheat before sprinting, "Earth Release: Rock Throw Technique" Suddenly a rock the size of a fist flew towards Tomotoki prompting him to dodge while Taneaki took this chance to prepare his next jutsu but Tomotoki was already onto him. But a smirk formed on Taneaki's face as he submerged into the ground before Tomotoki could slash at him with the blunt edge of his sword, "Earth Release: Earth Military Movement Technique"

Tomotoki snorted as he weaved his hand seals "Water Release: Water Gun" He started to spurt out water from his mouth to wettens the surrounding arena as he kept his guard up waiting for Taeneki to emerge, with a soft whisper Tomotoki unleashed another water jutsu the moment Taneaki erupted from the ground "Water Style: Water Clone Jutsu!" This caused Taneaki's surprise attack to hit the clone, 'Damn' Taneaki cursed in his mind not taking into consideration that Tomotoki would spread water on the arena for the sake of creating a clone.

Tomotoki took the opening he had gained as he leaps towards Taneaki who was in the air slamming the back end of his sword into the gut of Taneaki, upon contact Taneaki made a strange sound before he was launched out of the arena prompting Samui to stop the match. "Tomotoki of Kirigakure has won the round" Samui announced while Medical Nins of Kumogakure began to pick up Taneaki who glanced at Tomotoki with a trace of respect before being carried away.

The next round was two Konoha shinobis against one another, by the time it was time for Mina to have her match Kabuto raised his hands "I give up" He declared causing Samui to glare in his direction, even Orochimaru was surprised as he did not expect for Kabuto to choose this girl as his next host. When he glances at Mina his eyes slits became visible for a moment before returning to normal pupils, "Why did you not give up when we gave you the chance?" Samui asked

"That girl is a Medical Nin, you tell me? There is nothing more dangerous than facing someone who can torture you without killing you since it is not against the rules. I rather give up" Kabuto muttered causing the surrounding shinobis to talk with one another.

"Is she that dangerous?"

"I better be serious from the get-go"

Although it may appear like Kabuto complimented her, but Yuuma could see the eyes became different when they look at Mina as if she was powerful although Yuuma knew she was skilled but not to the degree to warrant such attention. 'He did it on purpose, what for?' Yuuma thought while glancing at Kabuto who left with a carefree smile, Tomotoki went to congratulate Mina but the latter was confused at the atmosphere.

"What's the matter, Mina?" Tomotoki asked while Mina shook her head to indicate that everything was fine, but it really wasn't as Tomotoki could feel her hands were a bit sweaty. Yuuma glances at his two teammates, although he did say they will go their separate ways he still did not like the idea of shinobis from his village was being bullied. 'I will teach them a lesson' Yuuma thought while heading up to the arena when it was finally his turn for combat.

Kagetane was an average height boy at the age of 12, he had white short hair gelled in a mohawk style with his sharp-looking eyes making him appear to look more like a classic delinquent, he wore the standard Kumo Outfit with fingerless gauntlets instead of bracer guards for his fists. When Kagetane glances at Yuuma.

Yuuma was wearing his signature dark brown camo shinobi outfit and flak jacket with brown boots, his face is covered with the yellow scarf revealing only his odd light blue eyes with barely visible pupils and his short brown hair. Attached to his back was his dual Kiba swords which signified him as a Swordsman of the Mist and a thick large scroll attached at his lower back which is the contract scroll for the white tigers, at the side of his right t.h.i.g.h was his pouch filled with shurikens and at both sides of his waists were pouches which held his kunais on the right and the warp kunais on the left. He wore black coloured shin guards and black fingerless gauntlets over his arms.

Yuuma thought of attending the exam while wearing his usual outfit he will be doing combat in so he could start to get used to having all the things attached to his body, Kagetane brow furrowed as he only realized that his opponent was a young brat, "Hmph! You are so young, you should head back home and drink more of your mother's milk... Just how low will Kirigakure go to make a brat like you a swordsman of the mist? Such low standards"

The surrounding Kumo shinobis who passed began to laugh, although Samui did not like what was happening but she did not want to reprimand her own shinobi to stand up for a foreigner. Kagetane realized that Samui would not get involved so he continued "How about this I will only use one hand for you since I don't want to bully you" Yuuma chuckled before breaking out in a burst of hysterical laughter before glancing at Kagetane with a smile that caused his back to shiver unknowingly.

"I suggest you come at me with the intention to kill... If you wish to survive that is" Yuuma spoke with a soft yet clear voice which was enough to alert Samui, 'This Domineering Confidence, this boy is not normal... He must have experienced killing from an early age to have such eyes' She thought before glancing at Kagetane who did not notice his hands were a bit sweaty despite his arrogant smiling face.

Samui raised her hand in the air before slashing it down "Begin!" Hearing this Kagetane used his chakra to cloak his fists with lightning "Lightning Release: Shocking hands" But before he could start his assault Yuuma was already in front of him using Body Flicker movement which alerted the jounins of varies Villages as this speed reminded them of a certain ninja who also achieved this speed as well at a young age.

"Ryū kumiawase kōgeki: Ryū Kiba" Yuuma appeared in front of Kagetane slamming his fist into his abdomen to interrupt his jutsu, "Guah" Kagetane spit out a small part of his breakfast while feeling a strong blow dealt against his stomach which would have already launched him out of the ring but Yuuma held his wrist with his left hand firmly preventing it.

"Ryū kumiawase kōgeki: Ryū Nage" Yuuma grip the collar near Kagetane's throat before f.o.r.c.i.b.l.y lifting Kagetane in the air performing a shoulder throw, slamming him into the ground. "ARRRRRHAHAHAAAAAA!!" The sound of something cracking could be heard as Kagetane began to scream out in pain, Yuuma had a cramped face thinking this kid is way too weak.

'I still have like four combos after this and this kid is already screaming like I am slaughtering him' Yuuma thought as he pulls Kagetane by his hair up before giving him a chop behind his head accurately to knock him unconscious. Yuuma stood up looking at Samui who had a complicated face looking into the eyes of Yuuma, she knew Yuuma shown mercy for Kagetane but his ruthless move nearly disabled him.

"Oh, so this is the new replacement member for the Kirigakure team?" One of the Jounins from Konoha was looking at this scene not the least bit bothered about how Yuuma almost disabled his opponent, "Tsk Tsk, he still gave Kumogakure some face since it is their home grounds" a Jounin from Iwagakure snorted feeling quite irritated at how his student lost against a Kiri genin so he hoped Yuuma would cause trouble for himself.

From a private observation room, "B, what do you think of this boy?" a dark skin with a large muscular build, white hair combed back, a small moustache and goatee. The very same Rapper that welcomed the genins who passed the second phase of the exam glances at Yuuma feeling quite complicated at how this boy handled a Kumo shinobi. "He is decisive and strong" Killer B spoke normally this time since it was a serious question.

"Should we kill him?" A questioned this but another advisor stopped him, "Raikage, if we touch that boy we will restart another war, we barely recovered from our past expeditions" Hearing this A sighed thinking that it was a problem, he had an urge to kill this boy who displayed such impressive talent but his village was more important so he would let Yuuma go for now unless he has no other choice.

Back at the Arena the genins were all focusing on Yuuma instead of Mina.

"He's strong"

"Is he really a genin?"

But among the jounins, they began to speculate that Yuuma could possibly be a jinchuriki. Ao and Kiyo were both quite vigilant towards their surroundings, Ao was quite proud at his disciple who stood up for his fellow shinobis but he could have done it better. 'I will have to watch the Raikage's movements from now on, he is the one who tends to go back on his words and act like it's all for the good of his village' Ao thought

"With this, the Preliminary has been concluded! The final examination for the Chunin exam will take place two weeks from now within Kumogakure, Cool?" Samui announced the end of the Preliminary rounds for the Chunin exams, Yuuma went over to Tomotoki and Mina. "Congratulations on passing" Yuuma muttered, Mina bowed towards him "Thank you" Yuuma nodded at Mina 'Seems she realized why she was bothered' He thought

"But man you sure injure that genin quite badly" Tomotoki mentioned while glancing how the Medical Nins of Kumo was rushing to take Kagetane away for Medical care, Yuuma shrugged "I warned him to be serious, that is the price for underestimating your opponent in the Shinobi world" Hearing Yuuma's words a surprised voice could be heard "Oh, so you speak as if you experienced it before"

Both Tomotoki and Mina had pale faces, just from this Yuuma could already guess whoever was talking to him must be from a high standing. When he turned around he was confronted by a large dark skin muscular man wearing the Raikage haori, his white hair is neatly combed backwards while his eyes were sizing Yuuma up, Yuuma did not bow but instead cup his fist "It's an honour to meet the Raikage in flesh"

Hearing Yuuma's greeting A did not respond immediately but seeing the boy was not bowing towards him, his eyes became curious "I see you had taught one of our genins a lesson" When Yuuma heard A's question he knew the Raikage was here to determine if he is here to cause trouble or attend the exam, "We are shinobis where the first lesson we are taught to never underestimate our opponents regardless of how their look, age or origin. The fact I warned him already counted against me as a Shinobi but I still did this to give Kumo face, as I did not want to cause trouble but simply pass the exam"

When A heard Yuuma's answer his urge to kill diminished slowly, 'Well he did not kill the genin nor disabled him, it should be a good lesson for Kagetane to learn from his mistakes' A nodded at Yuuma before leaving, "Why did the Raikage come to specifically ask you this?" Tomotoki asked after he regained his composure, "Probably because he deemed me dangerous from my attacks and wanted to determine my intentions for this exams, young genins are the future of the villages after all" Yuuma muttered before following the crowd out of the facility down the stairs where they arrived at the hidden door at the side of the mountain base.
