Chapter 328- Family Reunion

“Alright, let’s go home.”

“Sure.”

We teleported to a wooded area near the city that would be empty of people. From there we walked toward the city.

“Zeros-sama, Sophia-sama. We’ve heard from the lord. Please come this way.”

When Sophie and I entered the town through the gate, the gatekeeper, who must have heard we were coming, guided us to a carriage belonging to the Adolfo family.

Apparently, they knew we weren’t coming by carriage.

The town hadn’t been razed to the ground, thanks to the fact that I had killed all the orcs that came my way. The town was bustling as usual…well, even more so than usual.

“Welcome home. The master is waiting for you in the living room.”

The maid told us to go to the living room where our father and the others were waiting for us.

“I’m back.”

I opened the door a little nervously.

“I’m so glad you two are here! You two look as chummy and energetic as ever!”

When we entered the living room, we found my father with the same tension as usual, wearing an eye patch.

“Welcome home. Zero and Sophie, it looks as though you’re hardly resting. Go ahead and relax until the party starts.”

Then, Mother, who had gracefully put down the teacup she had been sipping from, followed Father and said so.

“Where are Andrei niisama and Judson niisama?”

Father and Mother were the only ones in the living room.

“If you’re asking of those two…”

“Welcome back, both of you. I’m sorry. I’ve been so busy with my research that I didn’t realize you were home until later.”

Judson-niisama appeared in a white lab coat, looking like a researcher.

“I think Andrei-niisama will probably be here soon, too.”

I laughed at everyone’s exchange. I felt like an idiot for nervously entering the living room. My family was as lively and cheerful as usual, not like nobles, even after all that happened.

After that, we enjoyed our first family reunion in a long time.

I am enjoying a bath for the first time in a long time. I can use the magic clean to cleanse my body, but sometimes I want to take a long soak in the bathtub because I’m a former Japanese.

“Zero, I’m coming in.”

“Oh, come in!”

As I was soaking in the bathtub, my brother Andrei came into the bath. The bathtub in my house is so big that even if ten people were in it, it wouldn’t be a problem, so it wouldn’t be cramped at all with just one Andrei.
