The Name of This Emotion I Don’t Yet Know

“Theo gave this to me as a thank you for teaching Erica magic, and it doesn’t have any deep meaning….”

“So, Nina was looking for a man for a casual relationship.”

“Please wait, really.”

If I wasn’t careful, the story would go too far in the wrong direction.

Then, as I frantically continued my explanation, I was deeply relieved that Alvin-sama seemed to be convinced somehow.

“Then we don’t need this list anymore, do we?”

“Ah, ye─”

Before I could reply “yes,” the paper in Alvin-sama’s hand instantly burned violently and turned to ashes.

“I know there’s one for Nina, too. I’ll dispose of it for you.”

“N-No, I will definitely get rid of it myself.”

“Is that so? Then that’s fine.”

If I didn’t get rid of them as soon as possible, the men on that list would be in danger, so I would make sure to throw them away later.

Anyway, relieved that the misunderstanding was cleared up, I turned my back to Alvin-sama and resumed preparing the tea.

The water had gone cold, and as I was reheating it, Alvin-sama, who had somehow come to my side, suddenly hugged me tightly from behind.

He put his arms around my stomach and rested his chin on my shoulder. My heart was pounding so suddenly that it was a miracle I didn’t drop my teacup on the floor.

“I want to know what type Nina really likes.”

“N-Nothing in particular.”

“Not even a little bit? How about my face and personality?”

“Alvin-sama is really, really good enough just the way he is.”

Personality aside, how was it possible to face him? Alvin-sama was perfect. He maybe had some occasional troubling remarks, but he was more beautiful, kinder, and nicer than anyone else.

“Then, how can I get you to like me?”

“Eh?”

“I thought it would be fine just to see you again, but when I’m with Nina, I’m getting more and more selfish.”

His voice was so earnest that I could feel the strength in his arms around my body.

“What should I do? I’ve never fallen in love with someone other than you, so I don’t know what to do anymore.”

“….”

I was no less a beginner in love than Alvin-sama. So, there was no way I would know the answer to that question. In the first place, what do I think of Alvin-sama? What do I want to do with him?

I suddenly remembered him in the past.

“I’m not interested in the Saintess. Do as you please.”

“Don’t get too involved with me.”

“If that’s how you lose your life, then that’s the end of your existence.”

Thinking about it again, there was a huge difference in attitude. It was like he was a different person.

If I showed my past self the Alvin-sama from back then and now, I bet we would both have a hard time keeping our mouths close.

I couldn’t help but giggle, and Alvin-sama let out a sulking voice, “Why are you laughing?”.

“I’m sorry. It’s just, things have changed so much.”

“I was really crazy back then. Please don’t remind me of that time. I’m afraid you’ll hate me.”

“I don’t hate you.”

Alvin-sama seemed to be a little frantic, but even Lara and the others were like that in the beginning. I didn’t mind at all.

“But I’m glad I was able to come back to this world. I was able to see everyone again and get to know Alvin-sama better than before.”

“…. Thank you.”

When I told him so, for some reason Alvin-sama had a troubled look on his face.

I was puzzled, but opened my mouth again, “Ah.”

“Come to think of it, that day you said you wanted to talk to me alone.”

“…. Yeah.”

“What did you want to talk about?”

Hearing my words, Alvin-sama nostalgically narrowed his eyes.

“… Ah, that’s right… Can you give me some time tonight? I’d like to talk to Nina alone.”

That’s what he said on the day I was killed by that man and returned to my original world. Alvin-sama’s arms loosened around me, and I gently slipped out of his embrace to face him.

“I was going to confess my feelings to Nina that day.”
