Immortal Sword Artist

Chapter 15 - Mortal Realm

It immediately unwrapped itself from Xiao wan's body but the intense energy oozing out if Xiao wan's body still kept his body afloat for a few more seconds before allowing him to land gently on the ground.

His eyes opened and he expected to be in heaven by now to receive judgement. However his expectations were betrayed and he was still alive and kicking on this planet. He examined his body but it was porcelain white with no single scar and he was caught by surprise but he was n.a.k.e.d and needed to find some covering. He knew that his recovery was related to the spirit fountain and he bowed respectfully with no ill thought's.

The spirit fountain shook a little in recognition of Xiao wan's gesture. His clothes were destroyed during the explosion.

He had finally reached the mortal realm, he had achieved the short term goal for the previous Xiao wan even though his own goal was much more than this but as they have fused together they have now become one.

He broke through to the initial stages if the mortal realm because his will to live and grow stronger was high and it stimulated the dormant potential in his body and started being his body st an extremely slow pace due to the severity of the injury caused to his body but with the aid of the spirit fountain his recovery speed was greatly accelerated.

He was previously at the the mid stage of the eighth level of the profound qi realm but as his potential got unleashed and his talent kept on growing he managed to be able to instantly breach the gap of one realm and forcefully make his way I to the mortal realm.

'I would be able to get more resources from the sect when I return and become an inner court disciple', thought Xiao wan while doing some exercise he was taught on earth to relax his tensed up nerves. His body was still in an alert state because of his previous injuries.

After that he changed into a long befitting green robe he found in the storage ring, it made him look like an ancient monk that has been alive for hundreds upon hundreds of years.

.....

....

In the sect when a disciple has reached the mortal realm he or she was eligible to take the exams for the inner court disciples.

He sat down to consolidate his cultivation because if his foundation is not strong he was not going to become strong. It was only by continuous tempering of the body could one solidify his or her foundation.

He had spent the whole day just by consolidating his cultivation and he had finally settled himself at the initial stage of the mortal realm.

He ran towards the entrance of the cave with a speed of 12-meters per second but this left his meridians burning slightly causing him some pain. The pain was because he was not used to such powerful genuine qi and he slowed down considerably till the pain eased up and exploded with speed again and a wave of pain appeared once again and he repeated this act for a few times till he was a little used to it.

He arrived at the entrance of the cave in three minutes and he jumped towards the water but hr hit the defensive array and he retreated in shock.

'what could have happened while I was unconscious, could I have been trapped here never to...', Xiao wan was thinking but was interrupted buy a resounding voice in his head.

"Do not be agitated boy, it's only the defensive formation that was activated because of the explosion", said an old raspy but kind voice in his head.

"Senior pls identify yourselves as this lowly one can't see or find you", said Xiao wan while using his spiritual sense to scan a radius of ten meters of his environment. The spiritual sense was another ability that came with the breakthrough of the mortal realm.

"I'm right behind you but it's only natural that you won't be able to find me as your current cultivation is too low but in the future you would be able to find my existence by just staying near the river bank", said the old voice once again in his head after a moment of silence.

Intuition told him that it was the spirit fountain that was speaking and he decided to test it out if his intuition was correct or wrong.

He turned towards the spirit fountain and bowed saying, "This lowly one didn't recognize this high and mighty senior". And it turned out that he was right.

"You may have been correct with your guess youngster but you must not trust anybody not even your family members as they can back stab you for the sake of their own selfish interest and need. I could have killed you just for the sake of you intruding my space but you managed to open that independent dimension created by that saint and this surprised me greatly and even your comprehension speed is great in accordance to the difficult-to-understand 'Sky shattering sword art'. Remember it took that saint three and a half months of continuous reading and practicing before understanding one-tenth of the sword art", said the spirit fountain with an even more friendly tone and a hint of respect in it.

Xiao wan was surprised not because he guessed rightly as there are many more shocking findings he would get to know in the future but because of what the spirit fountain said about his comprehension speed.

He bowed even lower this time around with more respect this time.

"This lowly one understands, dear respectable senior", Xiao wan said in a tone neither arrogant nor humble this time around.

"I like your fearless and humble character but you mustn't be humble towards some people that are more powerful than you that just kill without reason. Now just come toward and the information on how to open the defensive formation will appear in your head", replied the spirit fountain while forming a hand made of pure spiritual qi.

Xiao wan did as he was told without uttering a single word.

He reached the front of the spirit fountain and stood straight like an unmovable mountain. The hand stretched forth and touched his forehead and information started appearing in his Qi domain and started imprinting themselves in it.
