Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 13 - Marc Raizen's Plot

Chapter Six - Marc Raizen's Plot part 1

Amenophis was absolutely furious, and Lucky Riot could feel it exceptionally clear. The feeling transmitted through his soul, exposing the fact that the dragon shadow had begun to fuse into his soul's ethereal matter! Unfortunately, Lucky Riot wasn't privy to what any of this meant. All he knew only that the dragon shadow grew chaotic and indistinct at this moment. Even Lucky's blood that had finally fallen under his control started to boil uncontrollably once more, all due to the Amenophis' agitation. This wasn't something Lucky was willing to allow, so he quickly tried to pacify the enraged dragon shadow.

His intention had better results than he anticipated, as Amenophis immediately stopped raging and only brooded. However, after the shadow finally calmed down, Lucky's next question nearly riled it back up.

"So you know about my step-father?" Asked Lucky Riot innocently. He immediately felt Amenophis' rage return at half-force.

"Step-father, hmph! That slimy abyssal bastard. He thinks he can get away with perjury and kidnapping," Amenophis sounded thoroughly disgusted and dismissive of the title 'step-father.' "I have seen your memories through your soul. This filth is far more disgusting then I could have imagined. You likely do not even realize the depths of his treachery.

"You do not even understand the scents you have registered. The young are naive by nature and ignorant by design. If your father knew half of this, he would likely return from the grave early to obliterate this entire realm. It is disgusting to remember that Marc Raizen is the reason your father was plotted against and ultimately destroyed! And poor Mistress Kiya…how truly sad for my brother. How truly unfortunate. Meno initially bade me let you discover many things on your own. With Marc Raizen so deeply entrenched in this world, I can no longer follow my brother's wishes. You must be made aware of your enemy. No, it is far past time that you learned of the truth."

Amenophis' following words blew Lucky's head wide open. Marc Raizen… was the reason his father was captured and imprisoned? His father was… framed by the man who 'rescued' and married his mother? Did she know about this or…? The shadow's description of Marc Raizen could only be described as bleak. According to Amenophis, Marc Raizen is also the leader of the most nefarious underworld army in the Dark Tyrant Star System. If that didn't shock Lucky enough, Marc is also the nephew of one of the eight Pharaoh Gods of the Abyssals. Whatever that status signified Lucky surely he didn't know. However, anything described as a Pharaoh God could only be extraordinary.

Abyssals and different worlds?

Pharaoh Gods and conspiracies?

This was a lot to take in. Lucky was aware of magic and superpowers existing in this world, but aliens and monsters from the abyss? This was a new level of intimidating. Somehow Lucky could only feel the excitement rising in his heart when he thought things through. This gave him a headache and baffled him inwardly.

At any rate, these maniacal killers were said to have a wide range of abilities on such a level that Lucky simply couldn't fathom it. The shadow's ramblings sounded mostly like gibberish to him. However, Lucky managed to comprehend that the world he lived in was within the hidden Kemet Divine Star System.

"What's a star system?" asked Lucky to the dragon shadow.

"The world you are in is not as primitive as it appears. With your personality, it's still better to let you discover such things on your own. If you command me to tell you I will still do so," responded Amenophis. Lucky Riot was starting to get accustomed to the way this dragon shadow did things. He found himself fond of the idea of learning only what benefitted him unless he d.e.s.i.r.ed otherwise. He nodded, and the story continued as before.

The Dark Abyssal prince Marc Raizen had apparently been in competition for the crown of his race. Thus, the villain was tasked with recovering information about some top-secret experiments that Lucky's father pioneered. After that, Marc was supposed to replicate the results for their abyssal race. The leading scientist and main contributor on the top-secret project was none other than its creator, Lucky's old man, Meno Riot!

Under the guise of magical researcher Alphonse Bazaar, Marc Raizen infiltrated the team and was there for years under a false identity. However, before long Meno's intelligence agents caught wind of it. Merely, by then Alphonse Bazaar had already swiftly worked his way into the core experimental team and became sworn brothers with Meno Riot.

One could only say that his acting skills were top notch.

"Alphonse Bazaar, huh… interesting…" Lucky Riot had a sudden suspicion in his heart as he glanced at his friends. However, he quickly put this out of his mind.

Once Lucky's father discovered the truth about the abyssals, he immediately took actions against Alphonse, or rather Marc Raizen. However, by then Marc had already successfully stolen all the data he needed and escaped. On the very next day, there was an audit performed in the laboratory. This conveniently timed audit resulted in Meno being arrested by some super organization called the Divine Punishment Stars. Meno Riot was accused of sabotaging the experiment and labeled as the enemy of the two superpowers that were sponsoring the project.

One of which was the leading clan of Meno's own race, the Primal Divine Riot clan!

Meno Riot's wife and Lucky's mother, Kiya Prozen, is someone intimately involved with the experiment. She was to be put to death due to the compromise, as the operation could no longer be trusted. Left without alternative action, Kiya Prozen fled and escape with a close associate of her father, whom she once had shared an ambiguous relationship with before being courted by Meno Riot. However, who would have imaged that this close friend would turn out to be the undisguised Marc Raizen. Not only that, but Kiya Prozen had no way of knowing that this man was precisely the Alphonse Bazaar that was previously working with Meno.

Kiya Prozen knew he was an abyssal, but as a mixed-blood of the Novarie clans, she had never judged others by their bloodline. Only by their merit. Marc simply never gave her a reason to be suspicious of his motives.

However, after Meno discovered this new information, he was attacked in jail! Someone among the assailers managed to seal Amenophis, who remained sealed for five years. Five years later he was awoken by the Meno Riot who had escaped incarceration and improved his competence dramatically! It was an increase of three ranks. However, at that time, he faced severe injury! Amenophis remembered being reasonably shocked at that time.

Going from a Rank 9 bloodline to a Rank 11 bloodline was apparently extremely hard to do. To do so in five years naturally seemed impossible. Amenophis spoke confidently that Meno Riot must have paid a high price for this new strength.

That price likely led to his demise.

The pair searched for Kiya for two years. Still, when they finally found her, Marc Raizen discovered them before they had a chance to finish their preparations. Amenophis and Meno were surrounded by twelve high ranking abyssals and Marc Raizen himself. After a fierce exchange, Meno Riot was fatally wounded. He escaped by luck and was forced to flee to a stray city far away from Marc Raizen. One that he crash-landed on during the past, making his own legend there. However, it was on that same day after fleeing from Marc Raaen that he felt a weak bloodline connection within range.

That was the day he found Lucky Riot.

"I do not have all of the details as of now," said Amenophis slowly, having calmed down a great deal after his long story. "Due to my previous sealing, many things remain unclear. I had not recovered sufficiently by the time we were ambushed. I will never return to my peak strength on my own.

Moreover, that Marc Raizen certainly has something plotted against your mother. This man is a scourge to our family, a total menace! He is a master of disguise who has fooled your mother completely. With his devious means that know no bounds, there's no telling what he had in store. Kiya is in danger.

You must be cautious around this man. I absolutely mean it, you must be careful. I kept you asleep for a year for precisely this reason. I see that you go home annually. Unlike the fallen hero race, which m.a.t.u.r.es at 14 or 15, sixteen is the age of maturity in most divine families. It is the age where your lifeblood powers will start to manifest.

I absolutely could not allow your special bloodline to awaken in his presence. That would only spell your death. Perhaps he has kept you alive so far, only to test your bloodline once before killing you. I believe there's something he knows that I don't. There are also things I have reasoned from your memories that I should not tell you."

Amenophis sounded very serious as he finished speaking. One had to admit, he was quite forthright when he spoke.

Lucky Riot kept quiet for a long time as he sorted out this sea of information he just received.

He compared this new knowledge with the information he had learned first hand. After fifteen full minutes of continuous thought, he concluded that he should believe the dragon shadow's side of the story. Something deep in his soul told him that Amenophis could no longer lie to him even if he d.e.s.i.r.ed to do so.

Lucky had always been aware that his step-father hated him, and Marc Raizen wasn't very nice to Lucky's older sister Meri either. At least, Meri Riot seemed to hate the man from the bottom of her soul even more so than her little brother. The latter always held suspicion toward this but didn't dare to ask twice after receiving a lashing for the first time asked. Anyway, the current Lucky didn't find it difficult to imagine this man was capable of such evils.

"Listen carefully, Kasino Shreya Riot, first of your name," Amenophis spoke solemnly, and Kasino Riot focused his thoughts on the dragon shadow's words. "You are not trash, nor are you are a waste, and by absolutely no means are you a being with average talent. If anything, your talent could only be described as the most incredible in this world. You are a Divine Draconian, a progenitor of my Divine Dragon Clan!"

"Those of the Draco Volos race have a much harder time filling up their energy, as you are well aware. The other side of that is that your ferocious bloodline can refine any natural treasures with relative ease. You are part human, and thus able to cultivate their dao paths. But it will be far more difficult for you to do so than the others. Taking things a step further, one-third of your bloodline comes from the Heavenly Novarie. Not even I can imagine the depths of their power.

"The energy within your body is easily ten times that of other creatures with Rank 1 lifeblood. After all, your mother is half-human, yet you still managed to perfectly inherit a sacred bone from her. Your potential can only be considered nothing less than outstanding. Once these Sacred Bones become active, your bloodline will likely transform completely.

"You have a longer lifespan than these humans by birthright, and you also possess divine blood! It is utterly pointless to compare yourself with them," Amenophis voice boomed and felt like it was thundering all throughout Lucky's body. "I will require some time before I can speak with you again. The enchantment on this space will fade in 48 hours from now. You all should return to school straight away."

"Wait, Grandmaster Amen!" Lucky Riot called out hastily, "What about my friends? When will they wake up? Do you know how we can get out of here? How am I supposed to explain my sudden increase in strength?"

"They will awaken in a couple of hours. You should speak with them at that time, for the situation is different from how you think. Tell the one coming to touch the wall. I do not like his scent, but I believe he is a valuable asset. Trust in your friends, and I do mean all of your friends. Keep yourself safe," as Amenophis finished speaking, his voice and presence started to fade until it was virtually nonexistent. Lucky, at the very least, became unable to detect the dragon shadow at all.
