Lucky Riot And The Mystic Dragon

Chapter 52 - Meno's Love

Time never waits for any man.

Before one could blink, two weeks had passed by in the advanced academy. During this time, Lucky Riot and his friends attended the advanced courses every day and cultivated every night. Lucky and Margot only had to go to class twice out of the week, and every other day they would learn directly from their professors. At night, Lucky would swallow a body strengthening tablet and refine its medicinal essence by operating his mental cultivation technique, the {Primal Madness Sacred Exercise}.

Of course, for Lucky, refining Rank 1 Body Strengthening Tablets felt like drops of rain falling into a dry lake. It wasn't helpful even if he refined all ten at once. To his increasing dismay, even the Rank 2 Body Strengthening Tablets he received from his bet with Sir Wale were like large pails of water tossed into that dry lake. It was a little better than the previous rank, but it remained inconsequential at the quantity he was allocated. Thankfully his professor told him that he would be significantly rewarded for completing an upcoming trial.

She also refused to train him seriously before he reached the Novice rank. This was her own trial for him.

In addition to cultivating, Scarlet Mercury had also spent a few nights with Lucky during this period. Even though the increase in strength only happened on the first night, Scarlet assumed it had something to do with Lucky's injuries from that time or perhaps the loss of his pure v.i.r.g.i.n essence. However, she didn't stop offering herself to him at all, nor did she intend too.

Lucky, on the other hand, was aware that what caused this was none other than his dragon essence! Or so he had gathered from what his professor had explained to him the other day.

"I have been relaxed in teaching you because I wanted to observe your innate nature now that you've awakened your lifeblood powers and inheritance bone…" Clear Sky wore sky blue robes, and her bearing was graceful, as she explained things to Lucky in his cultivation room a bit over a week ago.

Clear Sky's countenance was genuinely breathtaking. The first time Lucky saw this professor's real face was the year he graduated Thoth Elementary. When he had lost confidence in himself and fallen to depression for the first time in his life, a celestial fairy appeared before his eyes. She used her strange magic to show him a vision of the future. In this vision, he saw the back of a peerless expert, overlooking the world from the end of a cloud. Although the vision was short, the imprint it left on Lucky was eternal!

Not only that, but this was only the first time Lucky had seen that expert. After reminiscing these events, Lucky realized that expert was none other than Shreya Endless! Since Shreya and Lucky were one and the same, could the foundation of Shreya's time powers have come from Professor Clear Sky?

At that time, Clear Sky had told him that the man in his vision was himself. She had used an arcane art to show him one of his strings of fate. Lucky completely didn't understand any of her explanations, but he appreciated it all the same. After all, this meant that he would one day be fantastic!

It also during this time when Lucky learned that Professor Clear Sky was, in fact, Guru Majestic Nature. Merely, he did not know why this was a secret.

Her supreme beauty was unlike anything Lucky had seen before. However, he had already become mostly numb to it after seeing her so often over the years. Lucky listened stoically as Professor Clear Sky continued, "I'll be straight forward with you. Back when I first exposed my face to you, its because I knew of your potential already. Your father was a great man."

"My father?" asked the then-vermilion-robed Lucky Riot skeptically. Usually, when people said this, they were referring to his step-father, Marc Rizen. Also, his professor said his father 'was' a good man. In Lucky's opinion, this implied that his father was either no longer here or no longer good. He simply wasn't sure who she was referring too.

"Indeed," Clear Sky inclined her head a bit to look her apprentice in the eyes. Lucky was already a head taller than her. Her tone grew solemn, and her aura majestic. Lucky felt awed, but this wasn't the first time seeing his professor switch to her principal's demeanor. However, her next words made his brain explode, "I do not know what you have heard about Meno Riot. However, you should know that he and I were once…very close. Although this was a very long time ago…"

Lucky felt like a bomb had just landed on his brain. What was this now?

Clear Sky seemed to daze off for little more than a minute before resuming, "Meno Riot is the greatest hero of my generation. The day I met him, he was seriously injured, almost at the brink of death. I did all I could to nurse him back to health, but his condition wouldn't stabilize. Until one day, he woke up and… called me beautiful like an angel, wondering if he had truly died this time. He was… charming. He had the good looks of a deva or holy elf. It wasn't long at all before we became one. In fact, I didn't even make it through the end of the first day he was awake…"

"..." Lucky Riot was utterly speechless. He had no idea his professor was so intimate with his father and wasn't sure how to feel. He felt he should be enraged for his mother, but his interest in his father's life was finally piqued. This was the second time Lucky's bout of good fortune could be attributed to his father's experiences. Who knew the old guy got around so much?

Lucky used to believe his old man had never done anything for him. Lately, this was becoming more difficult to believe.

Looking at Lucky's indifferent face that looked like it wouldn't change even if the sky started falling, Professor Clear Sky was aware that the boy was likely internalizing all his reactions like his father used to do. Meno's poker face was near infallible. Clear Sky found it funny how they were so similar in spite of spending no time together at all. This was likely the nature of their species.

According to Meno, all Draconian men were not precisely capable of feeling certain emotions. At least, the amount of emotion they felt could not be compared to humans at all. Even if they were to actually feel these things, it wouldn't be in excess like humans. The only emotion they possessed on the level of humanity was anger. However, their rage far outstripped humanity in its intensity.

True Dragons were quick to anger, but it took a long time for them to commit to any other emotion.

Thus, Clear Sky had never once tried to read this boy's emotions from his face. She didn't need to anyway as she was powerful enough judge based on his mental activity. Lucky couldn't evade her ESP even if he knew how to use his own.

"Do you know why I could not resist that man?" asked Clear Sky indifferently, as she turned to stare Lucky in the eyes once more. Her vast ocean-like blue eyes appeared fragmented like crystal and formed a rather pretty contrast to her auburn hair. Lucky suddenly had an idea but shook his head anyway. Clear Sky continued after his response, "He was bold, imposing, domineering, and s.e.xy! These were definite factors. However, in truth, it was because of his innate ability. An ability that exists in every fiber of his being, even his soul. Something innate to all royalty among the divine. This power is something we now call glamour."

"Glamour?" Lucky eyes flashed with a strange light.

"Yes, glamour. Glamour is a gift that exists within the lifeblood of higher lifeforms. One could call it an innate ability, but it's a little different. The glamour gift allows us to manipulate bioelectric signals. With it, you can easily influence those with lower lifeforms," when Clear Sky spoke to here, she saw the light realization flash across Lucky's face. She smiled sweetly, "Humans can learn to use glamour from scratch if they cultivate their lifeform to a certain level, but for some races, their glamour is inbred and naturally powerful from their birth. Races such as the Divine Draconian race have particularly powerful glamour…"

"You even know about the Divine Draconians?!" how could Lucky Riot not be shocked at this? Amenophis told him to keep this a secret, yet his secret was seen through so quickly due to his father's promiscuity.

"I do… you and your father seem to share the same innate ability, the Ennead Chaos Gates," said Clear Sky sagely, enlightening young Lucky. "I remember the first gate is opened by peak level rage. You opened this gate recently. However, the backlash almost killed you."

Lucky nodded in total agreement. This was indeed true. In fact, he still feared that backlash. It would be a long time before he attempted to use that ability again.

"Professor, is there any way to prevent the backlash?"

"It is not my bloodline, so I can't be certain," replied Clear Sky with a frown, "However, during the backlash period if you were too… release the excess primal essence… then not only would you resolve the chaotic yang energy, but your realm will also benefit a lot as well from the yin and yang fusion. After all, you have the Universal Prime Veins, balanced laws like that will always benefit you greatly. More so probably than anyone else. You have no concept of how heaven-defying your body is."

"Is glamour the reason you didn't make it past the first night?" asked Lucky Riot sagely.

"It is, indeed," said Clear Sky with her face a bit flushed, enchanting Lucky momentarily. He suddenly respected his father a lot, this lady was just as beautiful as his own mother.

"Wow!" Lucky finally had confirmation on what was going on the other night. The backlash of primal essence! By performing yin and yang fusion, otherwise known as s.e.x, dual cultivating, or lovemaking, the backlash of primal essence is converted and refined into beneficial energy. That was so amazing! It would even benefit both parties. This was indeed a great way to gain strength.

As long as he had Margot and Scarlet, Lucky didn't need to be afraid of the backlash!

Lucky suddenly had thick battle intent surging in his eyes. This caused Clear Sky to sigh heavily. It seemed like she would need to become more domineering soon, or her disciple might get disrespected everywhere he went. This little punk Kasino Riot was far too bold.

"Professor, I have another question…" said Lucky as he explained the strange blood reaction during his fight with Young Savage.

"You simply seem to have some preliminary access to the innate ability I mentioned before. Honestly, your sacred bone looks nothing like your father's, and you even have two of them! You probably just aren't strong enough to control that ability yet," said Clear Sky making Lucky ponder, "This should be the ability I mentioned your father once had. There's also the matter of your Universal Prime Veins. The fantasy stone may have given me this name when I tested your aptitude, but I simply don't know what they are. However, the 'Prime' is proof of your Riot clan inheritance."

Lucky's eyes sparkled. So this was it!

"Ennead Chaos Gate… nine gates of primal dragon might…" Lucky Riot's eyes flashed as these thoughts floated to the surface of his mind on their own. He subconsciously fiddled with the pendant under his clothes. Suddenly, he had the most definite feeling that he did not possess this innate ability.

At least, not entirely.

Unfortunately, he had no idea why he felt this way. This was another strange soul vibe, and he had been getting many of them lately. Lucky felt that logically, this innate ability explained his state accurately. Therefore it made the most sense, so he ultimately decided to go with it. Time would tell anyway.

'Wait... did she say two sacred bones? How..'

"I do not know full details of this ability, but your father said that once you're ready to learn more, then all you would need to do is seek the scarlet shadow. Whatever that cryptic shit means, I'm sure you'll have to discover on your own." Clear Sky was visibly upset whenever she mentioned Lucky's old man, she obviously felt some resentment. However, wasn't Lucky the same? He didn't mind it so much.

"Professor, how do I improve the rank of my bloodline?" asked Lucky Riot curiously. This was something he desperately wanted to know. After asking this question, he felt a dominant psyche perception invade is body, and there was nothing he could do about it as his secrets were seen entirely through. Lucky had never once felt so thoroughly violated, and goosebumps covered his body.

"You have two sacred bones… I heard your mother did, as well. Your father had three before two of them fused. However, why is it that your inheritance bones seem nearly identical to his… merely, your divine dragon bone doesn't match completely. AH!" Clear Sky seemed to come to a realization, "Could it be that you also had three?! Did two of your sacred bones actually fuse already? How did this happen during the Mystic Essence Realm?!"

Lucky had thought that one of his sacred bones was hidden or something by Amenophis, but hearing his professor's words, he felt enlightened. He gently nodded in confirmation. He was confident that this is what happened, as he had heard Amenophis mention something similar.

It was just that, at the time, Lucky had zero knowledge of many of this world's wonders. This wasn't malicious, as him back then was simply too weak to know!

Seeing the boy nod, Clear Sky's shock grew even denser. It was only now that she realized that Lucky had been calm in spite of everything she had told him, other than the part about herself and his father.

It was as if she was telling him things he had some idea of already. This made Clear Sky suspicious. How could he possibly know any of this so well? A maidservant poured Clear Sky and Lucky some tea as the professor asked, "Dear boy, why don't you tell this Magus how exactly did your strength improve so rapidly?"

Lucky's hand that was reaching for his teacup stagnated, as he was unprepared for this question. After considering for a moment, he simply told the truth, "Well, when I was about seven years old, there was this incident…"

After listening patiently to Lucky's entire tale and taking it all in, Clear Sky wore a melancholic expression. Lucky almost felt as if he had taken her best friend away. Clear Sky stared out Lucky's front room window for a long time, before turning around to say, "It's good that you met him… if only once… and to think that Amen…should remain somehow. When I sensed his presence that day, I actually thought… sigh. At least now we know who the scarlet shadow is."

Clear Sky had always held on to the hope that Meno Riot was still alive and on the run somewhere. That bastard had a tough life, and she never believed he would fall so soon. However, the reality was cruel, and her beliefs were crushed mercilessly by Lucky's recounting of his youth, "Anyway, brat, you sure are lucky. Mn, that scarlet shadow should probably be the damnable dragon soul that has invaded your psyche. It is close by, so once you grasp how to activate it, then it should be simple to get some answers."

Lucky could sense her mourning heart, and he felt his gaze soften.

"Okay now, enough talking," blurted Professor Clear Sky. She followed up by equipping her Majestic Nature to mask to hide her breathtaking countenance, before walking to the courtyard while shouting like a drill sergeant, "Continue your Rank 1 magic training! Let's go!"
