“What’s her name?” Su Jiaojiao raised her eyebrows and asked.

Zhao Sisi said, “Her name is Xi Shu, a pretty girl with limpid eyes, and is much better than Xi Yao. I don’t know how the members of the Xi family are so different.”

Su Jiaojiao pursed her lips and smiled, thinking, Xi Shu didn’t have a blood feud with her. of course she would be much better.

However, Zhao Sisi judged others quite accurately, so she was probably correct if she said Xi Shu wasn’t bad.

Su Jiaojiao’s heart, which had been slightly anxious, calmed down.

After Zhao Sisi finished talking about gossip, she suddenly pulled Su Jiaojiao’s hand, and said in a sullen tone, “Jiaojiao, I’m leaving.”

“Huh?” Su Jiaojiao was bemused for a second. Why is she going? Where is she going to?

But she quickly reacted, after thinking about the recent rumors in the village, she understood what was going on. Even if Zhao Sisi was just a victim of Zhang Shu, there are always narrow-minded women who think Zhao Sisi is dirty.

Zhang Shu’s mother came here once and said that since her son had r̲a̲p̲e̲d̲ her, she would marry his son or something. [1]

Zhang Shu was sentenced to death, while Song Qingshan was sentenced to three months in prison. The former wouldn’t be immediately executed, so Zhang Shu’s parents decided to come up with this terrible idea in an act of self-preservation.

Of course, Aunt Wang chased her away.

But Zhao Sisi was also angry and scolded them without a care towards etiquette at all. She was like a shrew yelling in the street.

It was the same, Zhang’s parents never dared to come again.

Zhao Sisi pursed her lips and smiled. She was not in a good mood, but she forced herself to be happy, “I’m going home. My dad found me a match and applied for me to go home. I’m so happy I can go back! I’m just a bit reluctant to leave you and Xiaoyue. I can’t bear to never eat what you cooked!”

Su Jiaojiao smiled, “When are you leaving? I’ll make more for you so you can eat it on the train.”

Su Jiaojiao is a little afraid of social interaction and wouldn’t reach out to others actively. She can live her days without anyone else in her life.

But Zhao Sisi is just the opposite. At first, she wasn’t very likeable, but she was loyal to her friends. Su Jiaojiao didn’t like being too close to an educated youth, but she was not a ruthless person. Zhao Sisi very passionate, and had goodwill towards her. Su Jiaojiao did have some attachment towards Zhao Sisi after so long.

Zhao Sisi suddenly jumped up and said, “Thanks, Jiaojiao! You are such a good person. When I go home, I will send you something delicious!”

“My dad said everything would be arranged in about a week, and then we might… never see again.”

“It’s okay, maybe I can go to your place to play when I get the chance.” Su Jiaojiao smiled.

The next day, Su Jiaojiao rode to town.

Since Zhao Sisi was leaving, she had to make something unique as a parting gift. She thought about it in her mind, and decided on satuee’d and diced rabbit.

If you eat a few buns alongside the rabbit, it tastes absolutely amazing!

It would be a great luxury on the train!

She rode the bike forward with a smile on her face in the cool breeze.

Su Jiaojiao slowed down when she saw a familiar figure from the back, and hesitated. Should she invite her into the car?

She doesn’t like social interaction, so she pretends not to know anybody she isn’t familiar with. [2]

It’s just that the figure was a little girl wearing a pair of straw sandals, showing her toes, revealing that in the basket on her back, there are a bunch of dried mushrooms and some… medicinal materials?

She can recognize it, thanks to the medicated food she had been making.

Su Jiaojiao couldn’t bear it, so she decided to stop, smile, and say, “Little comrade, get on the bicycle, I’ll take you home.”

The skinny girl who trudging back home raised her head in surprise, with a touch of surprise on her face. “It’s you!”

Su Jiaojiao was taken aback by the dark smudge on her face, “What did you do to smudge your face so much?”

Armos D. Platypus: I feel like the author just started to lose motivation since there isn’t a coherent plot…like what’s happening to me…

[1] Thankfully, this is a trash idea even in the 70s, but if the author didn’t point that out I would’ve seriously worried for the IQ of humanity. (/j)
