Translator: Guy Gone Bad

Lao Liu and Bao Ye stopped chatting and looked at Nian Gao.

“Wind faster? What faster?” Wang Qiao was sewing her baby’s clothes and she didn’t understand what he was talking about.

Nian Gao replied in panic, “The game of god doesn’t end. The strong wind came after the lightnings.”

The clothes in Wang Qiao’s hands dropped on the ground.

Lao Liu and Bao Ye walked to the window. They saw the scorching sun in the sky, while it was blocked by the sand and dust blown all over the air. They could see nothing but yellow sand, with the rustling between leaves in the strong wind.

“Wind disaster…” Lao Liu remembered Bao Ye’s words in a few days ago. He suddenly turned to Bao Ye and said in astonishment, “Bao Ye, it’s the wind disaster.”

Which meant what Bao Ye had said days ago was all truth.

Bao Ye frowned slightly.

Nian Gao asked curiously, “Ugly slave, how could you know there were lightnings and wind disaster in the game of gods, and even know their sequence?”

Bao Ye smiled, “I told you I know everything.”

Nian Gao snorted at him showing his misbelief. He thought Bao Ye probably got the information from the owner since he worked in the owner’s office.

“As what the ugly slave has said, after the wind disaster, flood and plague will arrive.”

The word plague paled Lao Liu and Nian Gao.

They could hide in the buildings to evade from the lightnings, gale and flood, but they got no method to run from plague. Since they couldn’t know when, where or by whom they would be infected, and they could only wait for death if they were sick.

“Tell your families about it and take precautions against the disasters.” Said Bao Ye.

Lao Liu and his fellows nodded. No matter it was true or not, preparation was better than nothing.

When the day’s work ended, the slaves straggled to the gate with hands covering their eyes. But the trucks were late.

The truck arrived after they stood in the sand and wind for over an hour.

The slaves rushed on the truck.

The truck drove in an extremely slow speed. The driver couldn’t see the road and the wind blew the truck as if its head was about to fly.

The situation in their huts were far from good. The hut was made up of unsteady iron sheet, which flipped and created loud noises by the gale. It seemed that the hut would be plucked up if the wind got slightly stronger.

The slaves hided in the hut under great fear, with the flipping sound of the iron sheet. It seemed that they were about to lose their hut sooner or later.

“The game of gods doesn’t end.” Jiang Yu said in fear.

Others remained silence.

“Don’t worry, the iron sheet is not thick, we can’t be crashed or got killed.” Bao Ye tried to soothe him.

Their beds were in a three-tier iron frame, with 40 cm fences around the highest tier of the bed, which would well-protect them even if the rooftop had fell down.

“Jinx!” Jiang Yu glared at him.

Bao Ye,”…”

He was blamed for not saying comforting words last time, now he was blamed for being jinx after he had sent his soothing words. Would the rooftop act according to what he said?

It apparently wouldn’t.

The wind grew stronger at night and overturned all the rooftops of the huts, some pillars even got plucked up. Although no one was injured by it, the beds were are moved by the wind, and many slaves lost their quilts.
