It was understandable if Dongling Ce turned him down. Then he would steal food from the City of Joy or seek for food in the water.

This guy wouldn’t treat him well only when he got something to asking for. Dongling Ce curved his lips and agreed, “OK.”

Bao Ye was surprised, “Really?”

Dongling Ce promised, “I wouldn’t watch them starved.”

Bao Ye picked up a toxin expelling fruit, breathed into it and rubbed it on his clothes, “You Majesty, have more fruit, it’s good for your health.”

Looking at the fruit covered with more and more dirt from Bao Ye’s clothes, Dongling Ce took over the fruit and stuffed it into Bao Ye’s mouth.

Bao Ye grinned and took a great bite on that fruit, “Tasty!”

Dongling Ce snorted.

At night, Bao Ye rest with the slaves on the construction site.

They woke up and found the flood rose again.

Disappointment covered the site, “When will the flood go down?”

“It seems that it needs around half a month.”

A kid pulled the sleeve of his mother and cried, “Mom, I am hungry.”

They only had one bowl of gruel with few grains in it since the day before yesterday.

The female slave rubbed the kid’s head sadly, “Hold on daring, hold on.”

The kid sniffed the scent of meal and said merrily, “Mom, someone is cooking!”

The slaves around sniffed that scent as well and looked at the building eagerly. However, nobody walked to them with a food trolley, then they got to know that it was the breakfast for the deacons which they were not qualified to have.

Let alone the breakfast, they didn’t have the lunch, nor the supper.

They were almost starved and even wanted to grab the food whenever the kitchen in the building cooked.

Bao Ye waited for all day long but didn’t see the grains from Dongling Ce. He thought it must be another trick and decided to forage by himself.

The bosses from the three districts held the same thought. When they discussed where to find food, Dongling Ce came to them.

Dongling Ce called Bao Ye to his office and pointed at the black bulletproof jacket like equipment on the desk and told Bao Ye, “Put that on.”

Bao Ye picked it up, “What is it? Why should I wear it?”

“Put it on and I’ll take you to fetch the food.”

“Can’t you just send the food here? I believe your ability. You are capable for transport trillion tons of goods in a second.”

“Wear it or not?”

“I’ll, but you are doomed if there is no food.” Bao Ye put on the equipment and pointed at the two strips hung below the clothes, “How to put them on?”

“Put your legs in.” Replied Dongling Ce.

Bao Ye explored for quite a while before he completely put on the equipment. “Is it okay?”

Dongling Ce glimpsed at the hand on his shoulder. The scenery before them turned from office to the surface of the flood.

Bao Ye looked around. The City of Joy was just behind them. “Are we going to fetch food there?”

“Nope.” Dongling Ce curved his lips and unfolded his right hand, a fishing rod lied in his palm.

Seeing his smirk, Bao Ye became vigilant in a second, “What do you want?”

Did this psycho want to throw him into the water as the bait?

Dongling Ce quickly put the fishhook on his equipment and pushed Bao Ye into the water, “The food is in the water, go find them by yourself.”

“F**k you!” Bao Ye cursed and put a water shield spell to himself and fell into the water.

Dongling Ce delivered his voice into the water, “The food you are seeking for is giant, covered with scales all over. Its eyes are three times larger than basketball, teeth longer and sharper than the elephants’. If you see the food, catch them.”

Bao Ye’s eye corner twitched: the ‘food’ that psycho described was just the monster fish he killed yesterday.

“Is that monster fish edible? Isn’t it poisonous?”

“I had it before, it’s edible.”

Bao Ye rolled his eyes at him, “With your power, you can’t be killed even you take poison!”

Dongling Ce smiled.
