~Inside the church~

Alexander was currently in the middle of the church, bound by red strings, which took his mana away . Although slightly exhausting, it wasn't much for Alexander to get out of this situation, the problem was that Caster used her two remaining command seals to force him to take that position.

Caster was currently preparing the last details of her plan outside the church, but she always had an eye on Alexander in case he broke through the seals. With Lancer gone aswell, her plan was as good as completed, she now only waited for her reward to appear.

Caster appeared in the middle of the church, and floated toward Alexander. The scorning and hateful look she gave him couldn't be mistaken, and Alexander only sighed at her reaction. But the sadness behind the action wasn't unnoticed by Medea who was then even more angry at him.

" Don't you dare think that you know me pawn. " said Medea in a vicious tone, anger resonated through her words.

Alexander didn't answer, he simply closed his eye, the war was as good as won already, he wasn't an excellent commander in battle for nothing. As long as these idiots didn't die by Berserker's hands, everything should be fine. The only reason why he allowed himself to be captured by Medea was because he wanted to confirm something, and now that he got what he wanted, there was no need to stay here much longer.

The binding around him wouldn't be too complicated to tear through, even with the two command seals, his magical resistance was simply too strong. But he needed to wait for the idiot group to come here first. Such an action would surely attract Berserker and Berserker's master attention, as according to his calculations, there should be no other servants left. The golden king was an intruder, but he had been dealt with. With the use of his eyes, he didn't manage to find anyone else, although he wasn't sure if the shadow was really dead as it seemed to be connected to the Grail itself, but since he didn't check the device with his own eyes, these were just speculations.

He couldn't afford to use his eyes now that he had Caster's monitering on him, as she would realize atleast part of what it is, and then would deal with it quickly. Even if she certainly couldn't kill him, she could easily destroy his eyes while he was bound.

Seeing the lack of response, Medea gritted her teeth before sending a last glance and turning around. But at that moment she saw someone she didn't want to interact with by fear.

" What are you doing Caster ? " said Souichirou, Caster's Master.

" Souichirou-sama.... " because of the dream cycle, she had a hard time sorting her feelings towards her master that were fading away.

" Why ... why are you here ? I thought I requested you to stay at Ryuudou Temple " said Medea, with a hesitation that didn't go unnoticed by the former assassin.

" Answer my question first, Caster. What are you doing here ? " said Souichirou, with a harsher tone.

"... Yesterday, I seized one of the servant of Emiya Shirou, one of the other masters. I couldn't finish him afterwards, but now he only has Saber as a servant and the one I acquired is much stronger. " said Medea.

" I see. But I don't remember giving you such instructions before. " said Souichirou.

" I acted on my own Master. I attacked this church in order to obtain the Holy Grail's vessel. The pirest that was acting as a overseer is dead, along with Lancer. Unfortunately the Grail's whereabouts remains unknown. " answered Medea.

" You failed to return because you couldn't locate the Grail ? " At his words, Medea slightly bit her lips in frustration. " I get the gist of the situation. Now, can you explain why you acted on your own ? " said Souichirou, not letting his empty gaze leave Caster. Medea on the other hand took a bit of time to answer, and simply avoided her master's inquiring gaze. " I apologize. However, my actions were all for you, Master. My only goal is to... to help you Master. There is no other reason."

Souichirou, being an experienced killer, picked upon his servant's hesitation in her words, but decided to let it go. " I see ... In that case, you cannot leave this place. Search it until you're satisfied. Until then I will also remain here. " Souichirou simply sat at one of the bench that wasn't destroyed by Caster's minions during the fight and closed his eyes.

" N-No, that will not be necessary, Master. Locating the Holy Grail will take some time. It would be safer for you to return to Ryuudou Temple in the meantime." said Medea, looking quite worried for her Master's wellbeing. "A fair point. But if I did so, I would be unable to achieve my goal " answered Souichirou.

" Souichirou-sama, what is y- "

" Be quick, If it isn't there, so be it. I don't care how you accomplish it, I only care about the result. " said Souichirou, looking at the bound Alexander.

~At the Emiya Residence~

Shirou was once again dreaming of a barren land, filled with rust-covered weapon and arid wind. While Rin once again was surprised at Shirou's recovery speed, she was also worried about the current situation. Illyasviel didn't even want to listen to them, so an alliance with her would be impossible. The only one remained was lancer, but not only she doubted that he would be able to last long against Alexander, but also they had no idea on how to contact him, having seen him only once.

" We have no choice but to attack Caster without much help " said Archer, appearing near Rin.

" It seems so... we know where she is now, but I feel like this is a suicide operation. " said Rin, frowning and sighing in deseperation.

Archer didn't answer, but he felt the same about what they needed to do. But the longer they let Caster act as she pleased, the more dangerous she would be for them.

Suddenly, Saber opened the door. " Rin, Shirou is awake. " said Saber.

Both Rin and Saber entered Shirou's room. Although being able to stand up with difficulty, it seemed that the wound wouldn't heal as fast as previously for Shirou.

" Seems your abnormal healing isn't working right now. " said Rin.

" Y-yes .... But I'm fine anyway. We need to stop Caster before it's too late. " answered Shirou as he tried to stand up.

" No. " said Rin, closing her eyes and sighing.

" What do you mean ? If we let her, other innocents will be harmed ! " said Shirou.

" No, what I mean is that it's me and the servants, not you... You nearly had your arm detached and you're not healed, tonight you're staying here, there's no way you can not be a burden in this state. Only me and Archer will go to the church tonight. " said Rin as she left the room, not letting Shirou answer this time.

As Rin left the room, Shirou looked at Saber, trying to see if this was a joke as he couldn't let himself do nothing while there was a potentiel threat out there near him, but Saber simply had her eyes closed.

" I agree with Rin, you are not in a state that would allow you to fight " said Saber, not letting any room for discussion.

Multiple emotions went through Shirou's mind, but disappointment in himself was the most predominant. Unfortunately, Shirou didn't want to give up that easy, he was still upset by Shinji's death, and he would not let himself be just a spectator another time.
