OverGod Of Yggdrasil

Chapter 1 - World Tree Guild

It's the year 2126AD, a time completly different from the twentieth century. In this time, the world had a new field for entertainment, the Virtual Reality Field.

Virtual Reality was a means to an end, as it only came about since there was nothing worth living for in the real world. The real world was contaminated by radiation and poison that could harm the toughest man from just inhaling. Thus the scientist, the ones who were too afraid to end their lives, did enhancement to their bodies, making it so that they could breathe outside without mask or other types of equipment. However, to do the enchantment, one must be filthy rich as the ordinary population, or what's left, just wore the mask.

The Virtual Reality Field lead to the creation of the number one game of all time, Yggdrasil! Yggdrasil is a game where one could be whomever they wanted to be; the skies were the limit, figurately, and literally.

In Yggdrasil, If one wanted to be a God, one just had to pick a race, and a job class that coincides with the God they wanted to be. Want to be a King? One only had to create a Guild Alliance, becoming the leader. Even if one wants to become something ordinary like a Chef; with enough effort, one could become a Divine Chef!

Yggdrasil had a thousand of playable races, each with their many advantage and weakness. There were also over ten thousand spells, which means that no two players have the same build. The chance of that happening is one in a million, almost impossible to happen.

There were also rare races place all over the Nine Worlds, waiting to be unearthed.

Just like the name suggests, Yggdrasil was strongly base on the Norse Mythology. So if one had a race advancement quest, then most likely than not, one would meet one of the Norse Gods, especially if one gains a unique job class or a race advancement.

Yggdrasil, the world tree, has Nine Worlds. Each of the Nine Worlds was unique with its unique backstory. The most famous and well-known legend of the Nine Worlds mostly come from Asgard. All stories, whether we like them are not, nine times out of ten, originated from there.

The Nine Worlds are Asgard, Alfhiem, Vanaheim, Nidavellir, Midgard, Jotunheim, Helheim, and Muspellsheim.

Each of the 11 Devs is Primary Devs with many other people underneath them, which means that there are 11 Dev Department. After all, one person cannot take care of the game.

Shin Korahora was one of these Devs, the Rule Making Dev. Shin was in charge of making sure that everyone inside the game follows the rules if not, they would be ban for some time. Because he was a Dev, when he created his game avatar with the aid of his friend, Jesus Trego, a Hispanic Dev responsible for the many races inside the game, he gains a Dev Job Class, Rule Maker.

Jesus was responsible for every race that was added inside the game. He had to create a backstory to add the race inside the game. Send an application of the skills, magic, resistance, and weakness to the Dev that was responsible for the balance aspect of the game, Thomas Trevor. Thomas would then send the application to the Chief Dev to approve.

The race Shin and Jesus created would shock all the players if they knew about it. The race that was created called the Chaos Titan Race. This race could use all know magic, had infinite strength and mana, with the rest of the stats three times a regular person, as the Chaos Titan Race can have a level three time the average player.

However, one of the weaknesses that Jesus was insistent on adding is the amount of Super Tier Spell the Choas Titan can learn which is half of that of a regular player being 15. The other weakness was that the Chaos Titan as a race that could reach level 400, cannot use World Class Items since their power is akin to one.

After sending the application to create the Chaos Titan to the Cheif Dev, the Dev of the Worlds, it was accepted immediately with one restriction; only the eleven primary Devs could use this race, the people underneath them could not use the race.

Shin was somewhat mad that Jesus and the Chief Dev were so insistent on placing restrictions and weakness to the race. However, after thinking for a moment, it couldn't be considered a limitation since he as a Dev with the Ruler Maker Job Class, which means he could remove a constraint or a weakness on his body if the situation deemed it.

After creating the Dev Race(Chaos Titan) as the other Devs now call it, Shin went to develop his Guild, the World Tree Guild. Shin face many problems since inorder to create a Guild; one must have Guildmates, which Shin didn't have.

To solve this problem, Shin calls one of the Dev friends, Mark Twain, the most well known Dev after the Myths Dev.

Mark Twain had to create a Guild from scratch base on the blueprint he was given. The Guild was the same shape as the legendary World Tree, Yggdrasil. The tree was golden with four green, and tender branches, each branch a floor of the Guild sat, although each level was a big as worlds.

After a couple of hours of intensive work, Mark finishes creating the Guild, and add special features to it after the excessive begging of Shin.

World Tree Guild was unlike the other guilds that were located in the Nine Worlds since it exists in the void outside the boundaries of the planets. This was the only way to make the Cheif Dev not angry, as he wouldn't allow anything that would harm the development of the game to exist.

The root of the World Tree was piercing into the very fabric of space and time, making it seem as if the World Tree was rooted in a pond of water. The World Tree had four branches that went in the four directions. Above the World Tree Guild, a vast sun that size of one of the floors of the Guild floated near the tree. On the other side of the World Tree, an oddly shaped moon that was in a rectangle shape floated directly above the second floor.

The first floor of the World Tree could be said to be two worlds that were combined into one. The Northen part of the level was dark red with magma flowing through the earth. On the ground of this level, many devils and demons were frol.i.c.k.i.n.g under the terrifying atmosphere. The Northen part of the floor was name Hell.

The Southern part of the floor was dark, with grey clouds flying overhead. Since the visibility was low, ghost lanterns lit the southern world up. Inside this world, a river with yellow water raged through the land, breaking the earth apart. Inside the yellow river, many souls like entities could be seen floating on the surface of the water, going to what seems to be a dark palace. This half of the first floor is called Underworld.

The second floor is a floor or a world, was the same size as Earth with seven continents. This floor house the most habitant inside the Guild, with elves, giants, beast-man, monsters, etc., you name it, its there. This floor is called Earth.

The third floor is a place with one giant continent that size of Africa. This continent house many cities. This continent is one that floated on soft fluffy clouds, making this floor beyond beautiful and holy. For this reason, other than the fact that many angels and sacred beings reside on this floor, it is called Heaven.

The fourth floor that was a golden nation lies on a mountain top. Around the mountain that the Golden Nation resides, an ocean of water surrounded the base of the mountain from the rest of the world, creating a natural barrier. Ths floor is called the Golden Nation.

Many years passed since the heyday of the game, and it was time for it to shut down.

Looking at the falling countdown, Shin decides that he should log in, and spend the remaining time inside the game until he gets his next assignment in the real world.

Logging in, Shin found himself inside a massive body that was at least a thousand meters tall. Inside his game avatar, everything seems as measly as an ant.

The body Shin found himself inside had long black hair that was as thick as pythons and as heavy as mountains. Skin pale white with golden veins bulging up from underneath the skin, looking like thick compact ropes. The eyes of the titan are golden like two solar suns. The face of the titan was handsome, even with its massiveness.

The titan was wearing a black robelike skirt, covering everything below the waist but above the waistline, everything is just well-defined muscles. The muscles look like metal stack on top of each other repeatedly, before looking like it belong to a flesh and blood being.

Shin was inside the fourth floor, Golden Nation, inside his golden kingdom atop of the mountain peak.

Each step Shin took shook the entire nation, making a ringing sound as if bells. On the way to the throne room, Shin came across many servants, both maids, and butlers. Every servant was much bigger than a human at 20 meters or more.

However, to Shin, each of these servants was extremely small; in fact, humans were bacteria, Giants were ants, a titan being a human.

Shin nimbly to walk towards the throne room, reaching the two giant doors that resemble doors that separate worlds with its vastness. Each part of this door is the size of mountains, but they are still only a few meters taller than himself in his current form.

The two titans move as if machines and push the door open, making one wonder, how? How did they move such a massive door? Shin looked down at the two guards for a minute, before walking into the throne room.

The inside of throne room was terrific, absolutely one of a kind. The throne room appeared as if it had no ceiling; however, one shouldn't be a fool. There indeed is a roof but its one of arrays that are was far more potent than even an Artifact Rank item, in the fact that it's indestructible. The arrays can stop the blunt force of over ten World Class Items single-handily before receiving any damage.

On both sides of the throne room, 12 roman pillars stood erect, reaching the 'ceiling.' Each post was without design, just pure white. Hanging down from the white pillars, were flags that had the same emblem; of a tree resting peacefully in the palm of a titan, of indefinite size.

In the far end of the room, one giant throne sat, looking like work of art.

The throne was green with dragon talons as an armrest, and the backrest is a green dragon with red eyes looking regal. The air around the throne was heavy as a mountain, making anyone feel scared to even look at the person who sits on the throne as that alone would be a challenge.

*

Shin walked into the throne room, as he did, his body started to shrink, reaching 2 meters tall by the time he reach the throne.

Shin sat on the throne, making the throne pulse with power.

Sitting in his throne, Shin looks at the remaining timer seeing that he only had around a few minutes to do anything before the game shutdown.

'The time spend creating my Guild is around the same amount I had with the game. I spent no money, using everything I earned to create my dream Guild, a duplicate of the World Tree.' As Shin became lost in thought, he drummed his finger on the armrest, making 'zero damage ' to pop up.

' Hmm, maybe I should have created a Guild Weapon in the end?' Shin rubbed his chin, 'A Guild Weapon is important with maintaining and controlling the settings of the Guild; however, if the Guild Weapon vanishes, the Guild will follow. Hmmmmm, I don't need that, after all, I'm the Guild Weapon, as long as I'm not dead, the Guild will not cease. It seems pointless at this time since the game will end anything now.'

Shin stood up from his throne as he looks at his large hand, one that could easily smash a human to death. Viens was bulging, pulsing as if a constant supply of power resides inside.

Shin slowly sat back on his throne, and blackout! The Reality of the situation was too much for him to bear.
