OverGod Of Yggdrasil

Chapter 14 - Scale Elf Tribe

Reminding time to a couple of days ago, around the same time Lain chose the Fire Crow tribe as his focal point in the world, somewhere far away from the SliverSpring Continent, on the Elven Continent, one of the two continents owned by the elves, something amazing was happening.

It had been around ten thousand years since a god had ascended. The reason it was hard for a god to ascend in the Elven Continent was because of the low population of the elves.

Each tribe, already had their gods, thus making it hard for a god to appear from those tribes.

Because of the difficulties of elven gods ascending, the Elven Continent was in a joyous mood.

This might be the start of a new era for them, they thought.

The ones most excited were the Scale Elf Tribe, as the god that ascended was the god of their tribe!

This was the first time that a god had ascended in their tribe, making it a festive day for every one of the tribe.

With a god in their midst, the other elves finally accepted the Curse Scale Elves as one of them.

From this, one could tell that the Elven Continent wasn't as tight bitter as one would want you to believe.

In the Elven Continent, just like amongst the human race there were black people, white people, brown people, etc, there were different races amongst the elves.

For example, there were Blood Elves, Wood Elves, Night Elves, Moon Elves, Sun Elves and the most honorable race amongst the elves, the Harvest Elves.

So earning the acceptance of the other big tribes was a significant boost to the Scale Elf Tribe status as members of the Elven Tribe.

The Scale Elf Tribe should actually be call Dragon Elf Tribe in the language of the elves. Yes, this tribe is the result of a Dragon and an Elf doing the creation deed.

The dragon in question is from the dragon race, the Fire Dragon God. The Fire Dragon God is the offspring of one of the three Dragon Ancestral Gods, making his status as noble as it could possibly be.

The Fire Dragon God had left Dragon Continent one of the 33 main continents, secretly as he wanted adventures, and the first place he appears at was conveniently the Elven Continent, where he fell in love with a member of the Sun Elf Tribe.

As a member of the Sun Elf Tribe, the elf woman status was noble as well, just not as noble as the son of an ancestral god.

The two quickly fell in love and conceive the fruits of their love, a half-dragon, half-elf baby which to be honest was very cute.

The baby had very tender looking skin, crimson eyes, with a slit in the middle, curved horns at its temples. From the elven side, the baby had long red hair that seems to absorb the sunlight from the sun and a smoldering aura that makes almost everything combust around it.

This was the only child of the Fire Dragon God and the Sun Elf before they parted ways, knowing that they could cause a continental war between their races, as they broke a taboo of interracial relationship.

The child was left to its own device, fending for itself, and grown to become someone important.

Of course, the child's parent didn't want to kill their baby, it was just that if they brought the baby to any of their races, it would die, so it would make more sense to leave it, consider it wouldn't die for some puny Demigod teir creatures.

It's been over a thousand years since then, and the child created a tribe of his own, impregnating many elves, creating the Scale Elf Tribe.

The Scale Elf Tribe consists of only fifty individuals who are not bad, since the life cycle of a Scale Elf was one every forty years, after one turn 300 years old.

A Scale Elf maybe have they are the product of two long-lived races, which had extremely long lifespans, along with their innate talent for Fire Magic.

A scale elf could live for a thousand years, which was the same as a member of the big tribes. Of course, this is not factoring if one practices the way of divinity, if they did, living for fifty thousand years is not difficult.

Of course, the Scale Elf Tribe is also a Half God Race, since one of their ancestors was a god, while the other had a slight amount of Sun God bloodline, making them a half God Race since they had a slight amount of divinity in their bodies upon birth.

*

Currently, the tribe was cover in red, as a big fire was set ablaze in the center of the tribe, with many members of the tribe singing and dancing around it like wild beasts.

The tribe members were talking people, of around 2 meters with some being as tall as three meters. They had red crimson hair and two small horn hiding in their hair, with long pointed ears.

From a distance, one would think these were demons of the demon continent doing an evil ceremony.

The men were wearing skirt-like pants that covered their lower bodies exposing their upper bodies. The woman would wear clothes, that covered their assets.

Amongst these Scale Elf's were three distinctive elves. These three were women, that wore creamy white dresses that rest snuggly on their bodies, showing off their bodies hourglass figures.

The dress seemed to be made from silk that gleams with a creamy moon color, which showed clearing at this time of night. This further made the elves were it, to seem like angels.

At the edge of the dress, one could see small trees, animals and other entities of nature, adorning the dresses, which seem to be alive as they moved around, never staying in one place for long.

The c.h.e.s.t portion of the dress would perhaps be the most amazing thing these elves had ever seen, as it was what common human of a modern time call, bondage dresses, which only cover the n.i.p.p.l.es of the wearer and leave the other parts of the Brest alone, making a very indecent dress.

This had drawn many eyes from a member of the opposite gender, who seem to have heat in their gazes and baggage in their pants.

The arms of the dresses were sleeveless, showing off the beautiful skins of the woman. What made it even more enticing was that while the woman dancing and sang, scales on their faces, which do not diminish their charm in slightest, lit up, seemingly having a mind of their own.

As the women dance, an old man who seems to be on his last legs, walk towards them with a walking cane, " Three Priestess, it's time to preach about our god. We have been simply calling our god, our god, we need a name to go along with that title. Also, we need to have our god, create a barrier around our tribe less something intrude while we celebrate."

Hearing the voice of the old man, the three priestess stop and bow to the old man. It was a very respectful bow that showed that the three priestesses respected the man. However one could also see that it wasn't a bow signify he was above them, because how could a man be above the messengers of a God?

The man who stood in front of them was not only the founder of the Scale Elf Tribe, he was also the father of everyone inside the tribe. He was Dada Firestorm, the barrier between them and the harsh world outside.

If they couldn't bow to him, Who are they to bow to?

The three women nodded and spoke amongst each other, and after a minute of dialogue, the woman with the longest hair, the kind that reaches to ones her, spoke," Father, I will preach about our goddess, Gaia, the Goddess of Protection and Aid. Alice and Ann will cover everything else while I finish here."

Dada looks at his three youngest daughters and nodded his head, " Since that's the case, I would like for Alice and Ann to focus on getting the barrier prepared first, That the most important at present." As Dada spoke, one of the women with a babyface, spoke, " Father, our goddess had requested an audience with you again, she said you must come this time."

Dada stroke his beard, in puzzlement, what could be so important for this goddess to call for him? " Alice, did she give a time? I wish to meet the goddess for some time but getting the tribe safe comes first. If the tribe is safe and protected, we can do everything else at another time, However, should the tribe be destroyed, we would be homeless and face the threat of extermination. I rather be rude to a god than allow all I protected with my thousand years of life do vanish because of something that could have been postponed."

The babyface priestess, Alice shook her head, " no she didn't give a deadline but I think she meant for you to go to her today at the latest. Also, father, I understand where you are coming from but you must understand that our goddess is apart of this tribe now, so please stop avoiding her." Alice pout as she spoke, not understanding why her father kept delaying the meeting. Does he believe he could protect the tribe if a god attack? No! Of course not, that's more reason to meet the goddess and work countermeasures in case of a situation like that.

Dada shook his head slightly and pat Alice on her head, " Don't worry, I will go after you the barrel is up. Now be a good girl and go. Ann, you can start the ceremony, I need a moment with Emily."

Everyone left after getting their orders except Emily, a beauty with short shoulder-length hair.

Alice before she left stuck her tongue out at her dad, mad that he keeps treating her like a child. She was 300 years old, an a.d.u.l.t, although she was a kid a couple of years ago, she aspect to be treated the same as her sisters.

Dada ignores Alice's act and turns to Emily, " You should know what I'm about to say. I want you to think about it before you, turn me down. Currently, our tribe seems to be on the verge of becoming powerful, but that couldn't be the furthest from the truth. Around us, some of the big tribes are thinking of capturing our goddess and using her for their own evil d.e.s.i.r.es. We can only be safe if the Barrier is put up and she gives us divine tattoos. If we do all that, we could survive anything that thrown at us, however, I have even more bad news, I am currently as my limit, I only have around two decades left of life in me, any more and I would die. If I die and not chose a new tribe leader, the tribe will descend into anarchy, we the strong shall live and the weak shall die, I don't want for my tribe to progress along that route that why I have look for candidates that could become tribe leader and I had found two, you include. The first is Hunter, the son of Maine, the leader of the Hunting unit. Hunter is an arrogant boy with a bad temper. He believes himself to be above everyone else, including the goddess, which is the reason I don't want him as the tribe leader. If our tribe was a big tribe I would have considered it but would still not chose him since his attitude towards the goddess could cause the tribe to split into two camps. You, on the other hand, are kind, benevolent, which is a sign of a good leader, but what makes you my number one choice is that you are also ruthless when the time requires you to. That's why I want you to become the tribe leader, I will give you two decades to think about it." Dada looks at his daughter deeply as he knew her like the back of his hand. She might seem cold on the outside and rarely talks but she is very nice and protective of her family, mainly her sisters. He already knew what she would choose but he wanted her to think about it.

Dada turns around and left towards the shrine of the goddess, not speaking.

Emily stood there with her brows furrowed, as she knew she would have to assume the position even if she didn't want to. She had to protect her sisters, and to do that power was required, which was the reason she chose to become a priestess, because, what was more powerful than a god? Nothing, the power of the gods were the absolute power of the world.

Thinking about it know, Emily feels tired as well, she has always put her Sisters' lives before her own, their benefits, everything and now, she was about to do the same.

That's the price of being an older sibling it seems.

Their mother had died early and she had to raise her little sister by herself, making her like their mother, and them like her daughter. She loves them to the point of sacrificing her life for them.

Emily shook her head as she had plenty of them. She had many ways to become before the deadline. Of course, Emily would not be fool by her father's twenty-year limit, as she was sure that the old man could live another thousand years if he wanted, after all, he's the descent of a dragon and a sun elf.
