OverGod Of Yggdrasil

Chapter 3 - Gaia, My Wife

A half a day past since Shin had returned to his throne room. After knowing that his power was enough to protect himself from his NPC servants, Shin became laid back.

Shin spent his time reading up on the NPCs settings, and as he did, he realized that all the Guardians of their respective floors were mages, except for Raul, the Emperor of Earth.

Shin knew the reason he did this was that, although mages were powerful, there were situations where they were a hindrance instead. In the game, some areas would restrict the use of mana, which was the bane of all magic casters. However, for an odd reason, the Chief Dev never did the same for Warriors.

Shin had always been fascinated by magic; he was always amazed by how people with so little physical power could cause devastation with the wave of a hand. Plus since he had a chance, why the hell would he create warriors over mages?

However, Shin was not stupid, so for each floor, he created three Sub Guardians. These Guardians were all warriors, and in Raul's case, mages. Each of the Guardian was equal to a real Guardian in power, The mission of these Guardians was not to guard the floor, no, it was to protect the three portals located on each floor, stopping the would-be invaders in dead their tracks.

Other than looking at the NPC's settings, Shin activated the [Observational Mirror] once more, trying to gain as much information as possible.

With his intensive monitoring, Shin had some basic idea of how the world operated; however, since he was not there, all his data was only speculations on his part.

Shin from his research, realizes that the world was not as backwatered as he believed. The world was in fact at the very least as powerful as the 20 century Earth. The reason for his change of mind was that he notices that the inhabitants had created a unique governing system, which didn't pale in might with a World Class Tier Item's effect or a nuke in this case.

Shin had seen a king by accident waving his hand, causing the stormclouds that would form over his kingdom away with quite an ease. Shin notice that the man didn't emit anything that would say he was using magic, so it must be an item, or it could even be that the system of this world was more advanced than Yggdrasil in this aspect.

Gloominess formed in Shin's heart as he saw that the world had six regions, each region filled with kingdoms. That's to say there were far more World-Class Tier Items items in this world than in Yggdrasil. That was also to say this world had hundreds of possible World-Class Tier items, while his Guild only had one.

Shin didn't dare to think about it, as he was sure that the few trillion gold coins inside his palace would disappear in a week if he activated the defense and other the functions. That was also the reason why after he knew he was in a new universe, he shut down the Guilds systems, making the Guild operate naturally.

If there were Yggdrasil currency in this universe or even in this world, Shin would be more laid back about the Guild operating at full power; however since it was very likely that the coins he had were the last of its kind, he had to limit their uses.

Speaking about one of a kind, two individuals pop in his mind, making him wonder if he could mass-produce them. Maybe they could become a real race under his governance? However, there were problems with this; if he made them a race, he would be bankrupt, especially consider of the two people on his mind, one was a dragon, a rare dragon. Who doesn't know that a dragon's stomach is the gateway to a black hole?

Maybe if he terraforms one of the resource continents into a place where they could freely live, the resource need to make the dragon a race, would be halved?

The other race, though, would be difficult as that person would rather kill herself than reproduce with lesser beings, especially humans.

Shin was lost in thought, failing to realize that half of a day had gone by. No one could blame him, however, as he was thinking about the future of his home. He was wondering what the outcome of his action of directly conquering a world would lead to. Would the NPCs under his command rebel against him? Or world something else happened, something he was not aware of?

Lost amidst his thoughts, Shin woke up as he heard a voice speaking directly in his head. 'Oh, [Message] I never realize that it would feel this way after everything becomes real.' It was almost as if someone was speaking directly into his soul.

'How would I know how speaking into one's soul feel like?' SHin mused before listening to the contents of the [Message].

'Oh, I almost forgot, the name of my avatar is Lain End Chaos. I should probably start using this name; less the NPCs get suspicious.' Lain muse as he wonders how should he reply? He can't respond like a friend, nor could he replied coldly. They see me as a God, so maybe I should speak with the tone of a God? Wait, what does that sound like?

[ Oh, she is a second late, no biggy. Maybe I'm getting rusty. Oh, pay me no mind and let her in. In a moment, the rest of my family will come, directly allow them entry.] Lain directly went with the tone of a God who had too much knowledge but little time. Lain wanted to choose a tone close to his own, but considering that these NPCs see him not as just any God, no, they seem him as the Supreme God. So he had little choice in the matter. In the future, there is one more thing to fix.

[Your will, is my action, my Lord] The voice of the guard screams utter reverence from the bottom of its heart. Even without directly seeing the guard, Lain was certain the guard was kneeling, only standing up after hearing his voice.

The doors creak opened, unlike when it open for Lain himself. It was as if the doors were trying to say ' We only work with p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e for the Supreme God, everyone else is not worthy of our efforts.'

As the door opened, a beautiful woman that could put the sun and stars to shame, walk through the doors.

Gaia wore the same clothes she had earlier on, with the addition of a black ring on her ring finger. Gaia two draconic horns pierce through her blue hair, two pointed elven ears, and a calm ocean blue eyes. On her body, a light green one-piece dress, rest snuggly upon her body.

As Gaia finished walking through the door, it closes behind her, as if sealing her faith. Gaia raises his head, looking at the magnificent man that is her creator and also her husband, nervously. For Gaia, this was the first time they have been alone together.

Gaia has something she had never tell any of her children, and that is she is scared of him! No, not frightened, more like under immense pressure, the pressure of being above many people, living up their expectations, but fearing she would disappoint 'Him.' She fears that in his disappointment, he would cast her away, and create someone to take her place.

Gaia elegantly walked in front of his throne and kneeled, "Lord Lain End Chaos, Your servant, Gaia End Chaos await your orders. Raul is currently coming back along with the rest of our children."Gaia's heart palpitated as she spoke, fearing using the wrong words.

"Hmm, Gaia, why do you seem so nervous? Also, why do you kneel before me? Am I not your husband? Why do you not take your seat at my side, you are after all my Queen." Lain felt guilty as he knew why she was so scared. It was because Lain himself had program her to be insecure about her position as his wife. It wouldn't be a lie to say that Gaia would deliver a woman on a plate in order not to displease him.

Gaia is a person that relies on her love for her children as an anchor to be around himself. If she had a say, she would gladly divorce him, as she knew 'Lain' didn't love her. However, how would Gaia dare to divorce the Supreme God? Wouldn't that lead to the complete removal of her existence? If that happen, she would not be able to see her children again; those bundles of joy that gave her flawed existence meaning.

With a single thought, Lain directly read what was on Gaia's mind, making him feel that he must take responsibility for her, no for his entire family.

"Husband, I how would I dare. Just serving you is everything for me; that's our purpose in life." Gaia nervously answered, fearing what she thought before would happen.

"Gaia that was not a question, it was an order! You are my wife and the mother of my children, how would I allow my wife to kneel before me?" Lain voice shook the room as if invoked with a power that warrants obedience. To show he meant business, Lain created a green throne woven form plants next to his throne.

Gaia's face became pale at the beginning of Lain's words before her face seems to blush pink with l.u.s.ter. To Gaia, just hearing the man, she loves with all her being accepting her, made her heart explode with love. For thousands of years, Gaia had dreamt that Lain, her husband, would call for her. She wanted to truly experience the warmth of love she had heard about on Earth. Gaia wanted to become a real woman, a woman that had become one with the man of her dreams. Gaia was a person who lives in the real world, so she knew all she had dreamt about were her wild fantasies. How could a God that could create life, planets, and everything in existence be please with her, a mortal? So hearing the words spoken, made Gaia please that she was ready to visit her son Yama as a Ghost.

Standing up, Gaia bowed deeply to her man, before walking elegantly to her throne, which was to his right. To Gaia, the meaning behind the placement of her throne appreciated, as she knew he had made her his Chief Wife. Only Chief Wives could sit to the right of an emperor. The same could be said about a god as well.

Gaia knew that it was inevitable that there would be many wives after her, because of this belief, she was surprised that he had not taken another wife in the last thousand years. Take her son, Raul, for example, in his time as the Emperor of Earth; he had taken over a hundred wives, siring over a thousand children. It wouldn't be a surprise to say that the offspring of the Chaos family was enough to fill a state the size of Texas a few time over. That's not including Lucifer and Yama, as the number of offsprings would be uncountable.

Sitting down, Gaia shyly moves he hand onto Lain's, her face blushing as she did.

Since Lain didn't say anything, and Gaia lost in her world, the room became awkward.
