Reborn Into Pokémon With An Odd System

After the people had laid him down on a bed they injected him with the antidote and left. After a few minutes he heard the door open up, he had the urge to open his eyes and see who it was but he managed to stop himself.

"Kid I guess I misread you, when I saw you looking at the girl and not talking to her I assumed that you were shy, but to actually confront a pokémon like that to save her I see you in a new light. I can't wait to see what you're capable of in the future."

Max quickly recognized the old man's voice, after a small pat on his right shoulder Oak began to inspect his command seal "My aren't you a little young to have a tattoo already? Well each family has the right to take care of their kid, but still"

The old man sighed and began to start treating the bite to make sure that it didn't get infected. After he was done he began walking towards the door. "Make sure to be a bit more careful kid, I'll let the others visit you tomorrow."

For the remainder of the day, Max simply closed his eyes and began thinking back on ways that he could have done better in his fight with the Arbok. After a few hours, he just sighed and began to let his mind go free as he slowly went to sleep.

He woke up early the next day with a determination to be stronger faster than he currently was, the thing is that he wasn't sure how. Max gave a deep long sigh and shook his head "That's for Lance to figure out, my job is to make sure that I survive his training haha.

When he got out of bed he noticed that he was shirtless and his shirt was nowhere to be found. As he was running towards his room enjoying the cold air of dawn, Max heard someone.

"How do you feel, handsome?"

At first, he ignored it and kept running but he stopped when the voice began to get louder.

"Hey, hero I'm talking to you."

He turned around to find the blonde girl that had been trying to get close to him, he sighed and stopped "Isn't it a little too early for you to be awake?"

She inspected his body and smiled "I could say the same to you."

Max shook his head and sighed "I slept most of the day yesterday so I'm alright for now."

She nodded and looked at his left shoulder which had a large band-aid, "You sure gave me a scare, you know. Why would you do something so stupid just to protect that girl."

Without even thinking about it he blurted out "Because I like her."

The blonde girl looked at him in surprise and smiled sadly "I see, so that's your type huh."

She shook her head and stared into his eyes with a determined look, "Well, don't think that I'm going to give up on you. No matter what I will make you fall for me."

She turned around and left Max with his mouth wide open, "Looks like I'm going to have to be more careful, she seemed committed. Might as well at least try to remember her name"

He went back to his room and took out a change of clothes from his storage. It was a long sleeve weighted shirt that his mother had made for him after some begging. The most it could add was 10 pounds anymore and his mother was unwilling to make it, at first he decided to try and make his own but he painfully concluded that stitching wasn't for him.

Once he put it on he took out a sweater and wore it on top and began running around the camp. After about an hour and a half after he started running, he decided to call it a day and laid on the grass. He felt so comfortable that he ended up falling asleep, when he woke up and began walking to his room he was tackled from behind.

He stopped himself from having a face plant using his arms and ending up in a weird push-up position. When he got up and turned around he found Serena hugging him tightly. "He shifted her grip so that she was now hugging him from in front and not his back.

Max petted her head and ran his fingers along her hair "How is the young lady doing?"

She ignored him and kept hugging him, after about a minute she finally released him and smiled at him as tears flooded her eyes. Max wiped her cheeks and smiled back at her, "It's nice to see that you are okay."

Serena nodded "Yeah I'm okay, but I'm sorry that you got hurt while protecting me."

He shook his head "Don't be, that was my decision and I would do it as many times as needed."

The young girl looked at him with a confused expression on her face "Why would you go so far to help me?"

Max gave a wide smile and kissed her on the forehead "Because I like you, and I wanna be with you forever."

Serena's face turned into a dark shade of red and pushed Ash away "Wh….hhat...are…..yo…...you….saying." She quickly turned away and ran as fast as she could back to the girl's side of the rooms.

Once she was away he began to burst in laughter "I guess that was a little to forward on my part hehe."

He went back to his room, grabbed a change of clothes, and headed to the shower room. After he was done he went back and found that the three kids were still asleep, he woke the twins up easily but like always Ash was a lost cause.

After some time they were all awake and sat on the bunks of the twins and talked about the things that happened during his stay at the infirmary. "Dude you should have seen the eyes of all of the girls when they saw you walk out of the forest with that cute girl in your arms. Man, I don't know how you did it but they all looked at you as if you were some knight in shining armor."

Jake looked at his brother and laughed "Can you blame them, this idiot fought a poisonous pokémon to save her. Still, though that's going overboard I know that I definitely wouldn't do that for a girl that I didn't know, why exactly did you do it?"

Max gave him a shrug and smiled "Because I like her haha, I kinda asked her to be my girlfriend earlier today and she gave me the cutest reaction and ran away before answering."

Ash looked at Max with a confused expression "Why, did she not want to become your friend?"

The room quickly got silent as all of them looked at Ash, they sighed and shook their heads. Max looked at Ash and smiled "I actually asked her to be more than a friend, you know I want her to be my girlfriend."

He looked at Max "I feel like I kinda understand, any way you look happy so I wanna wish you good luck."

Max sighed and thought about explaining more about relationsh.i.p.s but he decided against it. If he did he might change Ash's personality, he didn't mind since he found Ash's dense head annoying but that would bring other problems altogether.

He saw how much Serena's case changed with slightly altering the story if he changed Ash's personality then who knows what other shit might happen later. "This decision has nothing to do with my goal of getting all the girls that were after Ash hehe."

During the show Max had seen how loyal the girls were to Ash, that's what made him get the idea in the first place. He shook his head to straighten up his thoughts and patted Ash's shoulder "Thanks man."

After talking for a bit longer the group headed towards the cafeteria.
