Reborn Into Pokémon With An Odd System

The next 4 days were calm Ash, the twins, and he spent nearly the whole time together. During those days the professors would split the group into two and take them to the forest to look at pokémon. Whenever they weren't doing that they would be playing around with some pokémon of the staff.

Max began to get more and more nervous as he thought "When the hell is she going to get lost?"

Finally, on the 5th day of camp when they were in the forest with Professor Vlad, he saw Serena and her two girls whispering. After focusing his attention on what they were saying his eyes lit up.

Girl 1: "Come on Serena lets go and explore by ourselves we can find way more pokémon if we go by ourselves."

Girl 2: "Yeah the professors are treating us like little kids and this rate we are going all we will be able to see are Weedles and Caterpies."

Serena looked at the two girls with a frown "But the professors told us not to wander in the forest on our own, and Mia you know that we have seen more than simply those two types. Don't forget that we are in Viridian Forest which is a well-known place to find bug types."

Mia looked at Serena and rolled her eyes "Well whatever if you are that scared then just say so, anyway we won't make you do anything if you don't wanna come with us then don't."

The two girls sneaked away from the group leaving Serena who took one last glance at Professor Vlad and chased after the girls.

Max sighed and looked at the group which was made up of 25 kids, Professor Vlad, and 4 staff who at the moment were talking to each other and clearly bored. Max quickly turned to Ash "Hey Ash I need to pee, I've been holding it for a while but I can't anymore. I'm going to sneak real quick and come back soon, I need you to keep silent and let the twins know in case they ask, okay."

The young kid looked at him, clearly trying to hold in his laughter. He nodded and gave a thumbs up "Don't worry I got it just make sure not to take too long."

Max gave his thanks and slowly made his way to the edge of the group, once he had gotten cover from the trees and bushes he teleported to where he had seen the two girls. He climbed the trees and began to follow the direction where he had last seen them go, by jumping from tree to tree.

Not long after he began his search Max was able to see them near a small stream. He stayed where he was waiting to see what would happen to have the girls separate since in the anime Serena was lost and alone.

They began to walk deeper and deeper into the forest in search of 'rare' pokémon. After about 5 minutes of walking Max was getting impatient. He was afraid that by now the group was going to notice that he was gone. He could also imagine that Ash was getting worried and knowing what type of person he was Max could bet that the instructors were already aware that he had left.

During his thoughts the three girls were getting closer to a bush that was moving, suddenly what popped out was a purple head with an open mouth as it showed its fangs. The three girls quickly turned around and ran but Serena slipped on something and seemed to have sprained her ankle.

She looked at the backs of the two girls as they ran away and cried out "Mia, Emily please help me"

The two girls without even looking back shook their heads with tears in their eyes "Sorry Serena but we can't do anything against that Pokémon, we'll go and find help as fast as we can."

Serena's face broke down as if she had her soul taken away and suddenly all you could see was anger "I hate you two, this was all your idea!!! I hate this camp!!!, I didn't even want to come here!!!"

As she was talking the snake figure of Arbok began wrapping Serena and began to b.a.r.e his fangs ready to bite.

Max quickly jumped from the tree branch directly above the giant cobra as he thought "Where the hell is the cute little Poliwag that simply made her scr.a.p.e her knee. Did things seriously get so screwed up because of me."

His punch connected right at the face of the head of Arbok stunning the pokémon enough to let go of Serena. He quickly caught her in a princess carry and started running away from the pokémon.

After several seconds of shaking its head, the Arbok was able to recuperate and quickly slithered towards Max and Serena. The pokémon was quickly able to catch up with them due to the difference in size between Max who was simply 5 years old.

Serena looked at his face and faintly whispered "Max how did you….. Thank you" he was only able to hear parts of what she was saying due to her crying. When he saw that the Arbok was gaining on them he was making up his mind to use teleport and get away but then Serena would see.

After some thinking he was able to formulate a plan, he looked at the small girl in tears and smiled "Listen that pokémon is going to catch up with us soon, at the moment it's angry at me since I hit it on the head. I'm going to hide you in a bush and lead it away okay."

She quickly began shaking her head and cried even louder "You can't leave me alone, if you do that then it will eat you."

Max smiled again "If I don't do it then it's going to eat both of us, besides I won't leave you for long trust me once I let you go I'm going to be so fast that it won't even have the chance to catch me."

Serena hesitated but then nodded "Okay just make sure that you stay safe."

He nodded and stopped next to a bush and sat her down behind it "Don't move okay" he walked away from it and began waving at the pokémon "Hey you idiot, bet you can't catch me" he stuck his tongue out and turned around and ran towards the dense part of the forest.

After running for about a minute he turned around to see the pokémon chasing him but stopped when there was nothing there. He began to search behind him and began thinking the worst "Don't tell me that f.u.c.ker actually attacked he...…"

Before he could finish his thought he felt a big impact on his back that sent him flying forward. After hitting the floor he began to use heal on his body and painfully turned around to find the 11foot long body of the Arbok looking at him with an evil smile.

"You son of a gun, you took a different path and waited to ambush me" Max smiled and tried to use teleport but the pain didn't let him focus. The giant pokémon began to wrap around his body while Max began to curse "This bitch, not even when I sparred with Lancer did I get injured so much"

He felt the Arbok sink his teeth into his left shoulder and inject poison on it. Then it opened its mouth and prepared to sink its fangs again but suddenly out of the corner of his eyes, a flaming figure appeared and attacked the Arbok.

It turned it's annoyed face to the pokemon that had just attacked him while it flung Max's body away. After some rolling Max was able to look at the pokémon that had just helped him. It was a Flareon he was sure that it was the professor's pokémon.

It had used fire fang on the neck of the Arbok and was now using embers on it from a distance as it dodged all the poison stings from it. After 2 or 3 minutes the roasted Arbok began to slither away

Flareon was about to chase after it but it stopped and turned around to look at Max and ran towards him l.i.c.k.i.n.g him. By now Max's body had been healed but he left the bite mark since his clothes were already bloody and had been seen by Flareon.

He stood up and petted Flareon "Thanks for saving me, let's go find my friend, and then you can help us get back to camp okay?"

The small pokémon nodded and began to follow him. When Max looked at the bush where he had left Serena he found her rolled into a ball crying as she covered her mouth. He smiled "See I told you that I was going to come back safe."

When she heard him Serena turned around with a smile but stopped as she saw his current figure showered in blood and dirt. She pointed at him "You are….are…..hu...rt" then she fainted. Max ran and caught her in time, he began to wipe the tears from her eyes as he thought "Figures that I wasn't going to have that heroic, lovey-dovey scene haha."

He princes carried her and turned to look at Flareon "Now it's your turn, lead the way."

The pokémon quickly nodded and began walking. After about an hour they arrived at the camp and were greeted by all of them. He walked towards the two professors and handed Serena to them "She hurt her ankle while trying to run away from….an...Ar...bok"

He pretended to faint and fall to the ground, during the walk back he had pretended to get sluggish over time. Luckily he was immune to any attack which also meant poison sadly it seemed like he wasn't so lucky with physical attacks.

Anyway, he didn't have to worry about the poison but the professors shouldn't find out so he decided to test his acting skills.

The two professors quickly took his shirt off and looked at his left shoulder. "He's been bitten quickly, take him to the lab and administer the antidote.

Max could feel his limp body being carried away and smiled inside "Great everything turned out fine, sure it was more painful and dangerous than expected but the results should make up for it. I just hope that it won't be this difficult to get Misty and the other girls.
