Reborn Into Pokémon With An Odd System

By the time Lance and Serenity appeared the sun had begun to go down. The first one to enter the cave was the female assassin, as soon as she saw Max she quickly kneeled and lowered her head "Max, it's good to see you."

He nodded and helped her up "Don't kneel to me anymore alright, here we are family."

She quickly nodded and went to sit on his right side. He turned to her and was about to ask for a report, but then he heard footsteps and found the blue-haired servant coming in.

Lance looked at Serenity and then at Max and smiled "So that's why you were speeding back haha."

She looked at him with a blank face and completely ignored him. Max could tell that the red-eyed servant was dissatisfied that he didn't get a reaction. With a sigh, Lance shook his head and leaned on the cave wall, "This is why I don't like assassins, they always lack feeling and a sense of humor."

Max smiled and stood up to greet his friend, teacher, and with the bit of a stretch his big brother. "So how did it go? Do we have funds or do we still have to wait?"

Lance shook his head "No can do kid, we weren't able to get any money out of those bastards."

He looked into the red eyes of the servant, it didn't seem like he was lying. Max started feeling down and sighed "Well don't worry, I'm sure that we can get something out of them sooner or later."

Serenity who was now standing beside him quickly walked forward and shook her head "That is a Lie Max, we were able to get money through blackmailing the CEO of Constructemon, it's one of the biggest construction companies in Viridian City, most of the buildings in the city are constructed by them. We targeted them due to the way that they treated the pokémon that worked on the site. We also have private information on other CEOs, but we decided to wait for your order."

Max listened to her and looked back at Lance annoyed. The blue-haired servant gave himself a facepalm "See this is what I mean, no sense of humor. Anyway yes, what she is saying is true, I just wanted to give you a little scare. I gotta say though, you looked like crap before I arrived. What happened?"

Max sighed and shook his head "I got rejected. So how much money were you able to get?"

Lance walked out of the cave and came back in with a big black bag, he threw it at Max who caught it and opened it. What greeted him were huge stacks of Poké Dollars, they were blue dollar bills that had the logo of the pokéball in the middle. In the corners, the number 100s were written and next to them there was a ₽ sign which was the symbol for the currency. He turned towards Lance and asked "How much?"

The servant laughed when he saw Max's reaction " Two million, we decided to target the least rich for now so yeah, we can get more if you need it."

Max turned to the female assassin "Is there really two million in here? Or is he just messing around with me again?"

She nodded, and Max sat down. He had never seen so much money in one place.

Serenity looked at him confused "Is this not enough for now?"

He shook his head "No it's enough, I'm just amazed that you were able to get so much money and you say that this is from the least rich person, dang."

They nodded and Serenity responded "Yes since our company is just starting we decided on targeting someone that wouldn't bring many problems. Once we grow stronger we can use the information we have on richer targets."

He smiled and nodded, "Yeah. that sounds like a good plan."

Max took out a list that he had been working on while he was waiting. "These are some of the next steps that we need to take."

-Get a place to live (Cave is nice but we can't live here.)

-Find somewhere we can build headquarters.

-Catch pokémon in the evolution tree of Pidgeot and Fearow.

-Catch pokémon that we can use for taking care of the trash.

-Train loyal workers for (Security of deliveries, warehouse and to run the company when we are busy).

-Create a website

- Form contracts with companies to sell products.

-Spread the word.

"I think that should be enough for now, once everything starts working then we can begin the expansion. We also have to be careful with people that try to imitate what we are doing, or try to sabotage us once the business is doing well. I might have stolen the company idea from someone else but he is in another world so it doesn't count. If anyone tries to mess with us they will have to pay the price "

The two servants nodded. He looked at Lance and smiled "How confident are you if I make you responsible for forming contracts with our future partners?"

The blue-haired servant laughed and scratched his head "I would much rather you handle that"

Max nodded "That's the thing, I've been thinking about it and realized that many people wouldn't trust a kid who suddenly showed up. That's why I came up with the option of having you act like my father or uncle who is training me in business. You can tell them that you are training me and came up with the agreement that you wouldn't talk at all to see how well I ran things. That would make you the face behind the company making them feel more relaxed. The downside is that the image of the company will be in your hands, if you have a bad reputation then it could affect us so you will have to start behaving."

When Lance heard that he was going to play the role of Max's father he gave a wide smile and nodded "I'm okay with that plan."

Max nodded and sighed "That's for later though at the moment we need to get a house. Once we do that will be our new meeting spot. Then we can split up, you will be in charge of finding a good spot for a headquarters near Celadon City since it's in the middle of the region. I will create the website and travel around challenging gyms. Serenity since you are an assassin and know the personality of people I was wondering if you could get honest people that would be loyal to the company? While we are all traveling we can catch the pokémon that we need for transportation and find some that we can use for our more illegal actions."

They all nodded, but Lance started pulling him out of the cave "I need to have a chat with you alone."

Max turned around and found that Lance was glaring at the female assassin who was following them. She looked at Max for confirmation and once he nodded she turned around and walked back into the cave.

Once they were in the forest Lance sat on the ground and Max sat beside him and asked: "What's up, you looked pretty serious back there."

Lance looked at the cave entrance and sighed "You have to talk to that girl over there, she was raised as an assassin and that leads her to not care about her body. Do you know what she wanted to do to get information on more powerful men?"

Max shook his head and the blue-haired servant continued "She was willing to sleep with him. She said that it was necessary to complete the mission more quickly and gain good results. Thankfully I was able to stop her by saying that you won't like that. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know, the decision of limiting her is yours."

He looked at Lance and nodded "Of course I'm going to have a talk with her, she might be an assassin but the moment she appeared here she became part of our family."

Lance smiled and patted his head "Go on brat talk to her, I'll be waiting here just let me know when you're done.

Max nodded and began heading back to the cave, he found Serenity standing and looking at the entrance. She gave him a small nod when she saw him. Max smiled and grabbed her hand "Let's sit down for a bit, there are a few things I want to ask you."

She nodded and let Max guide her, when they sat down Max looked at her and asked: "Could you tell me more about yourself?"

She hesitated but nodded in the end " I was created as a tool to be used for assassinations. Since before I can remember the group of assassins that I was a part of, made every part of my body poisonous to be so that I could be the definition of death. I killed many people, after a few years I suddenly started to feel the urge to know what love was so from time to time I would try to be in a relationship with my targets before I had to kill them. I would sometimes end their lives in bed or with a single kiss and watch them die to see if I could feel anything but after so many killings I didn't feel a thing. After some time I became the Hassan-i-Sabbah of the assassins and served as one of the Old Man of the mountain which is the highest honor one could receive. I was feared and titled the Hassan of Serenity but people called me Mary. For all these years I have waited for my wish to be granted, to be able to get myself rid of the poison that was in my body. That was the wish that you granted Max, and I will never forget it."

Max was surprised by her story, he got closer, hugged her and patted her back, "I'm sorry that you had to go through all that. The thing that I want you to know is that you are no longer in that group of assassins and from now on you are prohibited from sleeping with anyone to accomplish a mission. You are only permitted to sleep with anyone that you want because it's truly what you want okay?"

She nodded "Okay"

Max sighed and began to back away from her but she tightened her grip and wouldn't let him go. They were like that for a few minutes before she finally released him. He smiled at her, put the bag of money in his storage, and signaled for her to follow him. They walked out and found Lancer laying on the grass, when he heard them come out he smiled and stood up "So where to now?"

Max scratched his head "How bout some camping in Viridian forest, I would like to stay in the cave but if some people from Pallet Town come into the forest and recognize us then we would have a problem. Then in the morning we could cut through the forest and into Celadon City and find a house. Then we can each start working on a plan to start the process of making our company."

Lance nodded "Sounds good, but one question, have you thought about what we are going to name the company?"

Max scratched his head and laughed "I'll think of it tonight and let you know in the morning hehe."

The two servants smiled and touched either side of Max's shoulders, and all three of them disappeared without leaving a trace that they were ever there.
