Reborn Into Pokémon With An Odd System

"Hey, brat wake up."

Max felt something smacking him back and forth across the face, he quickly used his left hand to swat whatever was hitting him. He tried to raise himself up but there was something on his right side pulling him down.

He rubbed his eyes with his left hand and found Lance standing beside him "huh, why are you hitting me? There are better ways of waking someone up ya know."

Lance smirked and used his eyes to signal Max to look at his right side. He was confused at first but then he remembered that something was weighing him down. He sighed and thought "What kind of torture are you going to make me go through today.

He was left with his mouth open when he found the purple-haired servant wrapped around his right side and using his right arm as a pillow. Lance began laughing loudly "My, looks like that talk you two had last night seemed to go nicely haha."

Max ignored him and moved the hair she had on her face to the side "She looks pretty comfortable haha". He tried to slowly raise her head so that he could remove his arm but as soon as he did she woke up and smiled "I was pretty comfortable actually hehe."

He looked at her and shook his head "So you were awake the whole time."

She nodded "Yeah I woke up when I felt Lance getting closer."

Max sighed "Right guess you wouldn't be much of an assassin if you didn't. Well, then I guess that rules out the possibility of scaring you anytime soon. I'll just have to get you to teach me how to sneak around."

She smiled and nodded "Sure anytime"

Lance began to stretch and looked up at the sun "Alright then, we should start heading to Celadon City. Since you haven't been there we have to travel on foot. If we run there without stopping we should be able to arrive soon"

Max nodded and brought out some chicken "Before that though we should eat something."

After they had breakfast they began running towards Celadon City. When they were halfway there Max stopped them and took a break "Hey give me a second to catch my breath."

Lance shook his head and sighed "Man you are weak, we've only been running for a few hours yet you are already tired."

Max nodded "Yeah that's exactly why I'm out of breath, you know that I've never actually ran for this long. My body might get stronger with training but that won't happen suddenly, it takes time. I can take care of my body being sore with my healing but that doesn't regenerate my energy. Trust me, me running for 6 hours at this speed is already close to a miracle."

The blue-haired nodded "Yeah now that you mention it, we reached a bottleneck with your stamina. After all, we couldn't have you running 5 or 6 hours non stop otherwise your parents would say that I was overworking you. The only reason that you can keep up with 6 hours is because of the weighted clothing."

He sighed and nodded at the servant "Yeah I really didn't think of a lot of things when I made my wishes, however, I thought of a solution to our growing training time problem using my space magic but I'm still not sure if I can do it. I only told the god that I wanted space magic, I never really gave it any limits so hopefully, I can mess around with some possibilities. The thing is that I also told him that I wanted to be immunity from all attacks yet I still get hurt from physical ones. I'll just give it a shot and see if I can do it."

They decided to eat something while Max rested and then they ran for another 5 hours. After a total of 11 hours, they finally arrived at Celadon City.

"Lance you're up, neither one of us except you has been here so it's your job to guide us."

The servant nodded "Sure, would you want to go to an INN or a hotel?"

"Well I've never been to a hotel so let's try that. Lance nodded and started guiding them to a hotel that was not as tall as the rest of the buildings but it was in no way small.

As soon as they arrived a woman in her 30s walked towards them "Hello how may I help you?"

The blue-haired servant smiled at her "Hey cutie, me and these kids would like to get a room with two beds."

Max was about to say something but he felt the purple-haired servant hug his arm. The lady looked at him and then at Serenity and smiled "Sure if you can follow me to the counter then I could get you registered and give you your key."

Lance nodded and they began following her, after doing some paperwork they paid 350 dollars and received a key with the number 278. "That will be on the 18th floor, you can take that elevator."

Max nodded and began walking towards it with Serenity when he looked back he found the red-eyed servant leaning on the counter, "So beautiful when will your shift end? I wanted to know if you could do me the honor of letting me accompany such a fine woman as yourself for some coffee." He gave her a smile and the receptionist slightly blushed but shook her head "Sorry but I'm seeing someone."

Lance sighed but Max could tell that the servant didn't want to give up, ���Come on, it's only coffee I'm not asking you to be unfaithful in any way. If you are scared of hanging with a friend when he is your boyfriend then what are you going to be like when you get married to him? Let's just hang out and have some fun."

She hesitated and seemed to be thinking about it, she pointed at Max and Serenity "What about them?"

Lance followed the direction her finger pointed and when she saw them he laughed "They can take care of themselves, to be honest, I don't really know them that well. I found them in the forest and I'm helping them out cause they needed money."

The lady gave Max and Serenity a questioning glance, he was about to shake his head but suddenly Serenity nodded. He was taken by surprise but sighed and followed her lead. The woman smiled and then looked at Lance "I guess some coffee wouldn't hurt."

The servant nodded "So what time do you want me to pick you up?"

She looked at the time on her computer "Well it's 6:20 pm right now so in 1 hour and 40 minutes."

Lance gave her a thumbs up "Alright then I'll see you here when it's time."

They began walking towards the room, once they were in he jumped on the couch and turned on the TV. He started to feel like someone was staring at him, he turned in the direction of the feeling and found the blue-haired servant looking at him with puppy eyes "Hey kiddo hand me a couple grand won't ya?"

Max smiled and shook his head "Sorry old man, don't you remember? You found us in the forest without any money that is why your heavenly soul decided to help us."

Lance sighed "Come on kid that was just a cover. I need to practice my acting skills, now don't be hard-headed and just lend me the cash."

He sighed and looked at the servant "Dude you're about to go get coffee with a stranger who for all we know is engaged. What happened with self-control, you are about to become the face of (PE) for god sake. The last thing we need is our company getting the people's trust taken away by angry husbands and boyfriends.

"PE?"

Max nodded "Poké-Express, PE for short"

Lance scratched his head and smiled and began leaving the room "I got 3 things to tell you. First, you're making it sound like I'm going to get caught. Second, I like the name. And finally third, it's fine, you don't have to give me money. I have other ways of getting it."

Max took a deep breath and spoke before Lance could open the door "You're about to beat someone misbehaving and stealing their cash aren't you."

The blue-haired servant turned around with an evil smile "Me, no, never."

Max scratched his head "Ugh well here."

With a flick of his wrist, he made 3 thousand Pokédollars appeared in Lance's hand, "That better last you at least 2 weeks. Make sure not to do anything too stupid, I know that this is part of your personality but someday it will seriously get us in trouble. Also, keep her away from alcohol."

Lance looked at the money "heh man you're cheap, we gave you two million and all I get in return is 3 grand." Then he began mumbling to himself "I better remember to take a little cut to myself next time we blackmail another idiot."

As soon as he said that Serenity pulled out her daggers and looked at the blue-haired as if daring him. Lance sighed and raised his hands in the air in defeat "Hey alright chill, I was just kidding."

Then he looked at Max and pretended to look offended "Brat how dare you think that I need the help of alcohol."

Max smiled and continued watching TV, he heard the blue-haired servant mumble "This damn kid really gets under my skin. He's learned too much from me" and then left the room.

After a few minutes had passed by he remembered there was something important he had to do. He stood up and found Serenity standing behind the sofa on his right side, at first he jumped from surprise because he had forgotten that she was there.

He sighed and smiled at her "You know that you can just sit with me right. There's no reason for you to be behind me while I sit."

She smiled and nodded "I'll try, it's just kind of a force of habit."

Max nodded and asked her to follow, when they went down they found the same receptionist that had given them the key. "Umm hi, do you know of any good places to buy a computer around here? The man that was with us asked if we could find a place and check out the prices."

The woman began to think and after a few seconds nodded "Yeah 3 blocks from here going that way. It's a small 4-floor building with yellow glass you won't be able to miss it."

They thanked her and began walking the direction that she had pointed to. After a few minutes, they arrived at the building that she had mentioned and boy was she right. It was the only building around that had colored glass.

They walked in and were greeted by a tall man who's name tag said Ryan Smith "Hello there kids, is there anything I can help you find?"

Max nodded "I'm looking for a laptop, the best one that you have for coding. I kinda broke my dad's and with the help of my mother I have the money that I need to buy him a new one so he won't be too angry."

Ryan nodded and looked around "Where is your mother?"

"She had to go to a business meeting but we live a few blocks from here so she said to walk directly home afterward."

The employee nodded "I see, well let's go and get your dad an even better computer okay."

Max gave a short nod and they began following him, they took the elevator to the 3rd floor and began to be guided around. After looking around he found that the man was taking him to computers that were cheap, or at least cheaper than they should be. Max sighed and thought "I need something with more power and speed."

He walked closer to the employee "Excuse me, sir, none of these are like my father's. They are also cheaper than his. The man seemed troubled and took a deep breath, he nodded and asked Max and Serenity to follow him. They went to the 4th floor and Max could quickly see the difference.

He looked at the man and asked: "Which one is the best one that you have in the store?"

Ryan walked them to a 17inch laptop that was red with a logo of a humanoid pokémon that lit up in blue light. Max had to admit that the laptop looked badass, he looked around for a price tag but found none so he turned around to look at the man "How much is it?"

The employee looked depressed "Well you see like you asked for it's the best one we have in our store. The Deoxys Mothership is also the newest model that we have, in terms of speed and power nothing comes close to it."

Max nodded "How much?"

Ryan sighed "It's 8,500."

Max released a relieved sigh, he thought it was going to be something a lot more expensive. He looked at the man and smiled "We'll take it."

Surprised the employee looked closer at Max "Didn't you just hear what I told you."

Max nodded "Yeah, you said it's 8,500. I have the money."

Ryan looked closely into Max's eyes trying to see if he was lying but after a few seconds he sighed and shook his head "You better not be lying kid or me and you will get in trouble."

They went to the counter and waited for the man to get the laptop from storage. Max got the money out of his storage and waited silently. When they paid, Ryan was left with his mouth open, before they left Max asked Ryan if he had an evaluation form he could fill out.

He gave the employee a perfect score, he was surprised by how much patience Ryan had shown.

They walked to an alleyway and he sent the laptop to his storage and they walked back to the hotel. When they arrived the receptionist smiled at them "Did you two find what he was looking for."

Max and Serenity nodded "Yeah we got the prices, well see ya later and good luck with that coffee."

She smiled and nodded.

When they were in the room, Max brought out the laptop and put it to charge. After that was done he began customizing the settings and filling out what it asked him to. He hooked up with the hotel's WIFI and began to search for the phone number and address of realtor companies. They didn't visit any today because when they arrived in the city it was already 6:00 pm.

When he had a list of realtors he began to start coding the website for the company. Apparently, he worked for a few hours because he heard the door open and then got slammed shut. He looked at who it was and found Lance. When he looked at the time it was 9:34 pm.

He closed down the laptop and walked towards the servant "what happened"

Lance sighed and jumped to bed "She got angry and smacked me when I tried kissing her."

Max sighed and sat down on the corner of the bed "Yeah that will happen when you try to do something like that to a girl who already has someone."

The blue-haired servant looked up at the ceiling and closed his eyes "Why can't I have that, every time I find someone who is loyal she is already taken."

Max laughed "Well that's because the only reason that you know they are loyal is because they are already taken haha. Don't worry man I'm sure that you will find someone who is for you eventually. You just have to take things slow. Did you at least smooth things out or did she storm out?"

Lance shook his head "Nah I managed to cool her down and apologized. Still, though I doubt that I will get any sleep."

Max nodded and pulled out a water bottle "Here man drink something you look worse than I did when I got rejected."

The servant nodded and drank it without thinking twice. After two minutes he was snoring.

Max tried hard to hold his laugh in as he thought "Mom thank you for teaching me about narcotics, who knew I would end up using it like this."

He put a blanket on top of Lance and turned around to go to bed but found Serenity already sleeping in it. He sighed and looked at Lance "You idiot why did you have to get a room with only two beds."

He shook his head and grabbed another blanket and laid down to sleep on the sofa.
