Reborn Into Pokémon With An Odd System

Beep, Beep, Beep, Max grunted and hit the snooze button. He began rubbing his eyes and then opened them, as soon as he did all he heard was "Happy Birthday!"

He jumped up and fell from the bed, he looked around and found his mother and father with a cake in their hands. He gave them a smile and thought "that's right today it's exactly been 5 years since I got reborn here."

He stood up and gave his parents a hug "Thanks mom, dad I'm really lucky to have you two with me."

Farfetch'd and Arcanine pounced on him, making Max fall to the floor. One used his wing to repeatedly pat him on his shoulder, and the other one was l.i.c.k.i.n.g him over and over.

Max laughed and petted both of them, his father laughed and called them back to their poké balls. "Max when you go outside to play today make sure that you don't go out too late, when you come back we are going to go and eat at the diner."

He looked at his father, gave both of them another hug, a thumbs up, and then he ran out. After living with his parents for the 5 years they had gotten real close. His mother's name was Maria, she grew and sold medicinal plants for a living. His father's name was Lex and he was a carpenter and blacksmith.

It's been a year since he was allowed to go out exploring, he had used this time to look for Ash and to work out. The times he had seen Ash, the kid was always busy climbing trees or he would try to touch wild pokémon and end up getting chased around.

He sighed "Man how can that kid survive for so long."

After the constant workouts these past 3 years he had been able to get a well-developed body, he tried his best not to get too ripped that he would attract attention but still he had a good figure for his age. It fit with his looks that he had gotten from his parents, he had slightly tan skin from father, his black eyes from his mom. His hair was blood red like his father's, the bottom left side had black hair like his mothers. He liked it because to him it made him look badass.

At the moment Max was happy because today he was halfway to his goal of becoming a trainer, he could have gotten his father to catch a pokémon for him but he didn't like the idea. He wanted to challenge himself and start off with a starter pokémon.

There was also another reason that he was happy and that was because today was the day that he would summon a servant from the free ticket he had gotten from the god. There was just one simple problem and that was that he needed to get away from Arcanine.

During the year that he had gotten permission to go out alone, he had been being secretly followed by Arcanine. He gave a small smile "Looks like I have to start my plan".

He went towards the area where the grass grows tall and ran inside, then he immediately teleported to the edge of the forest. He had been practicing his teleportation skill in secret, it seemed that as long as he had been in a radius of 10 feet of the location once, then he would be able to immediately teleport to the d.e.s.i.r.ed location.

He quickly ran into the forest, after a few minutes he found a cave that seemed to be abandoned at the moment. He closed his eyes and began to think deeply.

A magic circle appeared and then a blinding light engulfed his surroundings. After it faded the only thing that could be seen was a man kneeling, he had blue hair, wore armored clothing and on his right hand, there was a blood-red spear.

Max looked at him and smiled, he knew right away who it was.

"Yo master what's up," said the servant as he began to stand up and lift his head. When he saw Max his red eyes widened in surprise.

Max was barely able to suppress himself from laughing, he waved his right hand "Sup buddy how are you doing?"

The man looked around searching for someone else that might have summoned him but after not finding anything he sighed and sat at the ground "Great looks like I'm going to lose again, ah why do I always have such bad luck."

He looked at Max and yawned "Kid are you even old enough to be out of your house, how the hell did you get involved in the Holy Grail War?"

Max shrugged and sat down next to the man "I don't have anything to worry about especially with you here Lancer, or should I call you Cú Chulainn?"

Lancer just shrugged "Call me whatever you want, I'm happy that you think so highly of me but you should be careful there are a lot of powerful people in this war."

Max gave a short smile "Actually about that you're the only servant that has been summoned in this world."

Lancer looked at him with a confused expression "What do you mean kid?"

"Well you see, things are a little different then you might remember. Let's just say that somehow you were summoned to a different world, as for how I knew how to summon you that's my secret."

Lancer looked at Max "Kid you have some screws loose, even if I like to play around with others I don't like people wasting my time."

Max smiled and began to look around but didn't find what he was looking for, "Follow me and you'll see what I mean."

The servant shrugged and began to disappear.

Max sighed and began walking out into the forest, not much longer after they had been walking he began hearing a pokémon behind him.

When he turned around he found a stick like pokemon floating upside down "BELLSPROUT!!!! BELLSPROUT!!!"

Then Lancer made himself appear as he held the Bell Sprout by its leg "I guess you were telling the truth about things not being what I remember them, so what is this thing anyway?"

Max was about to laugh "Hey Lancer I know that it looks weak, but I still wouldn't hold it that way."

The servant looked at him with a raised brow "Come on, don't tell me you're scared of this twig."

When BellSprout heard him it began to thrash wildly and started using Razor Leaf, the surprised Lancer dropped it and was barely able to dodge it. When he did, the Razor Leaf began to fly towards Max who quickly jumped out of the way.

He was pissed he looked at Lancer and yelled: "Could you be more careful, I nearly died!!"

That's when they heard a big boom, they turned around to see the tree that was behind Max cut in half by the Razor Leaf. They both swallowed their saliva and looked at each other surprised.

Max took a deep breath and looked at the angry BellSprout that was walking away "Sorry for that BellSprout he just thought you looked amazing."

It turned around and looked at Lancer angrily "BELLSPROUT BELLSPROUT" and then left.

"That was a Pokémon, there are lots of different ones here, I'll tell you more later. Now the most important thing is getting my parents to meet you."

The servant looked at him in surprise "Wait, what?"

Max burst in laughter "You should have seen your face, but yeah I need you to start being human"

He picked up a rock and gave it to Lancer "For that to happen I'm going to need you to whack yourself in the head and look injured, sorry."
