The guests were surprised. Besides being known for his prominent background, he was also well known to be indifferent and hard to approach. But now, he had actually brought someone with him to attend this banquet.

Who could Young Master Yi have made an exception for?

And what everyone didn’t expect, was when Yi Zhongshen rejected the usher’s help and kept the umbrella himself, his first words were not words of greeting to the waiting Head of the Bai family, but to the person beside him.

“The smell of perfume is very heavy.” He reminded softly. “Wear your mask properly."

Now, the guests were not only surprised but were also very shocked.

Who had ever seen Young Master Yi being so considerate?

The crowd finally placed their gaze on the other figure, who was much slimmer than Yi Zhongshen, and looked even thinner on that cold winter night.

His good features were evident even though half his face was covered by the mask. Just that pair of beautiful eyes were enough to draw exclamations.

The guests were amazed by the youth’s breathtaking looks but currently, the members of the Bai family were unbelievably shocked.

Standing in front of the pair, Bai Gelei could still manage to control his expression but Bai Song had already exclaimed out loud.

“Bo, Bo Xiyun?!”

With this reminder, the crowd finally realized who this young man was.

This was the imposter that had been thrown out of the Bai family?

Due to the Bai family’s social status, Bo Xiyun was not a stranger to most of the crowd. But today, the youth looked noticeably thinner, and his eyes seemed larger on his slender face as if he had just recovered from a major bout of illness. As a result, the crowd was unable to recognize him at first glance.

With this, the current situation was starting to look like a drama.

Young Master Yi actually brought this “imposter” here to the Bai mansion?

Until a few days ago, when Bai Gelei had traveled to B City to request Bo Xiyun to change his surname, he had suddenly received news that the Yi family had been asking about Bai Enterprise, and he felt he might still have had a chance for their support.

Thus, he thought Young Master Yi’s arrival today was proof that he was correct in his assumption.

When the guests were praising him for his ability to get Young Master Yi to accept his invitation, he believed the same.

But now looking at the accompanying Bo Xiyun, he was not so sure of the reason that made Yi Zhongshen pay this visit.

“This is……”

Due to the Yi family’s status, Bai Gelei had to be extra polite to this member of the younger generation.

Although he asked carefully, he didn’t receive a reply from Yi Zhongshen.

The crowd only saw Young Master Yi silently lower his eyes and look toward Bo Xiyun.

With so many gazes locked on him, the youngster replied, “To get some things.”

His words were short, his demeanor indifferent as if he was unaware of the many pairs of eyes sizing him up, and didn’t mind being surrounded by the crowd.

The youngster was pale and slim. But contrary to popular belief, he didn’t look like he was in dire straits after being thrown out of the Bai family.

Bai Gelei’s face darkened.

“I am accompanying junior to collect some things.”

Yi Zhongshen’s faint voice contained only the bare minimum of politeness.

“Unfortunately, we have bumped into this banquet and caused a disturbance, so by all means do carry on.”

Bai Gelei was forced to stop.

He could not show any disrespect to someone from the Yi family.

He suppressed his emotions, turned to Yi Zhongshen, and spoke normally, “How could it be a disturbance, Young Master Yi? You are too polite. Here, please step into the VIP room.”

Bai Gelei’s words were thoughtful but the guests had already discovered something was amiss.

Young Master Yi said, ‘Unfortunately, they had bumped into this banquet’.

This meant that Young Master Yi had no idea that the Bai family was holding this banquet today?

The crowd now realized.

Young Master Yi wasn’t here because of the Bai family?

He was actually here to accompany the “imposter”.

As expected, facing Bai Gelei’s personal invitation, Yi Zhongshen didn’t show any reaction. He didn’t even raise his eyes. “I will wait for junior here.”

Bo Xiyun went up the stairs alone and Yi Zhongshen stood by the main door, as he had said he would.

Although he did tell everyone to “carry on”, with him standing at the main door, who would really dare to continue?

The guests had started to crowd around Yi Zhongshen, but if Bo Xiyun was here, he would discover–

Just like in the school, no one dared to go too near to Yi Zhongshen.

Even Bai Gelei who stood right in front seemed to be thinking about something and subconsciously lowered the hand that he had raised to ease the atmosphere.

However, Yi Zhongshen spoke first.

“Who is going to help?”

Bai Gelei paused, then realized he meant to help Bo Xiyun.

“Are……there so many things that he needs help with?”

In all honesty, Bai Gelei didn’t understand Yi Zhongshen’s actions today.

He had never heard of any contact between Young Master Yi and that bastard in the past.

“Not a lot.”

Yi Zhongshen replied faintly.

“Wasn’t Junior’s belongings all thrown out?”

Yi Zhongshen’s voice was not loud, and his usual voice was low and full of magnetism. It was not the type that was loud and clear.

But with the entire banquet’s focus on him within this silent hall, Yi Zhongshen’s words were heard clearly by all.

The guests’ expressions subtly changed at this point.

On one hand, everyone was shocked at the Bai family’s actions—removing Bo Xiyun’s name from the Bai family was understandable, as Bai Gelei was indeed lied to for more than ten years.

But by throwing out his belongings, this behavior had fallen short of expectations for a family with this status.

On the other hand, and the most important factor, everyone could feel Yi Zhongshen’s attitude.

Listening to his words, it seemed that he was unhappy over Bo Xiyun’s encounters.

There was a natural sense of intimacy in this word.

Senior and Junior were common terms used to address each other in universities, but Bo Xiyun was still in high school.

And with regards to high school, Yi Zhongshen used to study at First High School, the best high school in Q City. Basically, the younger generations of these guests were all studying in First High.

If it were up for discussion, these younger generation members would all be considered Yi Zhongshen’s juniors in school.

But previously, they had never heard Young Master Yi address Bo Xiyun this way.

Was it possible……

The crowd could not help speculating.

Was Young Master Yi really here to provide his support?

Hearing Yi Zhongshen’s words, Bai Gelei’s expression stiffened. But after being reminded of Bo Xiyun, his tone was not good, “The Bai family had been cheated by him for so many years, and now my son has finally returned, naturally-”

Yi Zhongshen didn’t want to hear his story and interrupted.

“Documents.”

“Junior has achieved a gold medal in the Olympiad and gained an invitation for direct admission into T University. Now, he needs the documents and we will leave once they are retrieved.”

Yi Zhongshen’s tone was still calm, but his words in that casual tone were like a sudden clap of thunder in the crowds’ ears, causing a big commotion.

“T University??”

“Direct admission! Oh my god!”

“So Young Master Yi is here on behalf of T University?”

T University was considered to be the dream school for many in the current crowd, and also for many in the country. Even Yi Zhongshen, with his excellent reputation, definitely benefited from the status of being a “T University undergraduate”.

No wonder Young Master Yi kept saying ‘Junior’.

Once the direct admission went through, he would really be the junior to Yi Zhongshen’s senior.
