“Leave the Bai family?” Gu Sheng was puzzled, “Hasn’t he already changed his surname?”

“You mean…”

He was stunned when he realized, “The Bai family is also taking their anger out on Bo Xiyun?”

Gu Sheng frowned. “Didn’t the Bai family calculate the cost of Bo Xiyun’s upbringing and present the amount to the Liu family? Why are they still making life difficult for him?”

Yi Zhongshen didn’t speak and instead forwarded a message on his mobile to Gu Sheng.

“He remembered the student number on the card.”

Gu Sheng paused, “You mean Xiyun?”

Yi Zhongshen nodded.

That student had taken a photo of Bo Xiyun’s name tag to force him to deliver the letter. At the same time, that student had cleverly hidden his own name tag and borrowed someone else’s tag.

The school had investigated the name on the name tag and discovered the name belonged to another female student.

But what that student didn’t expect was, he used his position as a Student Council member to enter the Grade 3 building and openly wore the student council card on a lanyard around his neck. He gave a sigh of relief and laughed, “I was still afraid you would dislike him because of the incident with the letter. It’s good that you don’t.”

Yi Zhongsheng narrowed his eyes and his expression resumed its normal coldness, the rare warmth he had just exhibited nowhere to be found.

He seemed lazy to speak further and turned his gaze back to the outside of the door.

Gu Sheng didn’t detect the change and followed Yi Zhongshen’s lead and looked outside the door too.

“Xiyun is still not back from his call? The confirmation procedure is really tedious.”

Bo Xiyun was still on the call discussing something with the teacher.

Gu Sheng watched him for a while and turned his gaze away. There wasn’t much to see. Mainly, Bo Xiyun was alone in the corridor and the rest was blurry through the glass.

He had no idea how Yi Zhongshen could stare at that spot for so long.

Gu Sheng returned a few messages on his mobile and suddenly remembered something.

“Right, Zhongshen, where are you staying tonight?”

It was late and they had to stay in Q City tonight.

The Yi family and the Gu family were similar. Although they had left Q City, they still had properties here that were cleaned daily.

Gu Sheng said, “I am not returning to the family mansion. Once I return there, the housekeeper will come over and my big brother will use this opportunity to check on my sleeping habits.”

During the banquet, the Bai family had invited him to stay but he declined.

“I just booked a hotel room on the internet. What about you?”

“I’m fine with anything.”

Gu Sheng hesitated and said, “Have you been staying up late frequently this semester? I’ve heard your school had a test in week fifteen that just ended yesterday. There are still two big essays to complete and most students only found the time to start on them today.”

“Since you have left the school, that means you should have completed them.”

Yi Zhongshen had always had high self-discipline. Gu Sheng didn’t think deeply about why he had left the school in a hurry and rushed to Q City.

He was just worried about Yi Zhongshen’s health.

“Aunt Su gave me some instructions before I left, she wants me to remind you about your allergy to unknown bedding.”

Gu Sheng looked at Yi Zhongshen and spoke.

“You have been staying up too much…watch out for your stress levels. Why don’t we confirm where we are staying tonight and get the bedding prepared in advance?”

It was obvious that Yi Zhongshen heard his words, but he didn’t even lift his eyelids.

Gu Sheng had no choice, he was well aware of the other party’s character. If he was unwilling to listen, his advice would be to no avail. When Yi Zhongshen said he was fine with anything, he really meant anything, where he stayed didn’t matter.

He had no way but to remind him again when it was time to check into a hotel room.

After a few minutes, Bo Xiyun finally ended his call and went back to the lounge.

The required documents had all been uploaded but the school was still worried. The teacher had given a call to the Olympiad committee and finally confirmed that all was in order.

Bo Xiyun said, “The teacher said that we just have to wait for the official announcement.”

Gu Sheng let out a breath of relief, “Congratulations, finally everything has been smoothly completed. It has been tough on you.”

Bo Xiyun shook his head, “I should thank you, Senior Yi and the teachers, for spending so much effort in helping me.”

As he said ‘Senior Yi’, he felt Yi Zhongshen look at him again.

The young man’s expression was indifferent as usual, but without knowing why, Bo Xiyun could feel that he was in a bad mood.

Without waiting for him to think more deeply, Bo Xiyun heard Gu Sheng speak.

“Oh right, I wanted to ask, when did you two first meet? Before the competition?”

Bo Xiyun nodded his head, “Yes, there was a training camp before the competition in B City. The teacher in charge of the team was Teacher Liu. He mentioned that there was a senior staying nearby and he scored very well last year. Thus, he invited Senior Yi over.”

“Oh right, the competition was held in Fu Middle School. Then it is very near, just right next to our two universities,” Gu Sheng said.

“Were there only First High School students in this year’s competition? Were there students from other schools?”

“There were students from other schools.” said Bo Xiyun, “The competition team included the entire city’s students. Each school had sent its own teachers and Teacher Liu was the team leader.”

“So it was organized by the city. That’s very good as it’s more convenient to lodge together,” Gu Sheng said. “It’s better than looking for lodgings yourself before the competition.”

Yi Zhongshen who was standing at one side suddenly interrupted, “How much was it?” 

Gu Sheng paused, why was Yi Zhongshen suddenly concerned about this?

Bo Xiyun was also a little surprised.

This was their normal procedure and Bo Xiyun was about to nod to concur when he saw the young man lowering his eyes to look at him.

Although the room was warm, standing so near to Yi Zhongshen, the minty coolness from his being enveloped Bo Xiyun’s every breath.

The young man’s voice lowered slightly, the ear-shivering magnetism at the end of his words becoming obvious.

He asked, “Where are you staying tonight?”

Watching this scene unfold, Gu Sheng was stunned, spine-chilling fear giving way to puzzlement.

He could hear how serious Yi Zhongshen’s tone was.
