Second Chance: Overlord

At Quinn Dan's request Uncle Ni gave the family of three a tour around the Sunlight Market Square. It was like going into a giant mall that had a store for practically everything. Quinn Xiao was going crazy as she found some great cooking ingredients and Quinn Lan was tempted to buy a longsword he saw on a Weapons and Armor shop.

After leaving Quinn Lan and Quinn Xiao to shop on their own Quinn Ni showed Xion the path to the library and gave him a plain yellow Sun Badge. The yellow Sun Badge meant that the owner of it was an important VIP.

After leaving Xion in front of the Sunrise Academy Library Quinn Ni decided to keep a watchful eye of Xion's actions. He was very curious to know the reason why his father suddenly had such a change of mood.

Quinn Ni had tried everything, he cooked Quinn Dan's favorite food everyday, took charge of the Branch which he hated but did a good job anyway, Quinn Ni even made sure to change his father's bandages and clothes. He was demoted from a fearless warrior rising in the ranks like a shooting star, to a damned housemaid! He had lost all his manhood when he did that!!!! Why wouldn't Quinn Dan smile and act all chummy with him who left everything behind for his father and act like he did with Xion who just got here! Quinn Dan hadn't even stepped foot out of his room in a whole three months and earlier he came out in such a good mood!

….Sunray Academy Library.…

As soon as Xion walked inside the library he was stoked! It was like going inside a castle of books. So many of them. Xion didn't even know where to start!

"Hello sir. I am so sorry to say that people who are not from the Sun Branch or from the Association, cannot come into the Sunray Academy Library. So if I may ask you to…." The clerk wasn't a rude person. She was actually very gentle and beautiful. Red fiery hair, yellow eyes that looked deeper than most and a curvy body that would drive anyone crazy.

Was this Xion's chance to fuddle with a Librarian? He had seen many of those a.d.u.l.t videos, it was rather adventurous!

"Ahem…" Xion coughed interrupting the Librarian and showing her the 3rd level VIP Sun Badge! As soon as the librarian saw the badge she composed herself professionally and began talking even more politely!

"I apologize for the misunderstanding Mr. Xion. Please, allow me, Alana, to help you by giving you a tour of the library…." She seemed rather embarrassed about the way she acted before. But, Xion shrugged it off and followed 'Alana' the hot librarian around the library as he memorized every single part and section there were that he was interested in.

As soon as that was done the Librarian ran away to hide behind a bookshelf and spy on Xion. She was curious of the reason why such a young boy was given a VIP Badge. Just by receiving that badge, everyone would know that the person isn't ordinary.

Xion walked calmly to the Medical section of the library. He could feel those two following him, but Xion just ignored them for now, he had to find out and learn Medical skills and techniques if he wanted Quinn Dan to owe him. It wasn't that Xion wouldn't treat Quinn Dan if the old man was a shit stain, family is family. But, Xion knew that to be the top Military Branch meant that the Master had incredible influence and wealth. Xion could tell that the Quinn family has a great amount of both.

First he grabbed a book called Basic Acupuncture which detailed and explained how to do basic techniques. The next one Xion grabbed from the bookshelf was Basic Medical and lastly Introduction of Poisons. He sat down in a tiny corner of the library and opened the Basic Acupuncture manual….

Just like that every Basic Medical 'must know' recorded itself on Xion's brain. He now understood what drugs to prescribe and how to make them from scratch. Drugs of grade F all the way to D had a 100% success rate if refined by Xion, those from C all the way to A have a 45% success rate depending on the quality of ingredients and lastly, drugs from grade A+ all the way to SSS and Unique drugs had a 1% success rate HIGHLY depending on quality of ingredients.

"FOR SURE! With this skill in my repetiore I'll be able to make money or deals in some tight spots…." Xion was happy that he now had such a skill.

He knew that medicines and drugs were needed for cultivation and other daily life uses here in Rain. Also, knowing so much about Medical now he had ways to prevent or treat normal diseases or injuries! What a gain! This is something many can only dream of…

Next he opened the Introduction to Poisons book. Instantly he felt the waterfall of information, it was so much info this time. As soon as the information was in his mind it was like he had always known it. Xion was already getting used to it, but he couldn't help but be happy! Even though revenge was something he needed to do so that nobody like the Demon King would come and ruin his plans again, he was also determined to learn more and conquer! The goal in his mind has expanded greatly!

He now understood how the Root of Meridians got inside Quinn Dan's body. That Quinn Lu is one cunning son of a bitch. It seems like Xion is gonna have to put on a show. Curing his Gramps was now something easily done if it was left to Xion.

…..Quinn Ni...

Hiding behind the bookshelves observing Xion's every move Quinn Ni was getting hungry. But, his curiosity was stronger than his hunger. Seeing Xion pick out various Medical books peaked his interest even more.

'Acupuncture? Medical?? Introductions of Poisons??!!' he thought to himself, he was now beginning to understand. Just like he thought from the start his father was poisoned! And there's only one man capable of doing something so cunning and cowardly as poisoning!

Quinn Lu….

Ni was angry at the moment, he had been looking into that, he was investigating Quinn Lu from the inside out. That motherf.u.c.ker dared try and kill his father, Quinn Ni will never let Quinn Lu have his way.

All of a sudden Quinn Ni felt a sharp nail tap him twice on the shoulder from behind. As soon as he turned around slowly he saw the Librarian who welcomed Xion earlier. Quinn Ni knows her from when they were kids, she is the daughter of the Principal of the academy.

Alana, glared at Quinn Ni aggressively, trying to understand why the Prince was following the kid. Was the kid a part of the Branch Master's family? If that was the case then it would explain why he had a Yellow VIP Sun Badge… Alana thought….

"Quinn Niii…. Is that boy your relative or something?!" Alana asked but all she got in return was silence….

"…"

She then tried to push it a little using her s.e.x appeal to pry something out from Quinn Ni….

"Come on Niii…. Tell me, Alana promises to do whatever the Prince wishes…" Alana said seductively with her finger at the corner of her mouth and pressing her two perfectly balanced JUGGS, they almost popped out. Quinn Ni knew very well of Alana's personality so he answered quickly and got out of there as fast as possible….

"Alana, stop acting like a fool! His my smallest nephew, I'll be on my way now…" Quinn Ni practically ran away but instead of leaving, he hid somewhere Alana couldn't find him and where he could see Xion as clear as day.

Seeing how Xion was completely engrossed in studying Medical techniques and stuff Quinn Ni felt quite relieved. Even though he himself had tried many times and grew a bit envious of Quinn Dan's attitude with Xion who had just begun to try, he was also expectant and grateful that his nephew would try and cure Quinn Dan. Anything he did now could only divide into two paths, either it quickens Quinn Dan's death or betters it in some way. Quinn Ni was already sure that a complete cure was impossible.

Xion noticed Quinn Ni and closed the book his System had finished downloading and moved to the second phase of his plan.

"It's time to pay the culprit a 'friendly visit'…." Xion muttered to himself, but his intention was for Quinn Ni to hear him and witness what Xion was about to do. Just like Xion expected Quinn Ni reacted and followed closely behind.
