Second Chance: Overlord

As Xion posted himself close to Quinn Lu's mansion, he hid under the darkest shadow. He looked around and observed the mansion using [Sensory Lv. 5] which could now cover 20km around Xion. From what he could tell there were at least thirty people inside the mansion, about ten seemed hostile, there were five who were doing something strange one of them was Quinn Lu for sure. And the other fifteen seemed to be resting or something similar, they also have a warehouse in the back that has at least thirty people sleeping inside….

Xion had sent Quinn Ni to do his part after explaining what he was up to. Xion had learned a new trick using his new skill [Aura Control Lv. 7] and focusing his Demonic Aura in his eyes enabling him to see in the dark. Xion was very joyful to see he could do practically anything with his Aura now.

So the task Quinn Ni had to do was to blow whatever was giving the Mansion energy so that Xion could go in as undetected as possible. As soon as the lights go out Xion speeds towards the Garden where the thing Xion needs is, that will be enough to give a jump start to his small plan.

*Viuuummm*

The lights went out and Xion rushed towards the Garden inside the mansion. It was a Garden in a room for some reason, like they were growing weed or something. But by using Sensory Xion could feel the same energy emitting from the plants in there as in the thing he needed.

So without hesitating he practically moved with blinding speed and successfully entered by reinforcing his legs with Demonic Aura. He didn't stop, even thought it was very dark he could see thanks to his Demonic Eyes which are created by using Aura Control to envelop his irises and the use of his Sensory which helps him evade his enemies by letting him know in advance where those assholes are located.

In the blink of an eye he was inside the room. Xion was right, the equipment was similar to when he cultivated weed in his bas.e.m.e.nt. The light coming out of the lamps giving the plants life is emitting something very different though. It felt like heavenly energy. Xion had no time to analyze them or to even get a good look he just stored them in his system inventory which now had ×20 Divine Seeds and ×20 Life Plants(M.a.t.u.r.e).

He didn't want to waste anymore time, he quickly tried to sneak out this time because his Sensory skill detected five guards in each hallway leading outside. To add to the difficulties inside, it was worse at the front of the mansion. There were at least thirty guards outside.

The weirdest thing was Xion couldn't feel Quinn Lu anywhere. It was strange he had felt him in the dungeons before breaking in, he couldn't have just disappeared.

Suddenly Xion felt about a hundred more guards coming in the direction of the mansion. It seems like they know somebody infiltrated and called for reinforcements to be safe. But, that was no problem, not for Xion.

He reinforced his legs again, but this time instead of running he jumped up between every hallway and the stairs leading up. Until finally he reached the top impressively unnoticed. He grabbed the round window's edge at the top of the Mansion leading to the back and broke through the glass flawlessly. Very mission impossible Xion praised himself as he sped out of the mansion's range.

Once he knew he was far enough he stopped at the meeting spot he had agreed with Quinn Ni. Once they met they sped like hell back to the King's Sun Palace.

From the moment they told Xion about the palace's name he previously thought that the family from his father side were all arrogant as f.u.c.k. But, the only arrogant loser in the family is Quinn Lu in Xion's eyes.

…..Grandpa Dan's Room…..

Once Xion went in he was asked to wait inside. Quinn Dan seemed to be taking a bath for the first time in weeks. So, once Xion got comfortable at a lone couch near the fireplace he checked his system to see his progress and all that. He also wanted to check the extra notifications the System had sent him earlier.

There were so many things Xion was joyful for. Firstly, he was happy to see he reached the King Realm Rank 3, he was now much more powerful than the previous Quinn Xion. Another surprise was that he gained items as rewards for defeating the monsters, such as, body parts, meat, manuals for skills and techniques, some Demon Blood Essence, SC coupons and healing potions. It was completely unexpected, just how much of a cheat was the system…

But, the thing that impressed him the most was the message of a System Update. This was something interesting it seems, adding new functions and such. The functions the system had were already dreamy, what else could it add?! Was it trying to make Xion fall in love with it?

He looked at the manuals he received and decided that they weren't for him and to save them for another occasion.

After a while Quinn Dan came out looking weaker than ever. He took a glance at Xion who was lost in thought and walked towards his huge closet and picked a yellow long-sleeve shirt.

"Xion, my grandson, have you made any progress?" Quinn Dan seemed excited but at the same time there was some doubt in his eyes. Xion was brought back from his 'daze' and smiled before replying with a positive attitude.

"Of course Gramps, I have everything I need to treat you, shall we begin?" Xion said and Quinn Dan nodded in agreement.

Xion signaled Quinn Dan to lay on his belly in the bed. Once Xion Saw the black splat of roots in the center of Quinn Dan's back he smiled and took out his basic Acupuncture needles. He then continued to puncture the Life Meridian which was in the center of Quinn Dan's muscled back. Xion had the system so when he punctured with the needle Quinn Dan felt no pain.

Xion continued to puncture the left upper side of the back where the Aura Meridian was and on the lower right side almost on the waist where the Gathering Meridian was. Once that was done the needles began to shine with a black and very condensed Aura which is being extracted from the Roots of the poison.

"This part is going to hurt a bit, please hold on and try not to move while I treat you…." Xion said worriedly, after he saw Quinn Dan nod in agreement Xion then began to use his [Aura Control Lv. 7] to quickly and meticulously draw the poison out….

"Okay, this is the worst part, you will have to cough the poison out and it'll even maybe make you throw up…." Xion advised. After just thirty minutes he was sweating like crazy. It was hard even with the system's help. He had to concentrate incredibly the reason being that he had to move through some other Meridian Veins before reaching the goal. Not being able to see into the patients body made everything harder so he had to be careful not to make it worse by injuring the Meridians that were still in good shape.

*Cough, Cough*

Black liquid came out from Quinn Dan's mouth and then a round and black pill with a faint golden glow came out of his mouths. Just like that Quinn Dan began to show signs of getting better. Skin had more color, fever was going away and he was throwing up whatever was left inside his body of the poison. Those we're all good signs, it meant the treatment had done its purpose!

While Quinn Dan was vomiting in the bathroom Xion began to refine the Divine Health Pill, it was obviously going to be low on quality since this was the first time he was refining pills. He grabbed the Root Meridian Pill and started to crush it inside a bowl he then retrieved two Life Plants that were very well m.a.t.u.r.ed and crushed it together with the Root Meridian Pill powder. He then used his Demonic Aura and Aura Control to rotate the ingredients and finally creating the Divine Health Pill as he named it.

Quinn Dan watched everything from the bed. It was exhilarating to see such a prodigy work wonders! At the same time he was dumbfounded by the abilities and skills his Grandson showed. Quinn Ni was right, the boy is going to be a monster in the future, such talent.

"Alright, all done! This is the Divine Health Pill, a little creation of mine, its a combination of the Root Meridian Pill formed inside your body and a Life Plant. If you cultivate with this Pill you'll be back at your peak by tomorrow morning and you will also gain a new lease on life, make sure to enjoy it Gramps." Xion explained as he threw the pill at Quinn Dan.

"I don't know how I can even start to repay you, I literally owe you my life Xion…" Quinn Dan said full of sincerity.

'A new lease in life, huh?' Quinn Dan thought to himself. He was just now feeling very moved by the moment. A new lease in life, after he was discouraged and told that his disease wasn't treatable. He felt it was a pity, but had made peace with having to die. He was very stressed about giving the position of Master to Quinn Ni un fear that Quinn Lu would kill him, on the other hand his oldest Quinn Lan was very powerful and smart. Obviously he was thinking of giving Quinn Lan the Master position.

But, now, Quinn Dan didn't know what to think, were all those doctors stupid? Or was his nephew a genius in Medical as well?! A true prodigy was before his eyes right now. So unsettling. 'Xion, once you grow and reach your potential the Wave of Life Sect will be too small for you….' Quinn Dan thought to himself as observed Xion admirably.

"What are you planning on doing now, if you need anything don't be shy and tell Grandpapa here! I'll make sure you get anything you need if it's in my control." Quinn Dan said enthusiastically, his attitude was suddenly very different. He was acting like he was seeing another son of his in Xion.

Xion heard Quinn Dan but was focused on his Gramps body. The black pulsating roots made from the Meridian Root Poison were fading and the scars were healing rather quickly. Was this the ability of a Legend Realm? Such speedy recovery, Xion was extremely urged to reach the top of this world. With the things he has witnessed in Rain he was sure he could mop the floor with that f.u.c.ker of a Demon King.

"Gramps, it seems like your recovering rather quickly…" Xion said as he looked at Quinn Dan's impressively and f.u.c.k.i.n.g too outstanding of a toned body. Xion was sure the old man's body state would be like trying to hit a gigantic meteor and expecting it to crack. Impossible, one cannot destroy a meteor with their fists….

Unless.…

Unless one gets to the Legend Realm then, one would be splitting their legs with one foot in a Celestial world. One step closer to leaving one's humanity behind and start to become a true immortal.

"My diagnosis might've been a bit off, if you begin to cultivate together with the Divine Health Pill, you will reach your peak in at the most ten hour…." Xion said. Quinn Dan widened his eyes in shock….

He was now sure, that Xion, was a genius. It wasn't just that the boy was smart, but he assured results. That confidence is a sign for someone who knows what he is doing.

Quinn Dan smiled gently and warmly and said in a gentle but rather scary voice.… "Give me that damned pill dear grandson…. Let your Grandpapa show you how strong he is after those ten hours…"

Xion laughed hysterically, this old man had just challenged him. Was he trying to kill him?! He quickly and very tactically changed the topic successfully and answered Quinn Dan's earlier question.

"About what you asked earlier... My Plans?! First I'll destroy every single thing Quinn Lu cares about, then I'll torture him and rob him n.a.k.e.d, and then I'll kill his a.s.s for hurting his own family. He broke the Iron Rule in my father's book…"

Quinn Dan was even more intrigues, was this kid really that brave?! But, Quinn Dan was here now and he felt much better. If it's with him Xion's plan will go well.
