Second Chance: Overlord

The Director kept pressuring Xion with her aura but Xion did not relent. It was fierce, electricity forming, but it was obvious the Director was suppressing her power. Her level kept rising slowly as if to see how much Xion could face, she wasn't trying to kill a new student the first day.

"Xion, I think you should stop. If you keep this up things won't be good for you when trying to make friends." Quinn Xiao said worriedly, Xion heard her voice and smiled. His answer shocked everyone even the Director whose hearing was heightened thanks to her cultivation.

"I will not be intimidated. If she wants a battle to the death, who am I to decline such a challenge?" Hearing this, the Director got mad at Xion's arrogance. Such a child and yet he thinks he can face one of the pinnacles of the Wave of Life Sect. If he won't be intimidated by her giving him a handicap than she has to let loose.

*Crackle, Crackle*

Thunder roared stronger than before coming from the Directors side. Her aura was now raging with power, seeing the Director raise her power Xion was shocked a bit. He had already reached his peak, the waves of Aura began to suppress him powerfully!

'This woman's power is far exceeding my expectations, worthy of being in the peak of the Legend Realm!' Xion thought as his nose bled. As soon as Director Xia noticed the boy relenting she too suppressed her aura. She quickly went and checked on her personal pupils and was very impressed with how well subdued they were. That boy actually affected and infected their subconscious with fear.

Director Xia slowly got up after seeing her students being taken away in stretchers to the Academy Hospital. She turned to the crowd which where still paralyzed in place by the display. Then her eyes met the boy who kept cleaning his nose from the constant bleeding, she grinned as if accepting a challenge.

Xion was angrily cleaning his nose. The old Director is indeed strong. His clots exploded from all the strength he had to use to protect himself from Director Xia's oppressing aura. Seeing the Director grinning at him made something clear to Xion. The old Director sees him as a challenge, he used to make that face when he was cornored by the various Mafia Families rebelling against his control. Too much fun, this woman will bring too much fun to his plate.

*Clap, Clap*

Two thunderous claps from Director Xia gave back the will to move to the crowd. Everyone set their gazes on the podium once again. The Director coughed two times clearing her throat and continued with her introduction like nothing had happened.

After she finished explaining the do's and donts of the Moonlight Academy she took everyone to the classroom assignments post. But, one name was taken down from the board. It shocked Xion and family to see his name taken down. Quinn Lan slapped his face and then solemnly looked at Quinn Xiao with regret.

Xion on the other hand already knew that Director Xia had taken him in. Was she thinking of making him her pupil just like Julius and that other chick?

Suddenly two guys in the school uniform, very tall to add, appeared before Xion and family. They told them to please follow them into the Director's chambers. With the idea of begging her to please not take this chance away form their son Quinn Lan and Quinn Xiao quickly followed.

They were guided into a HUGE office. Which was very deceiving from the outside. In the middle of the huge and beautifully lit office was a big desk and behind it sat a beautiful lady which the family recognized as Director Xia.

"Welcome, welcome. Please, have a seat. Would you like something to drink? We have plenty of tasty herbs that help cleanse the body, is anything to your liking…?" Director Xia was acting very respectful and politely to them which made things confusing. Quinn Lan and Quinn Xiao originally thought the Director was angry. Xion thought otherwise and was thinking the Director probably had some kind of proposal or was looking into recruiting him.

"Di… Director Xia, me and my wife wish to apologize for our son! You see, he is rather cool headed most of the time but a little competitive. Please understand that these are both good traits and would be a waste to not mold… please… let us..." As Quinn Lan made his attempt at apologizing the Director stood and stopped him from begging and kneeling by waving her hand and smiling.

"No, no, no. He he Brother Lan please that's not the reason why I summoned you here. We have no crazy thoughts of wasting such a talent. His name was taken down because his too extraordinary for the curriculum he was given. I mean to re-analyze and re-establish his classes with the potential I saw today.…" Hearing this from Director Xia both parents were instantly relieved. But, Xion crossed his arms and looked at the Director with confusion. Wasn't she going to recruit him? Why would she just change his curriculum when he just crushed her two best pupils!?

"He will be assigned a personal teacher and even an assistant for his stay in the Moonlight Academy. Also we want to pay for his studies it is very important for us to mold such talent with extreme care and also to establish ease of training and learning with no pressures to the special ones like young Xion." Xion was stunned after hearing Director Xia's explanation. Didn't she care for the rest of the students? Was she high? She's not in a position to speak this way. Well no matter as long as Xion's epicness does not go to waste his fine with whatever!

"So… what did you have in mind for our son?" Quinn Xiao asked worriedly. When Director Xia looked at her she suddenly flinched. She had recognized Quinn Xiao and was a bit shocked. She was so affected by Xion's performance that she hadn't noticed that the woman in front of her was an important one.

"Ah… Mrs. Quinn, umm… well he will go straight to complicated cultivations since he is at least King Realm from that display, yet he has a very powerful Aura which I have yet to understand myself. His teacher will be Mr. Kon he is our very best and most filled with wisdom. He only picks children with extremely high potential from every batch."

As soon as she heard the Director's words Quinn Xiao was surprised. Mr. Kon used to be the Master of the Moon Branch and very old. Quinn Xiao hadn't thought that he would come to teach at the Academy.

"That sounds very good." Quinn Xiao said with a smile as Quinn Lan nodded in approval.

"Xion, make sure to learn a lot from Master Kon. He is an exceptional Martial Artist and cultivator. He will help you gain wisdom and experience." Quinn Xiao said as she patted Xion's head caringly.

Meanwhile Xion was confused. Seeing his puzzled face the 'a.d.u.l.ts' in the room smiled. The boy had never heard of a Kon before. The only one he briefly knows about is the one presented in the book of Wave of Life Sect. That guy was old enough to be a decomposed corpse now. Maybe a descendant?

After that all of the parents left. The students including Xion were shown to their new living quarters. Most rooms were set with four people bunking together. Other special cases which were small in numbers were placed two per room. Lastly came Xion and four others which were placed in their own living quarters. It made Xion feel a little awkward he was looking forward to meeting people and making friend.

First, he was practically going to be home tutored. Then he was placed in a luxurious one person dorm. This was not going how he had expected. Was what he did really that impressive? Well, f.u.c.k it, he had no plans of hiding his powers anyways.

*Knock, Knock*

Xion was suddenly startled by the shy knocks on his door. They were soft but clear, who would come visit him in his first day? Was there someone he knew in the Academy? Or was this simply someone with bad intentions.

Xion's old paranoia began resurfacing. He was ready to kick down anyone who came looking for a beating.

*Knock, Knock*

The knocks were louder now. Which irritated Xion. Whoever it is that's looking for trouble will get it today. Oh yes they will, Xion was ready to get bloody!

"Yeah! Yeah! Hold you p.a.n.t.i.e.s!! Knocking so rudely, wait for me, I'll be out in a jiffy!" Xion said stomping towards the door.

*Bam*

He forcefully opened the door making it crash into the wall. Luckily it was sturdy, a normal door would've quickly splintered by the force of impact.

But, he was surprised to see that it wasnt trouble. Or at least he hoped not.
