Second Chance: Overlord

Reaching the exit of the sect from the side of the Moon Branch was a very interesting experience.

First of, there was a line filled with merchants and traders both coming in and out of the Main Entrance.

The most interesting and convinient for the students of the Moonlight Academy was being able to have their own in's and outs of the sect.

There was a separate entrance and even though it wasn't as long as the Main entrance there was also a small line there.

"Sign this contract, it has some requests from the sect saying they will not be held responsible for anything that happens to the students who leave the sect, instead the Moonlight Academy will be held accountable. Please make sure to keep safe, there are many dangerous beasts, there are also rumors of a Divine Beast who is protecting some kind of treasure, if you encounter the Divine Beast please make sure to proceed with caution and to not bark. Because you'll lose your teeth when it comes time to bite .." a guard who seemed reliable explained to everyone on the line, they were all students but seemed quite powerful there were three guys and two girls excluding Xion and Karen.

They began to sign and say their names to be noted on a board big enough for many to see as to not forget who is outside. That way if it becomes too late and someone doesn't come back the guards will know and notify the Moon Branch Council.

What Xion hadn't expected was to hear the name of the girl who rescued him. Her name is Lilith, such a person actually came to the hunting grounds? Is she a powerful cultivator or something?

Xion thought that only people with certain realms or credentials were allowed to roam outside.

Finally, Xion said his name followed by Karen and they went on to explore the outside of the sect.

The trees outside of the sect weren't like the ones Xion had seen before. These were huge and the leaves were yellowy, the reason for the difference was obviously because the Qi outside was dense, there were also certain energies that Xion hadn't seen before.

"Okay Young Master. Let's be careful as we hunt, if we find ourselves facing that Divine Beast and something happens to you my head will surely leave my shoulders." Karen said as they swiftly sped through the forest.

"Alright…" Xion was calm, he was spreading his aura like a radar to see what was near that caught his interest.

Suddenly a Gorilla kind of beast was found fighting someone. It was the girls who had saved him he could tell by the aura around her. The Gorilla type beast was very powerful and Lilith seemed to be having trouble fighting against it.

Xion smiled and shifted his direction as he sped like a bullet leaving Karen behind.

Xion quickly summoned his sword and jumped going through the yellow leaves of the giant trees. He was now above the Gorilla which was how he caught Lilith's attention.

*Kah*

*Zing*

Xion kicked air and with incredible speed slashed the Gorilla type beast's head. Blood gushed out from the Gorilla type beast as it kneeled and fell harshly on its belly. The head rolled and Xion used his leg to stop it.

"Hey, you okay…?" Xion asked Lilith, but when he walked around the head of the Gorilla which was huge, but only Karen was there and her eyes were about to pop out.

Xion was kind off weirded out. He swore he saw that Lilith girl. Well whatever, at least he returned the favor and didn't owe that girl anything now. A thanks would've been nice anyhow. Tsk, woman are so troublesome.

"I-I'm fine, but you just took down a beast whose in the King Gold Realm and it's rank is 5…" Karen was stunned she couldn't perceive the Young Master's cultivation state so she had thought that this would be a nice way to find out.

But, she witnessed Xion slash the head of a [King Gorilla] who are beasts that are known for their iron-like skin. They are also very powerful one fist could turn a human into a Gorey scene of splattered blood and organs.

Yet... this Young Master actually sliced the head off its shoulders like he was slicing a slice of bread. Truly incredibly, she now admired Xion further and also wished to eat him up even more.

"Good… let's keep going I can feel many other strong beasts that will help with my cultivation…" Xion said trying to cover the fact that the person whom he had asked wasn't the one who answered. Women are rude….

Karen nodded and followed Xion deeper into the Hunting Grounds.

Lilith hadn't expect to encounter a [King Gorilla] it was rude of her to run after that boy saved her. She regretted her actions but what was done was done, nobody is worthy of her appreciation anyway. Commoners should just stick to their own.

Even though Xion has no interest in getting to know this girl, he had a very different impression of her. She had saved him from that arrogant brat. The least he expects is that she's even worse.

Lilith swiftly traveled the Forest while hiding her presence. She was looking for something very important that her clan entrusted her to find.

Her father had come and face against the Divine Beast [Thundering Moon Lion]. In a fight to the death both her father and the Divine Beast were gravely injured.

The [Thundering Moon Lion] is a Divine Beast born of both a Moon and a Thunder Lion. The mixture of the two bloods brought forth a beast with Divine Potential hence everyone calling the [Thundering Moon Lion] a Divine Beast.

It can use both Moon Qi and Thunder Qi making it extra rare. The closest to a Celestial Beast that the Moon Branch has seen. Celestial Beasts are able to use at least four types of Qi.

But, they all start as Divine Beasts before their potential evolves into the Celestial type.

Lilith searched for her father's treasure which was left stabbed into the [Thundering Moon Lion's] side. It was the Xiao Family's most important treasure, the [Moonblade Katana] crafted by a Legend Realm forget using Celestial Moon Shards and Starlight.

Her father was too injured to come look for it himself so he sent Lilith instead.

"So, this is where your hiding [Thundering Moon Lion]?" Lilith said to herself as she saw tracks of the [Thundering Moon Lion] including blood from at least a day ago.

It was inside a cave. Lilith quickly but quietly sneaked in to grab the [Moonblade Katana] and run off. She was royalty this was nothing for her.
