Second Chance: Overlord

While the [Wave of Life Sect] went crazy as they prepared for the incoming attack Xion spent just time training outside. He was now at the 8th level of the [Chaotic Realm] which was an amazing feat for someone his age in [Rain] not many 14 year olds can achieve something like it. Many his age are still trying to breakthrough to the [Warrior Realm]. Xion was growing too quickly and worried that his story might turn out to be the boring type.

"Help! Please, somebody help!" A little girl shouted desperately.

Xion quickly reacted to the voice and sped towards it. The [Demonic Jungle] wasn't a good place for children to be wandering around. Why exactly could Xion hear a little girl calling for help?

As he reached the place the voice came from Xion saw a little girl being surrounded by a pack of [Demon Wolves]. The little girl was terrified, she trembles as the drooling [Demon Wolves] closed the gap between her and then. If Xion were a normal kid he'd be terrified too, no lie.

As if levitating down Xion silently landed behind the pack of 5 [Demon Wolves] and with his [Moonblade Katana] slashed all of their heads of without even using skills. The girl was shocked since she hadn't seen the person who killed so many [Demon Wolves] with one slash. Whoever it was, she was sure it had to be someone on the [Legendary Realm] a powerful man like her father.

"Hey, brat, you okay?" Xion asked calmly as he sheathed his [Moonblade Katana] and stored it back in his [Inventory].

The little girl finally saw the person responsible for defeating the [Demon Wolves]. It wasn't a man but a child, four or five years older than her. She obviously thought that he killed the [Demon Wolves] with sheer luck, there was no way a kid could be so powerful. If such a thing were possible she'd be even stronger than the kid in front of her right now.

"I asked you a question…" Xion said irritated as he grabbed the little girl like a puppy and checked her for injuries.

"Hey you bully! Let me down or I'll bite!" The girl said as she blushed feeling her personal space being invaded.

"You could try! Your teeth will probably shatter once you bite down though…" Xion said with a daring smile that said 'I dare you..'

The girl couldn't believe this guy. First he invaded her space and then she was challenged by the cretin. Who the hell does this kid think he is?

"Let me down I SAID!" The girl finally shouted angrily.

Xion laughed at how she was acting and set her down. He became curious, the girl had a tail so she was obviously not a human.

'System, [Analyze]…' Xion said in his mind to avoid alerting the brat.

This girl seemed to have incredible Potential. Xion wondered about the [Body Cultivation State] [One-Tailed Fox]! He was curious, what would happen when she reached nine-tails? Would she become one of those beasts from that anime? Such a strange [Body Cultivation].

"Say, brat, are you some kind of Demon?" Xion asked seriously as he rubbed his chin thinking about his own question.

"Who the hell are you calling a brat? And who the hell is a demon? I'm a Beastkin from the Beast Race and your the brat!", Shanya said angrily as she fingered Xion.

Xion was taking a liking to the brats attitude, to top it off it seems like she is from a [Beast Sect] which is a new thing for Xion. He had read about it but never actually encountered one. There is a saying 'if you meet a Beast under a full moon, make sure to run before the night goes red and watches your impending doom...' it was a scary thought, to meet a Beast while the Moon is full.

"Brat Shanya, tell me, why are you wandering the [Demonic Jungle] by yourself? This is no place for children." Xion said as he sat under a tree and punched it slightly causing it to shake and drop a blue fruit called [Blue Sweet Fruit].

"I'm not a…." Shanya began saying but stopped as she noticed that the guy called her by name even though she hadn't told him.

Shanya grew scared. If this guy was one of the people belonging to the [Tang Sect] she would die just like her father did. Evil, evil people, mad, mad humans that look to enslave beasts to fight in their stupid war!

"Stay away from me!!!!" Shanya said as she tried to run, but, she hasn't eaten for days and had no strength.

As she grew afraid of Xion she had forgotten and tried using some of her [Beast Aura] to use her [Fox Step] [Foot Technique] but, nit eating for days caused her energy to dry up and she use her last drop just now causing her to faint. Xion hit up quickly and checked her condition, her meridians have crashed from excessive use, they were extremely dry and we're about to crack.

Xion quickly used his [Basic Acupuncture] technique and began forcing Shanya's meridians to open. After they successfully opened Xion passed on some of his [Qi] into her body, he used his [Original Aura] instead of his [Demonic Aura] since not many people are compatible with the [Demonic Aura].

The girl seemed tired so Xion decided to take her home with him until he figures out what the hell she was doing in this place. Also he noticed the way she reacted and it seemed like she wasn't that find of him saying her name, what was up with that?

There was only one way for Xion to find out, that was by treating the poor little girl known as Shanya to a meal and making her fell comfortable. If he were to just start interrogating her she might overreact and cause him a headache. Whatever the reason was, Xion was sure a parent wouldn't allow such a small daughter to wander into such a dangerous place like the [Demonic Jungle] so for now he had to take her to safety.

Reaching his house in the outskirts of the [Moon Branch] Xion entered through the door of his home. His mother Quinn Xiao sat as she prepared dinner while Quinn Lan wasn't anywhere insight? Once Quinn Xiao noticed Xion at the door she jumped in excitement and rushed over to him!

"My baby!!! Why are you home so soon?" Quinn Xiao asked excitedly.

"I ran into this small girl called Shanya in the [Demonic Jungle], she seemed to be alone and hungry so I brought her here to rest…" Xion explained with a calm face as he placed the girl on the floor mat he used to sleep in.

"Oh no! Who would let such a baby wander around the [Demonic Jungle]?" Quinn Xiao asked as she ran over to the kitchen rolling up her sleeves for her intense battle against whatever it was she was going to cook.

"That's what I'm curious of as well, I don't think she was left to wander, I think something worse led her to the [Demonic Jungle]…" Xion spoke her honest thoughts to his mother.

Whatever the reason, Xion would make sure to help Shanya since he knows what it feels like to wander around with no guide. If it weren't his Master back on Earth Xion wouldn't have become the great and powerful person he is now. Xion wants to help Shanya find her parents or help her the way his Master helped him.

"Don't worry brat, I'll make sure your safe…" Xion said as he sat beside the girl and waited for her to wake up.
