Chapter 2 – Yandere and Homemade

“Ah, hello again, senpai.”

“No, no, no, this isn’t right. Why are you in my house?”

“There, there, don’t worry about the details. I made senpai’s favorite tandoori chicken and it’s waiting for you, so why don’t we start eating?”

“No way! This morning’s conversation sounded like we were going to meet at college!”

“Eh? It’s because I’ll be very busy for the first four periods today…”

“Don’t give me that look as if I should’ve known about your schedule! I don’t care about that!”

To be honest, I had a bad feeling when I arrived at the door. It smelled really strong. Yoshimoto-kun, who lives next door, comes home late from his part-time job, so this smell is obviously from my house. But how exactly did this girl get into my house? Could it be…

“Do you have a duplicate key or something?”

“Eh, you’re going to give me a duplicate key? Please give me the duplicate key right away. Please, please, please.”

“Scary… No, I was just wondering how you got into my house.”

“Ah, the door was unlocked.”

“I see… No, wait. Just because the door was unlocked doesn’t mean you go in.”

“But if a bad person comes in, senpai will be in trouble.”

“A bad person has already come in.”

While continuing the conversation, Tsubaki expertly prepares a salad. It’s a rather pleasant looking salad with tomatoes and cucumbers, my favorites. I’m no longer surprised that she knows what I like.

“Then let’s eat dinner. Before the chicken gets cold.”

“Eh? Why are you sitting as if it’s normal? Take your food and go home already.”

“There, there, don’t be shy.”

“No, I’m not shy! I just don’t want to eat with you!”

“I see… I’m interrupting you… Then, please have the chicken, senpai.”

Ah, she’s really going home. And she’s leaving the food on the table. Tsubaki staggers towards the front door with a hunched back. Maybe it’s my just imagination, but she looks really depressed

“Ah, wait… Since you made it… Let’s just eat, okay?”

As soon as I finished my words, *grin*… Tsubaki looks back with a sly smile.

“It’s really okay? It’s really okay, right? From now on, I’m going to eat with senpai everyday. All three meals.”

“I didn’t give you permission to go that far!”

“Ah, I should have recorded that. It was the first time senpai invited me to join him. What should I do, I should make today an anniversary. Salad anniversary… No, I’ll make today a chicken anniversary. Hmm, it’s kinda like Christmas now.”

“Listen to me!”

Tsubaki mumbled something and walked to her seat with wobbly steps as if she was sleepwalking. This is the worst. It was a mistake to show mercy to this guy. I’m going to have a hard time kicking her out today. And she’s already started eating her salad…

“Senpai, would you like to have some?”

“Yes, yes…”

“What do you think? Does it suit your palate?”

“Ah, yes… It’s very good indeed.”

“It is, isn’t it?”

The look of triumph on her face is aggravating. But strangely enough, I don’t feel like busting her out right now. Well, I guess I’ll just have to wait until things settle down…
