The Princess And The Demon

Everyone on the island was waiting for what the human king is going to do, he was staring intently at the rock, not saying a word, few minutes passed without him talking, some tried to snap him out of his state but only to be stopped by the ice queen, it was obvious to her that he was solving a puzzle of unknown symbols, and she was very sure that he was more than capable of it, thus, she was willing to wait as much as needed...

"When is the full moon?" Henry suddenly asked, making everyone wonder, why was he asking about the full moon?

"No" it was Rima who answered him, "the full moon is two weeks from now, tonight is a moonless night" Rima answered, feeling frustrated, did they have to wait for two more weeks? but her frustration was cut immediately by Henry's grin...

"Perfect " he mumbled before turning her way, "so we have the first condition fulfilled, shadows and darkness"

Henry smiled at Rima's lost expression, she looked both intriguing and cute, trying her hardest to connect some dots although she has no idea where they are, it is only natural after all, she is a pure demon from the far isolated frozen lands...

"Have you ever heard of the secret vows? " Henry asked while he moved to inspect the symbols on the rock, running his fingers on one particular one, a circle with what looked like a crescent moon inside, "Holy vows, soul vows, they go by many names " he looked at her with those crystal eyes that she became obsessed with, waiting for her answer patiently..

"The ones made between, aah, lovers?" Rima answered unsure, the vows were not used by demons nor were they common among humans, her eyes stared at him trying to understand what was he getting at but sadly she failed...

"Yes that one, it is a vow used to tie two people's souls and destiny together, for life and after life, to make it though you need the four elements of nature and the blood of those concerned with the vow, timing is also crucial, it must be done on a full moon, it is one of the very few forms of magic that humans can....well i will not say practice since all they do is bring elements together and just let their energy do the work..."

"What you see here, this rock and these symbols, they are not vey much different from a vow, a passive spell created by a human, a Yoren to be more precise, to seal the passage toward the gods, it is also known as the blood seal"

"I never heard of it" one of Henry's lieutenants spoke, nearly lost in his king's revelations, he was a human yet he never knew humans can do such a thing, the demons on the other hand were in no better state, it was something they never heard of as well...

"So how do we unseal it?" Rima asked, if what she understood so far was true, than they are in a tricky situation, the blood seal, like the vow or any other bond is a passive spell that depends on the life force of the person on the first place, and on nature elements on the second, not to mention the timing, even if they can gather the elements and wait until the next full moon, how are they supposed to get the first Yoren blood, the vows were personal...unless....her eyes lit up with understanding at last, looking to Henry who was smiling at her knowingly...

"I believe we are going to need few elements then" she said to see him nod...
