The Twin Swords

"Grandpa , grandpa!" a 14 year old boy who hold a wooden sword with clothes stained by blood and soil said while rushing excitingly to an old man who is sitting in a wooden chair in front of a well built wooden house in the middle of the forest.

"Bai-er, since like you've finally mastered the sword style that I've taught you a month ago." the old man said to the young boy who is now in front of him.

"Grandpa, the sword moves you taught me are amazing , I finally defeated that black bull in the middle of the forest to submission using those moves." he said while waiting for the old man to praise him.

"Hahaha, as expected of my grandson" he laughed while patting the head of the boy.

"Go now and wash yourself , your clothes are too dirty." he added while gesturing him to go.

"Okay grandpa, I'll help prepare the dinner after i wash." the boy said while running towards the bathroom.

The old man smilingly watched the boy entered the room. "Sigh~ this boy is more freak than he's real grandfather back then. His grandfather took 5 years of bitter training before I call him a genius in this mortal world while his grandson only took just a month before mastering the same sword style that I taught to them." the old man said while smiling bitterly . He then sit back on the chair and take a sip to the tea that he just prepared a while ago before silently thinking "Its been 15 years since that night... Your child is already this old and talented but... he still never know about what happened at that time."

Yes, it's been 14 years since the night of the massacre in Tiang Kingdom where all of the boy's kin is killed, leaving none alive. The old man is the same old man that the former emperor of the Tiang Kingdom asked a favor to and the young boy is Tiang Bai, the child that he took away at that time. In the past 14 years the new emperor of the Tiang Kingdom declares themselves as the only overlord of the entire Palaran Continent, the different powers who are not weaker than the Tiang Kingdom first tried to oppose them until 1 day , one of the major powers who oppose the Tiang Kingdom was mysteriously annihilated overnight. Since then, all of the powers who opposed them and even a few powers in the nearby continent agreed to the decision of the Tiang Kingdom.

During the night when they are eating meal that is prepared by Tiang Bai. The old man looked at Tiang Bai who is chewing carefully the soft meat of a boar before saying "Bai-er , since tomorrow is your 15th birthday we are going to the town to buy you new clothes and shoes". "Really ?! , the first time I go there is 5 years ago. Thank you grandpa" Tiang Bai said excitedly while gulping the meat in one go. "Hahaha, its your coming of age ceremony so why shouldn't we go?" the 2 people happily conversed while talking about what they are going to do tomorrow.
