Walking The Jiang Hu

Chapter 10 - True Solar Fire Law

After seeing this technique he was very sure that he would choose this as one of his two techniques he would choose another technique to cultivate.

Yip An decided to take a further look around the room until he found another technique that peaked his interest.

There was a manual with a dusty old yellow cover with a rough cover that was hard to touch.

"Introductory Puppet Controlling Technique"

"With this technique I could probably kill some low grade demon beasts and use this technique to control puppet beasts and have my own puppet beast army!" Thought Yip An in excitement.

Though as he further read into the technique and the requirements his eyes dimmed.

If you wanted to control about 30 puppet beasts then you would to have an immense amount of spiritual sense.

Also, you would have to refine those puppets and leave a spiritual sense in all of them.

In additions, the cost for the materials is mind blowing unless they took the time to get them himself.

Yip An didn't want to leave this manual because it might be useful in the near future. It really broke his heart but he needed a cultivation technique so he could cultivate.

Yip An looked around and saw nobody was looking and tried to hide the book behind dome books near the bookshelf. If someone were to count and say how many books there were they would most likely count 255 instead of 256.

Yip An was very smart for hiding that technique for the future.

Yip An looked around and saw a technique named the "Arhats kicking techn"

But the title just ended there. This book was literally ripped in half.

Compared to all the technique covers that were in the hall were all nice and pretty with their calligraphy titles it looked like something straight out of a dumpster.

With a closer look the technique was all about making a massive amount of momentum and then converting all that force to your feet. That was the only technique that was described in the manual.

It seemed like this was only a remnant of the technique.

This technique was sure was something Yip An wanted to pick up too. Yip An though it didn't need a hiding spot for it and left it where it was.

Yip An decided to actually get a cultivating technique and not just look around for another ten minutes and actually choose his second manual.

Yip An decided to go simple and chose a wind cultivating technique.

"Whirlwind Cultivating Technique"

If he cultivated this technique then he would be able to gather qi faster by creating a whirlwind around him.

Yip An then bought the two techniques to Mr Kano to make sure he only picked two techniques.

Mr Kano then lifted one of his eyes up while leaning back on the chair and

looked at Yip An from top to bottom.

"Whirlwind Cultivating Technique and True Solar Fire Law. Hmm good choice", Mr Kano nodded in affirmation.

Mr Kano then had Yip An sign his name on a sheet and writing what techniques he had taken.

"Thank you so much!", Yip An bowed in respect

"It is my p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e", replied Mr Kano while nodding his head.

Yip An then turned around and came back to his residence and planted the herbs on the field.

This place was now filling up with an absorbent amount of qi. He could already consume qi and feel his cultivation rising just by standing here.

Yip An looked at the manual he saw before.

"Refining Herbs Framing Technique"

Yip An decided to start cultivating the technique and saw immediate results just after a few days.

When applying his refining method by refining the herbs with his qi the herbs saw a slight increase of quality. The herbs that used to be worth 1 spirit stones now cost 2 spirit stones.

After taking a few more lessons from Mr Kano he learnt that spirit stones were the main currency of the immortal world. There were four grades of spirit stones. Low, mid, high and peak.

They each had different exchange rates but no-one would exchange a higher grade spirit stone for more spirit stones but for less quality.

100 low grade spirit stones = 1 mid grade spirit stone

100 mid grade spirit stones = 1 high grade spirit stone

But nobody has ever seen a peak grade spirit stone and are only believed to be in the immortal realm and higher. Peak grade spirit stones were basically things of legends.

After Yip An refined the herbs he then watered the herbs with the little rain cloud he conjured up.

This rain cloud watered it with special liquids that enhanced the speed of the herb's growth.

Yip An then further studied the technique and found 1 more technique.

This technique enabled him to enhance the ground of the farm to enhance the speed and strength of the herbs.

Yip An was very satisfied with his hard work over the span of the two months.

Yip An was going to keep refining his herbs everyday in order to complete his job.

Over the few weeks he had been taking in bountiful amount of qi and had effortlessly broken through to qi condensation level 2!

Before he had joined the sect he had already broken through to qi condensation level 1.

Every time you broke through a stage in qi condensation your senses would be sharpened and you would see a very small increase of strength and speed but it was negligible.

Yip An then started cultivating the whirlwind cultivating technique.

It was very effective. Coupled with the fact he was on a herb farm that had an abundance of qi he gathered qi at an astonishing rate making a whirlwind of qi around Yip An.

In three months he had already broken through to qi condensation level 5!

This was insane! If Mr Kano were to hear this he would probably cough blood!

Yip An decided to slow down and stabilize his cultivation.

He sat down and looked at the True Solar Fire Law. For him to cultivate the technique he had to combine multiple high level fires and make it into his own.

In the contribution hall there was a Peak Human Lesser Snake Devouring Hell Flame and the Mid Human grade Green Dragon Breath Flame up for grabs.

In the cultivation world there are eight levels of artifacts.

Human,

Earth,

Spiritual,

Phantom,

Saint,

God,

True God and

Ancient Treasure.

Anything that reached the rank of Ancient treasure is considered something that is so strong that it could destroy whole worlds and even realms!

But nobody knows how many there are or if there truly are artifacts of that rank!

The Snake Devouring Hell Flame and the Green Dragon Breath were both up for grabs for 100 low grade spirit stones each! If he could combine both of these flames into his own flames then he could make a fierce fire!

If anybody tried to provoke him then he could just burn them straight to ash!

Though, where was he gonna get the spirit stones?

Yip An thought about this deeply for a few days and made a decision.

He was going to make talismans!

Talismans were one time use spells that could do a variety of things.

Such as temporarily boost your strength or speed or unleash a nascent soul's strongest attack!

Talismans were very expensive to make and required decades of hard work to truly become a master. Only rich people could possibly become a talisman master as the materials required for talismans in the early stages was shocking! The amount of failures there would be in your early stages would be 10 failures for 1 talisman you completed.

But why talismans you ask?

Because you can make as much money as you want as long as you have enough resources to expend.

He decided to have a trip to The Earth Demon Mountain Range.

These mountains have an abundance of rare herbs and treasures.

On the other hand, a whole handful of demon beasts live here.

There were major ups and downs.

Still, Yip An decided to go.

In order for him to become stronger he has to get those two flames. But he has to have enough spirit stones for those flames. So he decides to make talismans but needs materials. So he has to go to the Earth Demons Mountain Range in order to get those materials.

Yip An then made the required preparations and set off.
